Never stopped in Marmaris, but did go there quite a few times on a bike from Icmeler. Feels like the Turkey version of Blackpool to me and had a poor meal/service the one night we went there (those Dolmus drivers are crazy!) Now Icmeler I do love!
It used to be so much cheaper out there Kev 👍 but even with price increases, it’s still so super affordable ❤ you’re making me wanna book again for next year now….off to Tenerife 2 weeks tomorrow 😃
Been here roughly about 8 times and going next year too. Yip it’s definitely more expensive but it’s worth it. Love Marmaris. Bar street is brilliant for the younger ones and the bazar is something else lol. There’s an inside market which is worth a visit. There’s so much to do in Marmaris. If you love your Indian food you must try The Taj Mahal the food is the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s always packed so go book a table for outside you won’t be disappointed
Turkey is the best destination. Once youve been youll keep goimg back. Same for Marmaris. 1st time this year and cant wait to go back. Been going for 20 years. Do a video around the old town. Around Armatulan. On the beach front, marina youre doing. So much to see and do. Theres a lot of ripping off with the ice cream guys so you must akways ask the prices before you buy.
I think im the only one who thinks this looks awful, me and ny girlfriend were looking to book a week away here, I usually go to Greece as im half greek so maybe biased 😂 but the difference is night and day. Im used to going to 'authentic' places and this just looks like turkeys version of blackpool to me, full of brits and our influence. Each to their own and thanks for the videos as they help people make a decision!
You aren't the only one because I was thinking along the same lines. I was wondering about booking my holiday here and I'm so glad that I watched this video. I would have been gutted if I got off the plane and knew I was going to be stuck here for a week.
I was never tempted to try Turkey, don't know why, cos its Turkey?! I may give it a try next year although I still think Tenerife and Spain are the best value for money. Great video as usual Kev, you need your own UK TV travel show!
Hi Kev, Like others have suggested, get yourself over to Lindos, you’ll love it. There’s plenty for you to film - the winding village streets, the acropolis, the Ice Bar etc. If you’re in Rhodes town make sure you check out both the Old Town and the New Town. If you’re looking for somewhere to just chill out / make a video if you get the chance, head on over to the Pegasus Restaurant in Lalyssos (short taxi ride from the taxi rank in Rhodes town). Turkish prices are absolutely outrageous these days, with food items over 1000% up (I'm talking up to 1600%). You think the prices are good, but maybe because you've never been there before. There's an enormous difference. It used to be a genuine bargain destination. Nothing will change with Erdogan at the helm.

Turkey and Marmaris is much more cheaper compared to Greece. İnflation rate 50 percent but only for turkish citizens. With english pound it is the most affordable country in the mediterrean area.
Its been 20 years since i went to Marmaris, shame as i really enjoyed it and would like to go back watching these videos. The drinks are cheap but the food seems but the food isnt getting more expensive. I had some really nice meals when i went, there used to be a mexican near the Marina and a 'Coronation street' bar which had nice meals too. Do they still give Turkish bread before meals?
The ezgi bar used to be owned by two brothers from Glasgow, but a you tube vlogger stole the first two letters g and L hence the name lol 😅 toots granton Edinburgh 👍🏴🍺🥃
hope you enjoy rhodes ive neen 10 times one thing to say avoid faliraki rhodes town and lindos are amazing pefkos is good too.rhodes can be very expensive though so shop around on drinks.
