Markets, Animals, and Diagnosing MCV Valves 

Please note: the Hytran and filter were replaced before testing the hydraulic system. I run Hytran from my local Case IH dealer in all tractors with torque amplifiers or hydrostatic transmissions.

Pete, I discovered your channel about a month ago. I retired from 41 years in the luxury hotel business and relocated across the state to a small agricultural town. I've been watching your channel 4 to 5 hours a day and it's infectious, in a good way. You have a good spirit, are a good host, and your shows are always very informative. I love the way you interact with your animals, know them by name, and how you call your pigs little monkeys or roaches. You just keep doing what you do, and I be sure to keep watching.

I like watching it all it's how farming is people that complain are foolish.

Billy is the sort of boar I like to find. He seems to be mellow, but cute. I'd like to meet him, but I have actually, through the camera. Smile Billy!😄🐖🐖🐽🐽

Even when I am days behind your videos, they ALWAYS bring a smile to my face. How you interact with the animals/doors/tractors are nice to see this day and age. The "dad" jokes are the best. FYI. at 3:22 there is someone watching over you as a Angel is seen at the top left of the screen, coming from right to left around the yellow extension cord hanging and the air filtration on the ceiling. It caught my eye and if you slow down the video you can really see it. Thank you for your family / videos / farm life that you share with us all. Love & Light.

Having a 1968 756 Gasser, there was pretty much no doubt in my mind that it was the original pump and kit. Mine was leaking pretty bad at that cover plate, and I figured if I was going to tear into it anyways, I would change it all out, and I'm glad I did.

Well considering I don't do either (animals or tractors) but you make both very interesting. I have learned so much about animals, markets, and tractors from you and your voices is very calming. I have even learned what some of the tools and what nots that were in my dads garage were used for after all these years I now know.

It must be the hardest part for farmers is raising livestock and knowing someday they are going to be gone. Or maybe that makes you enjoy them more while they are around. I don’t know. Thanks for sharing if memory serves me correctly that is a common issue with those I remember our 856 dad always said don’t use the ta cause it needed a pump replaced but it still works fine as long as it t/a doesn’t get used lol

It's always interesting to demystify the inward workings of such a complicated and efficient innovation of that period. It does give you a greater appreciation of the engineering that went into the design that revolutionized the whole tractor industry. Amazing that draftsmen, engineers and tool/die makers, pattern makers, iron workers and machinist did all that with pencils, paper, slide rules and a lot of sweat.

It's always fun to see you and Hilarie together, however briefly and mixed content videos are fine with me. It's farm life as it really is. Thanks, as always.

Great vid, as always. What occurred to me is how important it must be in your situation that these pieces of equipment be as functional/reliable as possible when their work-load is most required of them.

Been awhile , but I remember tearing into a few tractors with my dad . He was a hydraulic specialist & I learned all I know from him... So many old tractors were parked because they needed a minor repair ...

I like the tractor maintenance/rebuild vids, Pete. I've never been a farmer nor have I gone anywhere near a tractor, though I did grow a tomato plant once. But as I get up there in age I've found an interest in old school mechanical equipment. Anyway, more maintenance/rebuild vids for me please.

Way down the road and life goes on, the memories of The Tractor build and Hill off to the market will bring a nostalgic chuckle and smile on a old farmer's and wife's face.

Fun digging into all the systems and how they interact without having a wrench in hand. Best part of your day was having lunch on a cold day, looking at the testing results and determining next steps. Thanks for sharing
