Hey man, I just wanted to mention that I like the editing in this video. It definitely looks like you are giving your RU-vid videos more attention! Great content!
Hi Eric, thank you so much for the video! Learned a lot and glad to know we experience similar challenges. I am working on a software for property management. And a lot of the times the struggle comes from the need to generate sales when the product itself is still immature. What kind of advice would you give for this specific problem?
What about if you are building something that already exists, perhaps with some variations, but you already know that people require that kind of solution? Is customer development thereby as critical? My challenge with customer development is that it requires that you have willing participants in the development effort who are going to be willing to sit and talk with you. In fact, I might be interested in hearing a video about how you would go about starting with zero followers and achieving customer development.
That's a great suggestion to make a video on. If your competition already has product market fit, then it might be the case that you need to understand the market even better than they do. Maybe there's a reason the competition hasn't gone this direction yet? The more understanding you have of your customer, the more likely you will be to deliver what they truly need/ want.
