I walked and hiked all those streets in the late 1980s. I was down there writing a spy novel and also volunteering to help save the Bahama Parrot. This video makes me want to cry.
Such horrendous devastation. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to stay there until everything is totally bulldozed away. Then rebuild 🏡, restaurants, 🛍stores, 🏥, etc, replant quick growing shrubs, 🌴🌳 and🌻🌸to brighten one’s outlook during many years of regrowth. Please keep updated videos available so that we might 👀 how the islands rebound.
Its our home. You dont walk away from ten generations...I came back week 8. Fixed a dozen roofs so far. If no one came back the Chinese would have swooped in
