this amp is the top of the food chain an outstanding achievment in the ultimate amp a guitarist could ever hope to own. There are at least 3 amp makers that can make that claim, marshall is one of them. This JVM410JS is beyond badass! Well done!

Noise gates are essential for high gain, glad to see they are being utillizied.

Thanks fore the demo, Nick. Having a really tough time trying to demo one here in the states, even almost 5 years out! Guitar Center never has one in stock. They have a used one for sale 1/2 way across the country. Id really like to see what the higher gain sounds sound like at lower master volume levels. On demo, the amp sounds fantastic.

I see a lavalier mic wire on Nick. I don't see a mic on the cab. I'd have to say that these sounds are direct. Pretty good sound for direct. I prefer mics though. Nice sounding amp. Other video presentations have warmer settings on this amp.

It's likely the 1960A cab. They usually come with all JVMs, etc.

I've got a regular jvm410h and it doesn't really sound anything like this... The crunch channel modes sound nowhere near as saturated, they really are lower gain sounding like old marshall amps. Most of the modes on all the channels sounded really similar on here for some reason. It really does make a difference what mode your on in person and most of them sound really good to me. I don't care what haters of this say, it's a great, versatile amp. But to be fair it still doesn't have enough gain for my metal tone I like just a bit more than what this offers and the noise gate seems like a great addition cuz the original does get pretty noisy when gained to hell hahaha

2 clean channels (dirty clean and clean clean) with spring reverb, and the two dirty channels and this amp would be perfect.

I just heard this amp up close and personal, with Joe Satriani, and it sounded nothing like this demo. It just goes to show, its the Indian, not the arrow.

The JSX sounds a lot more like Joe, not that this is a bad amp, but it's either not dialed in right or just not even close to his sound. inb4 "it's a demo of the amp, not of it's capabilities to replicate his tone" It's a sig amp, if it can't match his tone or at least get close then it's a failure.

I'm sure the a fine amp but this video is not that compelling enough to swap out my JVM410H

I just watched the Chappers/Captain review of this head as well. It sounded a bit better on their demo, but not much. I love Joe, but this amp sounds pretty awful to me. For $2,600 I would expect a lot more of a refined tone than what I'm hearing on these demos. I hope it's just RU-vid and/or bad mic placement on the demos. Yikes!

So if OD1 and OD2 are identical to each other, and OD1/OD2 are the same as Crunch-Red, which already has plenty of gain....redundant as hell, and just asking to fail/need repairs bc of over-complexity. But wait, you say, you can set each one up they you want, but differently...Really?...doesn't it have a MIDI controller...which you can use to store and activate presets? Like maybe, Oh, I don't know....like maybe, different presets for Crunch-Red? Anybody who uses more gain than the Crunch-Red setting already has, probably doesn't use slightly nuanced versions of "11" gain....they will find one 'perfect' God-Gain setting and leave it there..... or probably uses a distortion pedal. I think they would have been better off setting up the channels with different voicings (ie, different internal cap values) for Green/Yellow/Red instead of increasing gain ranges, and used the 4 channels for increasing gain ranges, like Ch 1 is glassy super clean, and Ch4 is Uber-Gain, and each with 3 different voicings, like I described above, and put an individual Resonance and Presence on each channel. YOu can't use the same Resonance and Presence that you use on cleans that you use on hi-gain settings, bc you either end up with thinner cleans, or fizzy/flubby hi-gains....only one master Resonance and Presence means compromise across the board. :( BTW, ...anybody want to place a bet on how long before there's a 5-channel Amp on the market, like the blade wars between Gillete Mach 3 and Schick Quattro?

What the hell??! His guitar sounds awful and he should have tuned up his guitar, especially the G string. Well, his guitar playing skills are also questionable, to be honest, He is brave enough to play in front of the camera. Its a shame, I would have never bought the JVM 410 HJS if I had watched this video first.
