Awesome little amp, recieved mine today and i'm quite impressed with how it fulfills what i expected and wanted. It is just loud enough to come thru if the room allows it and ofcourse bandmates have matured upoin the ''IT GOTTA BE LOUD'' mentality. As a sound engineer mainly for live, this is a dream come true, every guitarist who says ''it got to be cranked'' should get one of these or something equilvant, it allows you to crank the shit out of it while not raping the ears of everyone in a radius of 10 meters. I look forward to see what everyone i work with think of it. In advice, a 1x12 cab with a Jensen C12Q is something i absolutely recommend paired with the DSL1.
@@BlackBridgeSound Not for classic rock no, a TS pushing a Marshall does multiple classic rock tones and the dsl can do those classic Marshal tones. For more high gain stuff though YES! RAT all the way it's a very versatile dirty boost and overdrive to almost fuzz, it can push a DSL as far a Doom territory. For low to medium gain blues to rock the TS or an SD are ofcourse king with a Marshall. Different tools for different jobs really (although some metal guys use a tube screamer it's more for cleaner to medium gain interludes and segments, it's not balls to the wall like a RAT or Muff).
@Black Bridge Sound Some people also use a tube screamer just as a boost. RAT excels at high gain distortion bordering on fuzz territory. TS808 and TS9 are boosts to that nasal bluesy classic low to at most medium overdrive.
Great demo guys 👍. I have the same Marshall amp head running into a blackstar ht 1x12 16 0hm mk2 venue cabinet, and it sounds great. You get that great Marshall overdriven sound without pissing off the neighbours.
Those 50th versions are hard to come by up here, I’ve been on the hunt for a jvm1 for a while and only seen one come up for sale and it was almost as much as the jvm410 I was also looking at so I got the 410 instead 😅
Yeah it sounded great in the room with that Lewitt mic! We have tried it through a 4x12 actually! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Mquw97zYMQ.html
For like 500$ or whatever this rig costs now with inflation it’s not terrible, it’ll get you kinda in the ball park. The cab is definitely the downfall though that little dsl head sounds great with a great cab.
@@BlackBridgeSound I put in a vintage 30. Before that, I sprayed the inside of the cab with bedliner spray because the mdf board doesn't really resonate too well. It's pretty sick now!!
Not bad considering it's probably one of the worst, brightest sounding cab's for it. Ice pick heaven really. This amp sounds fantastic with anything BUT that cab. Then you go and mic it with a sm57 😂 Jesus. Stick to your amazing crate imports.
