Matthew is a legend. Saw this movie for the first time in 2014 and listening to this song ever since. Plays in my car, plays at my work place. Plays at gym. Can't get tired of it
Had 4 of those 80-89 square body's. I'm beginning to remember them all. 4 square Lincolns. Two 98 regency Olds and 1 of them like one of the square Lincolns was a two door. 2 delta 88 two door's. One square LeSabre. 4 square Caprice Classics. Couple of Mercury's. I've had a few. Dodge Royal Monaco two door, several GM G bodies all but one were 2 door. A whole bunch more. I slowed down in the last 20 years. Back then you could buy a car for 600 to a grand and I'd have a set limit in my mind how much I was willing to spend. About 20% more for maintenance. My labor. Then I'd drive it. Sometimes as much as a year and then resell it for 90% of what I had in it. Never less than 90%. So I was driving a year for pretty cheap.
Many of us were introduced to the underlying music track by Gang Starr--Check the Technique. (RIP Guru). I wonder if his line "Code of the Streets" (another Gang Starr song) is a shout out
