For me the pairing feature in the Emberton II is the only thing that could tear me away from my beloved Emberton. And I'd like to try the different equalizer presets. The II actually sounded a tad clearer to me.
I have known about the Marshall brand for a few years. And then a few months ago I noticed the Emberton. The 1st Gen Emberton is on a Black Friday Sale at Best Buy for $100. So then I watched a few reviews over the last couple days, and it looks like both the Emberton & Emberton 2 get great reviews and they both compete with the best in this category. I was looking for a review that discussed the difference between the 1st and 2nd Emberton, and you went into all the details! Thank you! I have subscribed and will definitely watch more of your reviews, which are very thorough and cover details which many others miss.
Really enjoying your Marshall reviews. 🙂Marshall products generally have a really classy look and design that I'm attracted to. 😍 It's nice that they're offering app support with their new releases as well even if it's fairly basic. The increased durability rating and other incremental updates also add value to make this a solid choice for a travel friendly bluetooth speaker. Thanks for another great review! 👍
That sound is so close. I think it's been harder recently for some companies to find quality parts to upgrade existing products. I see some value to the new speaker but not based on sound quality. Would be interested to know if the power ratings have improved or not. Overall not a game changer.
I bought an Emberton II for my campervan, so I had a decent speaker while out and about on the road. It sounds so great, it now sits on my desk and I use it everyday when I work from home.
Hi and thanks for this really helpful video. I agree with you : Emberton II sounds definitely clearer. The highs are boosted and I think it's a really nice thing. Too bad they didn't updated the bass, wich was not that good on the original Emberton...anyway, it's a great speaker (1 and 2) because the "True Stereophonics" system gives a very nice sound dispersion. Front side plays left channel and back side plays right channel, so, the music is definitely more open and detailed than a mono speaker. I had Bose Soundlink Flex and I sold it for the Emberton 1 a few months ago because of the mono sound vs true sterophonics sound from Marshall. If you listen to Rock, Metal, Electro, Acoustic music, then the Emberton is a great choice ! I'll go for the Emberton 2 anyway. Thanks again for your quality channel I just discovered today.
Sound different. 1 sounds neutral which I like but lacks separation of the instruments, kind of confusion sound. The 2 has clearly more separation of the instruments but lacks some neutrality. 2 sounds more like live performance. In the end I'm going for 2 and try to equalize to my taste. Addionaly more battery and can pair it with others. Good job marshall.
It is very subtle. The first song, I certainly noticed a diff, I liked the emberton 2. The 2nd and 3rd song was the same and the last single I noticed the 2 normally has a slightly louder treble and voice and the 1 had lower bases even for the treble and voice. Funny I like the 1 for the last song but I liked the 2 for sure for the first song
Bought emberton 2. Anyone having battery issues? After full charge falls 20% after 1 minute full volume. I have already replaced one and I don’t know if it’s mine faulty. Also latest update
