A short demonstration of the Marshall JVM410HJS and a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a little jam at the end.
Marshall Sound Test: y2u.be/lOJ_XIMaY9Q
Backingtrack: y2u.be/CuzPhd6nV10
For some delay and reverb I used a Boss GT-100.

Les Paul Plus Marshall JVM410 is the ultimate combo. Amps Versatility alone, no effects is a great compromise of versatility( 12 mode amp) and minimalism(no added effects). Just plug and play. It's the simple things

Jens Ambrosch nice Brother..Ive been playing for 45 years bit only 7 years right handed.switched over after bad wreck crushed my right knuckles..lol..but it was very difficult for me. I always played left handed but on a right handed guitar strung right handed.was just a child when I started and no lessons or help from anyone.thought i was playing the right way because of a picture of Jimmy Hendricks.lol.any way your an awesome gutarist and im proud to be a friend of yours.

Hi, I would like to know if you're using a pedal effect or something else to make this kind of noise ? Because I find difficulties to reproduce a "rock" sound like this.. Thanks :) Very good by the way !
@JensAmbrosch
@JensAmbrosch 7 лет назад
Hi, thanks! I don't use any effects except reverb and delay in this video. It's just the amp and guitar for the main sound. Go check out my Marshall Sound Test video. There you see some settings I use for this amp! :)

Check the bias on your amp. Marshall usually bias' the amps too cold. This amp rocks when biased properly.

Hi. It's great. What were your settings on the amp? Did you record it with a cab or via the line output? If it was a cab, was it a Marshall? Once again it sounds great Marc (from France)
@JensAmbrosch
@JensAmbrosch 7 лет назад
Hi, thanks!! I actually can't tell you the exact settings because I don't have the amp with me right now. But I try my best. The amp was on the OD2 channel in orange mode. Volume around 6, Bass around 6, Mids around 4, Treble around 5 and Gain at 6. Master Volume was at 5. I recorded it with a Marshall 4x12 1960AV and a Sennheiser E906 placed between the centre and the edge of the speaker. Also I added the Boss GT-100 for some reverb and delay. That's it I guess! :) Thanks again :)

Great sound. Great playing. Proof once again that there is nothing in music as cool as a Les Paul and a Marshall. I have a 91 Gibson LP Standard and the JVM410HJS too. You captured the sound really well. I read those settings. That is pretty damn loud for in the house! I can hear that the power tubes are working. I don't hear any windows rattling in the recording though! You're not wearing headphones, so how did you record? Are your monitors playing back that loud? Are you using an iso booth for the cab? What pickups are in the 2008 LP? And one more question if you don't mind .... what setting are you using on the E906? Thanks!
@JensAmbrosch
@JensAmbrosch 7 лет назад
Thanks! Haha, yep...no window rattling. Actually it is not that loud because I lower the output of my Boss GT-100. It is in the loop of the amp. So I could turn the amp up all the way and still be quite if I turn down the Boss. It is loud, but just enough that the cab works properly. Also I'm wearing In-Ears...they're just coverd under my hair. In addition I have something like the Bonamassa amp shield in front of my cab. So it blocks a lot of the sound. Otherwise my neighbour would kill me I think :D So no monitors and no iso cab. The Pickups are the stock Burstbucker Pros. I think the E906 was on the flat setting. No problem! If you have more questions let me know :)

Are you using the serial loop? When I was using a TC Electronic D TWO rack unit for delays I had that in the serial loop. Sounded great. I added a TC Electronic G Force in the other loop and that covers a lot more ground, but I liked the D TWO delays a little better, especially the 2290 settings. The G Force creates a hum in the serial loop. I contacted Marshall and they said I should use that unit in the other loop. That worked! Sounds more open too. Still experimenting with the best ways to use the options available on the amp and the G Force. The G Force requires time to get your effects balanced, but it's a cool unit (with a tuner). It is designed to be used just before the power amp. I used to use it between a JMP1 and 9200 power amp. Love my JVM410HJS and Les Paul though. I actually just bought another LP today. It's a great day! I use a shield in the house too: Several Luann doors hinged around the cab with carpet squares on them and plexiglass across the front. Still recording. I think I need to try a e906 after hearing this video though! Great Jam. Great sound. I put it on when I am online just to get the adrenaline going.
@JensAmbrosch
@JensAmbrosch 7 лет назад
Yes, I'm using the serial loop. Yeah..it's a never ending story because there are so many possibilities! I use my Boss with the 4 cable method. So it's actually in the loop and in the front. What's cool about the Boss is that you can change the order of your effects. So I could say I want a delay in front or in the loop without changing any cables. Also with reverb and modulations there are endless opportunities. If you buy a guitar it's always a great day :) The E906 is really cool. It has a natural sound to it. I think it doesn't affect the sound too much. Thanks again! That's awesome! Have fun with your LP!! :)

Only the gain of the amp! The Boss just gave me delay and reverb in this clip!

That's the answer I was expecting. Great sounding amp. Lots of delays back when they were first coming out. I ordered and waited for months. I finally emailed Marshall and maybe by coincidence mine finally showed up about 2 weeks later. Life is good.
