I bought this amp a week ago. I think it was the first one with mastervolume (please comment if not). I used the Solodallas Tower EX, King of tone and the Klon Centaur while playing. Next stop is my amp tech Robert for a full service.

Mine was too furry, had to remove the bright cap on the volume, and adjust the values on the RC circuit at input. It was puffy in the lows until I adjusted it. No good thick crunch, but it had unbeatable butter sustain. Truly unbeatable.

I had a 50-watt JMP back in the day that I loved. I pushed it with an old delay (pre-amp). I remember not liking the 800s when they came out as did most of my buddies

@@Biblrocks Steve was with Marshall R&D... Steve also designed the DSL 100 in 1995 to compete with the Mesa Dual Rectifier. Grindrod later started Albion Amplifiers.
