Marshall’s was always a.favourite of mine in my agricultural college days. It’s on my bucket list to one day own one Nice to see one still working the land. Thanks for sharing
Wow, an Opico square plough! I was one of the few farmers who actually bought one of these things. What a mess it made - turning the land up in huge lumps. The nylon ( or whatever they were) mouldboards wore through in the first 50 acres and we replaced them with steel ones. I never got it to do a decent job and quickly went back to a Kverneland.
Our local Renault tractor dealer sold square ploughs too. We were also on heavy land and when I questioned the rep about one he said "Well I am not even going to try and sell you a square plough on your land." Just as an aside, they also sold a few Marshall tractors. We had already bought a Renault (A brilliant little tractor) and when I mentioned that they had also taken on The Marshall franchise he said "take it from me, stick to Renaults!"😉
This is my boyfriend driving this tractor at working weekend back In 2017 it is his ex bosses tractor he all I know is that he loves and misses driving this tractor
Leyland 6/98 naturally aspirated ( no turbo ) mate , basically the same engine that leyland truck & bus , tractor division used in the 2100 tractors , I believe the bigger , just more powerful 125 hp version was the same engine with a turbo on & fuel pump reset . The sound they made is music to a tractor driver,s ears , these old Leyland engines just sing away . great pity the factory got thatchered .
