I’d like to request you to review Howard Johnson’s, Clarion Point and the Glenstone Lodge in Gatlinburg sometime. Your reviews are on point and I appreciate you and them so much. I stay wherever you recommend. Thank you in advance. 😊
Thank you Bob, for doing a lengthy review here. I now know what the rooms look like size wise and how long the walk is to the Parkway. I do stay mostly at chain hotels, but we’ve decided to stay at a mom and pop hotel next visit and I will show this video to my Husband. Again, thank you.
Thanks I’ve never seen this place but will consider it. I just heard that LeConte View Motor Lodge was sold and will be completely redone. I’m curious about that,
Really enjoyed your video! If I'd only win the lottery I could come to Gatlinburg and stay there! Love the wood paneling and brings back memories of the wood paneling we had in our house.
Great budget option Bob! It's always good to have options for cheaper hotels in the area, because some "budget" hotels in Gatlinburg are super scary...LOL. Great review! ✌
We have been there many, many times. We like the prices, quaint atmosphere (before the remodel), & short walk to town. This motel is vintage Gatlinburg (at least before the owner change).
Kelly and I may try this place this coming summer. We’re getting fed up with $400+/night rooms down there. And the older I get, the less fluff (amenities, etc) I need. As long as it’s clean, which this place looks to be. Thanks for the review!
We visited Gatlinburg, for the first time, last Halloween, and stayed at Marshall Creek. We were very satisfied. We actually stayed in the room next door, to the one you stayed in, number 20, which a family room. It has two rooms and the bathroom in between. The main room has two queen size beds and the other room had one. My husband and I stayed in the back room and my mom, daughter, and two granddaughters, 3 yrs and 4 yrs old, stayed in the front room. The week we were there, they’d had a delivery of new window units and they were replacing them all. I can say the seating furniture with the bears on it, was not there at the time. It’s definitely new. We paid $128. a night, with a total of $432. for three nights, which I considered fantastic for a family of six, so close to the main road. Close, but yet tucked away in the quiet. One time when we were walking past the creek, toward the Village, there was a mama bear and her three cubs that came off that mountainside near the roadway. We never thought we’d see any bears right outside our motel, let alone four of them. Our only complaint about the stay was the bathroom door. It was one of those sliding barn doors, with no lock. So we leaned a suitcase against the wall, in the hall, so the grand daughters couldn’t open it up while someone was in there showering or using the potty. We would just tell someone to come move the suitcase when we were done. We’d definitely stay there again. Was happy to see your review of it. 😊
What a nice looking place! Yes. You are correct about budget hotels/motels. They generally do not update. Would love to check this out. Thank you for your review
We walk by here every morning when we are here. Never stayed at this place, but we had considered it a few times. This walk is all too familiar to us. Thanks for making me feel like I'm here again. Looking forward to our April trip!
Gotta say nope to this hotel. I usually stay at the chalet, however on New Years Eve, we found a great budget friendly hotel called the Gatlinburg Mountain Inn. Staff was great and a good place to "rest our heads" Within walking distance to everything. Had a great experience. Check it out for your channel please.
What was the "nope" on this hotel? Just the price? I think this one definitely has a better location for those who want to be right in the action of downtown.
As always, a fantastic review my friend. That place looks very peaceful, and so close to all the action. Thank you for your hard work in bringing these reviews to us. I will have to check out that parking lot. see you soon brother.
