It took me almost three years (just 2 weeks ago) to finally actually come to terms with the loss. I'd spent 3 years going through the first four stages of grief, never getting to the 5th. I'm still struggling, so, honestly my best advice is to ride these waves, and not to fight them or beat yourself up for any wipeouts that you get.

I’ve always had that thought too, I decided to try my best when I’m cutting something familiar to try tucking my fingers in a bit more each time for practice as it is a little safer to try that, but otherwise I’m fumbling around too much with tucking my fingers in and not holding 5e food steady when I’m slicing so slowly anyways that I’m more likely to get cut! I also have poor eyesight, to with the way I have to look down with my glasses makes me slower no matter how quick I want to be when chopping, she I’d rather go slow and hold the food steady than worry about the technically safer way

Also your hands perspirate no matter how much you wash them
