This was really the last episode? 🤨🤔 I know Rhyme and Reason was the last episode, but wasn't this scene part of a different episode? Nevermind I just looked it up. Wow 🥺
"Traumatic" yeah, it used to be get hit by your dad all your childhood with a belt. Or seeing your best friend fall on a grenade and picking pieces of him off you. Or getting shot and being the only member of your squad or family to survive. Now it's losing a friend lol
they lure you in such a innocent and bubbly world. like adventure time, Clarence, and so many others. then, after a while, they get mature and depressing. then, the ending. oh, boy. they'll make you cry. it'll bring back some memories.
It reminds me of Harry Potter, it started out all cheery and happy with smiles everywhere, but as the series progressed it became more and more depressing. The first thing that I think of when the mishaps and deaths start happening is in Chamber of Secrets, where Hermione gets petrified by the baskilsk and there’s a chance of her dying, which she doesn’t. The second mishap happens a year later in Prisoner of Azkaban, where before Hermione and Harry use the time turner to save Sirius, Buckbeak gets executed for injuring Draco Malfoy. The next one happens a year later once again in Goblet of Fire, where in the third and final Triwizard Tournament, Harry and Cedric meet Voldemort in the hedge maze, where Voldemorts assistant Wormtail or Peter Pettigrew uses the killing curse on Cedric. It just gets more and more and more depressing.
Well, this wasn't supposed to be the end of the show actually, it's just the animation company who worked on the show went bankrupt, they either changed plans so this episode went out to be the last one, or its a coincidence. You bet yo ass PBS would still have wanted more episodes.
Does anyone else remember the fact that this is actually him reacting to a fan made video of a bunch of his fans getting together to congratulate him on hitting a milestone and him realizing that he had grown to the point where he would never be able to have a real connection with all of his fans and it really broke him down for a while
It's a perfect allegory, Mark loses a personal connection with the people that helped get him to where he's currently at, while WordGirl loses a personal friend.
@@jrt2792 sure thats a great point but he wasnt reacting to it. Thats the thing that bothered me because im tired of people using the footage and saying "Markiplier reacting to (insert thing the poster thought was sad)". Its not cool. Find someone actually reacting to it or show yourself reacting to it as it was personal to you. Show YOUR emotions for the thing YOU love. Create your own following.
It's kinda poetic that the last episode of Word Girl, a show about learning words, is about the consequences of what is said, and how sometimes you can't take back what you've said, no matter what you do.
if this was real and markiplier watched this I actually have no doubt that he would have cried. He talks about not being able to have the connection with people he used to have, he's famous now. He talks about the fact that he will never get that back, so in a silly way, this could hit hard for him.
dude what, isn’t that the literal point of an undercover identity lmao. Also what’s with youtube commenters saying something “deep” and pretending it’s a quote

Reaction 2: Laughter [Wordgirl and her sidekick, Captain Huggy Face, engage in a hilarious battle with the villain] Markiplier: [laughs] Classic Wordgirl! The humor in this show is always on point. And Captain Huggy Face, what a hero! I mean, who wouldn't want a monkey sidekick, right? Reaction 3: Emotional Moments [Wordgirl faces a difficult challenge, showcasing her growth throughout the series] Markiplier: Man, Wordgirl has come such a long way. Seeing her face these tough moments really shows how much she's grown as a character. It's moments like these that make this show so special. Reaction 4: Nostalgia and Reflection [The episode features flashbacks to memorable moments from earlier seasons] Markiplier: Oh, they're bringing back all the nostalgia with these flashbacks! I remember all these moments like they were yesterday. It's crazy to think about how far this show has come and the impact it's had on its audience. Stay awesome, and I'll see you in the next video! [Markiplier waves goodbye and ends the video]
Think about it this sene her emotions took over and everything else left the picture, even words. Her words couldn’t save her this time and I assume that lexicons can’t deal with emotions as well because they use words to communicate instead of actions. This must have been very hard for Wordgirl.
Most heroes, sadly, don’t get to be happy, or rather, have happy endings. Without struggle, or pain, there is nothing to motivate them to become heroes. They cease to be, continue as heroes. But, heartbreak like this, is the kind of pain that, ironically, can create villains, or make heroes quit entirely. It’d be even more heartbreaking if Wordgirl had become a villain that silences people instead of creating words (to be clear, not killing, just removing people’s ability to speak at all).
This is what we early zoomers (and older in some cases) call the good crap. This, Electric Company, Between the Lions, Maya and Miguel, Martha Speaks, Dragon Tales, and Cyberchase were the OG kids show on PBS
This was not the finale episode.... This episode came in 2018ish and the show ended in the last few months of 2020 with a new supervillain being added in, a supervillain who likes cows and milk... Like Dr. 2 brains is with Cheese and rats... Sadly you can see the crew frantically trying to make content and new characters so it would not end, sadly that cow lady character was the last
@@erectilereptile7383 Definitely possible though. That has happened before. Example being the Don't Hug me I'm Scared writers working on an episode of Amazing World Of Gumball
I completely forgot about this show, but this ending just feels damn depressing. I watched a few episodes when I was younger, but I always enjoyed watching it. Such a sad ending for a pretty decent cartoon.
This show did not have to be as good as it was. Coming back to it, it's legitimately funny, has good writing, and it's understandable why there's a fandom for it. My mom said she loved watching the show with me when I was little
When you grew up wanting to be a superhero like WordGirl, but instead ended growing up to be like Chuck the evil sandwich making guy still living in his mom's basement😭
I remember growing up watching this show as a short in between Maya and Miguel. Had no idea it became its own show til I was older and my nephew was watching it. Also had no idea this show had this much depth to it
Bruh, what kind of world do we live in where you have to THINK about being friends with a superhero? Shit if my buddy turned out to be a caped crusader, you can bet imma remain ride or die until one of us does die on the ride
He has had a long term relationship for like 8 years or something now.. And he also has said he's bad at keeping personal friendships and connections cause he gets hyper fixated on his projects. So sorta I guess but more so cause he's a workaholic and won't slow down.
This was one of my favorite things to listen to in the car. when I was younger. I had a CD of word girl and everytime my Aunt drove me in her car I begged her to play it
You do know that there's more to this episode right it doesn't end there Aside from that yeah, that part was definitely sad and heartbreaking. I never thought I would see something like that on a little kid show like this. Whoever wrote this episode did a pretty good job.
i think the reason why these cartoons hit so hard is that they can build up appreciation and love for the characters through different themes of romance, horror, or drama. as opposed to a movie with a set drama or horror aspect that can only really develop through those themes. not all of course, but there's just a lot of power in those things
