Engaged couple Sophie (she/her) and Tiana (she/her) discuss their relationship as not only a LGBTQ+ couple but also a couple who spent time in a long-distance relationship: 8,325 miles away from each other, to be exact. The two are finally living together in the same city and ready to get married.

Unfortunately, this can be an Irish cultural thing. We are still very much prudish when it comes to expressing things like this. When I first started dating men from outside of Ireland, that's when I realised Irish men (and women) can be so stiff and rigid when it comes to being sexy and complimenting each other in that way. We still are in the Catholic moralistic prison within ourselves when it comes to expressing sexuality, even as heterosexuals. But hopefully we'll get there soon, and find a way to express ourselves naturally with our significant others'.

This makes me so overjoyed. My girlfriend and I have a similar connection with similar struggles and it is just so refreshing to see ourselves in someone/something online and in video. To see the depth of the safety we also feel with each other expressed in this way is beyond measure. One of the best thing about this kind of documentation is whenever theyre having some rough patches in the future like everyone else did, they’ll always have this vids to look at and watch how they both look at each other, how their voices quivers and how it is so apparent that they both emanating their love towards each other. I long for this kind of relationship myself but i know it is hard to do so in this oppressive country so until then, i’ll make do with being single. And watch this kind of heartwarming vids on youtube instead :)

It's crazy how you actually have this saying "Everyone finds you beautiful once you find yourself beautiful" and it's true. If I only had a frozen picture of the two of them, I'd say WOW, 2 stunning women. But in this video everyone noticed how beautiful Tiana is because she is in peace with herself, loves herself and thinks she is "sexy" and she eradiates that to 100%. I wish Sophie that so much! She is such a beautiful, strong woman. I hope that one day she will realise that herself. So good to see both of them in such a loving, supporting enviroment.
