Never in my life have I been interested in car fans, because in my opinion, they have always been the same shape and too small.
Until recently I became curious about these car fans. After paying attention, these old school looking fans are actually interesting. In fact, I just found out that they not only come in 6" size, but there are also 8" and even 10" sizes.
Thanks to my curiosity and the price was relatively cheap, I ordered the fan in size 10”.
When it first arrived, the plastic of the grille bolt port was in a broken state, and the grill was half separated from the fan body, which was probably caused by negligence on the part of the expedition. Luckily I was able to save it and put it back together.
Even though its appearance is quite fierce like an old school fan from the 80s, this fan is made of really light material and is not that sturdy, possibly for ease of operation. It came with only 1 speed and was also equipped with a car fan's signature oscillation knob. Because this fan is intended for cars/trucks/tractors, this fan uses a car lighter plug type plug and here I use the adapter to operate it.
After trying and observing this fan directly, I was quite impressed with the performance and appearance of this fan. The exhaled wind is very strong and even, and the oscillations can also be said to be slow for a fan with a fast RPM. This fan motor uses a DC motor which, when operated, consumes 13 Watts of power. One of the interesting features of this fan is that it is also equipped with 360° ways oscillation (idk how to call it haha).
But one thing that worries me is that the motor tends to get hot when operated above 10 minutes, I don't know if this is normal or not, but it doesn't seem to hold up to long-term use. Also, the sound is quite noisy and its performance is said to be overpowered.
However, I am still amazed at how this cheap fan works and remains faithful to bringing old school elements from the past. I found that this fan is very flexible, where we can place and operate this fan in all areas and customize it according to our needs. This is also an interesting finding at the start of this new year, and makes me want to explore more about car fans that have been sold in the world!
