@@etienne8110 Multiple alien factions would be great even when play as Humans if they were randomly selected, wouldn't always know what type of Alien you were up against.
Bundesnachrichtendienst is basically the german secret service. I just love how you can take control over stuff like the CIA or GSG9 in this game. Hell they even have the Jagdkommando from Austria, which I did NOT expect to see in ANY game ever.
I love how this game has actually competent AI. CIV 6 deity is hard because the AI has such a huge advantage over you early-game, but this feels like you're actually trying to outmaneuver smart and competent opponents.
Its not as bad as it looks at first I think. Been playing a good 10 hours now, havent touched spaceship-building yet, but the parts on earth are well covered by the tutorial for such a complex game at least. Give it a try if youre interested for sure!
You could say that this stance of yours is a bit... Paradox. It's how I feel about every single Paradox game - they look amazing, but require so much effort to learn, that I don't see it happening as an adult with a job and 20 other games I want to play.
@@DrZaius3141 if you do get a paradox game Sterllaris and CK2 are the easiest to learn i feel CK3 added a lot of control to feature that CK2 did automatically EU4 is complex in some areas but simple in others HOI4 is... a logistical mess to wrap you head around VIC2 is.... VIC2 (having played all of them for at least 50 hours each, its the one i just don't understand at all)
@@theirishviking9278 Oh I've played them. HoI might be the worst of all because you (read: I) spend so much on the build-up, only to figure out that no, I can't do warfare, so all that time spent was a waste. CK2 was at least playable, I might even say that I had success in that. But while I am usually knowledgable in game that makes me into one of those annoying asshats that correct YT guide videos in the comment section, I don't feel I have an fraction of the knowledge required to properly play them. Stellaris is a mixed bag, because I like the build-up again, but I remember a game where I wanted to go full on diplomacy, but all the AIs were completely xenophobic, so there were not alliances to be had. Still, I love them all in concept, maybe some day after I retire...
This game is something special. The complexity just seems massive, but somehow watching this playthrough makes it seem comprehensible. Looking forward to more content!
Yours and Perun's series are by far the best Terra Invicta introductions found on youtube and easily the most entertaining. I've already got and played the early access version a little, but these series are making it far easier for me to understand and start enjoying playing the game itself, instead of being confused and annoyed trying to figure out how to competently play and what to do.
I've been following Perun for months now for his military economics content, and while I knew he did games content I hadn't been watching it, but I had to check it out when I saw Terra Invicta. His and Potatoes Terra Invicta content have been some of my most anticipated watches this week. Small RU-vid world huh? I especially enjoy watching their different approaches. Some of it is obviously the different factions, but it also seems like a cool juxtaposition of their different personalities.
Real talk: The last like two days I've been refreshing RU-vid multiple times a day because this content is so engaging. This is giving me Humankind vibes in that you're less 'playing a game' and more you're 'telling a story through a game' that is believable and relatable. Please release more episodes; this has been such a fascinating series to follow. :)
Binged all of your episodes to this point, then binged Perun's series to this point, then saw you had a release! I would be more than happy to see multiple episodes per day, but don't burn yourself out please
So a little bit of advice. 1. Remember never ever let terraforming get out of hand anyway. It takes the United States entire army to deal with one of the coaches. 2. Solar panels are more effective the closer you get to the Sun. 3. Having ships move between planets takes a very long time so build individual fleets for individual planets and their moons. 4. Water all of it you need all of it. 5. Try and unite the entirety of the EU, as quickly as possible it’s far more efficient than controlling individual countries. 5.1 don’t use spoils unless you want to destroy the entirety of the country. Ruins the environment the stability and contrary to what the Game tells you makes it easier to be kicked out. 6. Science is great money and later on operations are better. 7. The closer to the centre of the system a planet is the safer it’s going to be. Generally by the mid-late game the asteroid belt becomes a war zone. I hope this is helpful sorry for the bad spelling Polish is my first language. I know not everybody likes backseat gaming but I just thought giving you some suggestions would be helpful.
Don’t usually comment but this series is by far my favourite. The game is super complex and yet you have described it so well it makes me wanna play! Thanks potato!
Easy Diplomatic Overview When you select a country there is a button between "Overview" and "Military", when you pass the mause over it shows the diplomatic options for the country
potato is a 4x artist. Everyone can "paint" but few can do it like you. Beyond interested in this game and series, going to have to pick it up and give it a whirl
Hey Potato, have to say you got me hooked on this serie. I'm also happy if there is only 1 video per day and it gives you a long tail of videos that can drive new people to your channel over time. Don't rush if you think it's not worth it on your end just to please some of us :) ! Take care earthling !!
This stuff has been awesome. Such a great GREAT niche for this game to fill. Looking forward to this series that I haven’t felt for others in months. Keep it up. Always a fan of your content, but this is particularly fun
Really enjoying this! I might have to pick it up for myself, but your running commentary is a significant component to my enjoyment. Looking forward to more!
I literally love this terra invicta series, u got me to get the game for myself. i went to rewatch the first episode and i went back to your channel and the next episode (this episode) went out. loving this series
Definitely release more Terra Invicta if you’re able to. It’s one of the coolest games I’ve seen in a long time, and I appreciate both the mechanics and the feel of it. I’ll definitely be playing it myself before too long but I’ve very much enjoyed watching you play and getting to learn a bit about it before diving into something so complicated.
I'm having so much fun watching this playthrough! You're commentary and explanation of your plans are so interesting and entertaining to listen to, and I'm always eagerly awaiting for more.
honestly this game is really interesting and your commentary is quite entertaining, i didn't know you before looking up videos of this game but i'll be sure to keep watching you! keep up the good work
Loving this series! Learning a lot from it, and its great to see you enjoying yourself. Personally im good with the one upload per day, id fall behind!
This is the first series in a long time that I've regularly watched as soon as I can! Keep them coming, I'll watch all the terra invicta I can right now!
This series inspired me to go ahead and try the game for myself. Without Potato's guidance I'd be totally lost, but this series has helped tremendously. Thank you, Potato!
You’re actually the channel that got me interested in Terra invicta although I unfortunately don’t have the money to get it, I am extremely enjoying watching you playthrough the game
This is a beautiful game. It reminds me of a bond-style shadow government with corporations controlling the government behind the scenes. Overall amazingly streamlined, detailed, but not overwhelming gameplay. Great content and commentary Potato! I love this stuff.
Bruh I was literally just saying, “ya know it’d be nice to have more of these videos per day” and here were are! Love this content, idk if it’s the game or how you present it but its so engaging and fun to watch.🎉🎉
Really appreciate you putting to words an otherwise overwhelmingly complicated game. It looks very fun. Can't wait to see how the tale of Giga-Europe ends!
Seamas: *managing fifteen diferent scientific and philanthropic organizations at the same time all while advising the EU* Me: *can barely keep on top of his own personal email for more than two days at a time*
I absolutely LOVE this series. I only just found out Terra Invicta is _still in early access_ and it blew my mind. It's such an in-depth game but the way you commentate and break it all down makes it really accessible to me and I just get sucked in.
I am definitely excited to see more of this game. I would love to see a play through with each fraction at least! It seems like there is a lot of room for optimization as well, I am curious how the Meta will develop.
I’m all for more than one video a day, if they stay longer and YOU are excited to do so. Please don’t burn yourself out or sacrifice your plans for the series just to get them out faster. I want to know I’m watching The Potato, not just some random couch potato playing a game.
I would like to see you go different strats (countries) with different factions. An America (+ Canada), Russia (+ Whatever you can get from war), China, India, or other coalition game would be cool.
Yeah this is a adhd et dream. Your speech is right on the far edge of just being understandable at 2x speed. You repeat points often that makes it easy to keep up with what you're doing and allows the watcher to stay invested. Overall.... I will never play this game and have no desire to, but I enjoy watching you explain it and go at it.
i'm loving this series, as it helps new players feel less intimidated by the game, as the sheer amount of stuff is just as overwhelming as it is amazing i'd love to see you play as each of the factions at least once
Loving the series, potato!! Such an intriguing and extremely complex game!

I like that you dive deep into different games and take us with you on your learning journey. Always super entertaining in your own special way! I wish I had a PC so I could try this game 🙂
I watched 10 minutes of the first video and realized this game is for me. So far it is (20 hours and neglecting my job) but I'd be so lost without these videos. Keep it up 🥔🥃!
Oh my God yes please I love this series I literally started jumping with joy whenever I realized You made another video today I know you can't see it but I'm doing a happy dance
I'm new to the channel because of this game, I've seen you on the Yogscast Armchair Admirals but that's about it. I was interested in watching some gameplay for Terra Invicta and your name came up as one I knew, so here I am! You have a great way of explaining such a complex game, I've really appreciated it.
the game is great, but really I just enjoy your well explained and calming but entertaining commentary. Weirdly sincere comment I know, but you're doing an amazing job man, well done!
First time I'm watching such long videos till the end. But your videos are super entertaining and your explanations helping me with my own game a lot. Keep on the good work :-)
