OMG girl! You're nervous having to pay $70 for a space! I am in British Columbia, Canada and I pay $500 for a 2 day craft fair! AND I can't charge as much as you for my stuff because no one will pay that much. I bought the mermaid pattern today so I am hoping that will turn out well.
Hi it’s Shey!!! It was so great to finally see and meet you and Oscar! Next time I’m leaving my gf at home lol I couldn’t buy freely plus she was hot and getting grumpy because she was hungry 😂 Thank you so much for the strawberry 😊
I love your energy and enthusiasm! I am so glad for your success! You and Oscar are a wonderful team. Just wondering if Oscar could send me the dimensions of the shelves he made for you? Have a wonderful week of crocheting!
I apologize right now for how long this comment is going to be lol First off I'm a 52 yr old disabled woman who took a 2 year break from doing events HOWEVER I'm getting back into it full force. The items I sell are small and priced at $6 on the low side. I have always been a majorly busy booth and ironically enough I sell hair bows and a lot of my customers are MEN!! My sport bows always drawn in the men and then the wives and kids go crazy. My last event it was to the point I needed TWO card readers to be able to process card payments quickly enough. Here is some things I've learned...... RYOBI is your best friend.. YES Ryobi TOOLS They have a bucket MISTER fan that you put water in the 5 gallon bucket and the fan runs off of rechargeable ryobi batteries. I take and freeze a 1/2 gallon milk jug of water and put the solid block of ice (in the jug so I can reuse it) into the bucket and it makes the "mist" colder. put the bucket BEHIND YOU and on low so that it doesn't soak all your merchandise. RIGHT NOW it's Ryobi days at home depot and you can get a 2 pack of 4 hour batteries and you get another 2 pack free so for $99 you're getting 4 - 4 hour batteries for $99 and the mister fan is sold separately. This is a LIFE SAVER!!! You're cheating yourself out of sales by not having multiple and multiple of the SAME item and same color. I don't ever take a break from making items. I got it I'm an old disabled woman so I don't have a life unless my grankids are around but this IS my hobby and I'm blessed to be able to make money off of it and it keeps my mind sharp (although it's given me arthritis in my hands lol). I wouldn't change what I do! BECAUSE I am disabled and it's extremely hard for me to set up I usually tend to do 3 day events. I pay almost $250-$300 for booth rental fees but I walk away with over 2 grand EASY and would still go away with more if instead of having 30 ariel bows I had made 50 or even more. When you THINK You have enough of something KEEP prepping items I've learned variety is nice but the hot sellers definitely need to be your focus. Get a roll of yarn (I know that's not the proper term lol) and crochet the same item over and over until that color is gone then move onto the next color. PREP PREP PREP it's losing you sales by not being able to replace the one that sold with another of the exact same item once that has sold. I'm curious to see how you grow and want to see your successes.. I'm going to subscribe. I'm watching videos while i pack my shop orders and go right into prepping for the next event. Here is a couple suggestions....... "Zom-BEE" bees (green and black) start prepping now for a halloween sale a mine craft zombie cube and last is a nemo & flounder colored fish. maybe crocheting a "bee hive" and displaying some of your bees in the hive just for display purposes for your booth. Also a "momma" dino to look over a basket (nest ) of baby dinos. These little tactics really do make a booth stand out. Best wishes (I'm on instagram and facebook @ The Ribbon Chicks if you want to check us out (my daughter and I) OK I'm back since I rewatched your video ...... Girl get you a big plastic jug and put your pickles in it to make it look like a jar of pickles have one 1/2 in 1/2 out..... YES I think like a kid I sell kid items and I have 4 grandkids lol I think that would be SOOOoo adorable to display your pickles like that .... I know the mexican markets sell these super huge jugs that I THINK horchata is served in ?!?!?!??! not positive lol but I know they have a spout just remove it and turn it around lol
Awesome! I do think some of your stuff would still sell very easily at a higher price. I only say that cuas either also do markets and sell in a local shop in my area and would love to see you get more for your gorgeous work!Everything looked awesome and I am so happy you had a great market!!
That sigh at 10:08, its the feeling when you're so proud of yourself and you feel so giddy that you want to burst out in giggles. Amazing vlog i love it.
I can so relate to the heat as I live in East Texas, and we've had some really high temps so far this summer. I'm so glad you did so well at market - way to go!
Read my comment above about the Ryobi mister fan. I'm in Nevada and we just broke the record for the hottest day ever in NV then the next day broke that record and the 3rd day it was even hotter and set yet another new high record. (we are dying lol) But honestly the Ryobi mister fan I mentioned in my comment above is a life saver!!
Hii I’m Sophia I love your videos I have a crochet business too and u inspire me so much! But sadly I don’t have a lot of markets at my town so I don’t make much! I would love for tips for my crochet business and I started when I was 10 so any tips will help or crochet ideas!
Hi Sophia!! Thank you for the sweet words! I would open an etsy, that’s where I started! Also go to Instagram and start making those reels girly! That’s something I wish i did sooner!
Congrats, that's awesome that this market went so well for you! :) I was wondering where you got your little blackboards for your pricing, if you don't mind me asking? If you found them at a local store or something then no worries, just wondering if you got them online or something, as they're so cute and look really handy! Thanks!
What is the turtle pattern you guys use? Also congrats on your market! I just had my second market ever and it went so well! I sold out of almost out of everything! Now I gotta panic make a bunch of stuff for my next market!
