I bought the Willen today and it’s an amazing little powerhouse, it’s easily the best small speaker I’ve ever bought or heard for that matter and I’ve had many from JBL to Bose and others, it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for, to have this much thump in a speaker you can put in your pocket is unreal. Go Marshall
Marshall is the Marshall. I am not gonna buy the speakers which has usb micro port and looks 20 years old design. Marshall is like a art design and really awesome sound quality.
Its also $120 compared to tribit at $50, marshal is definitely the best looking, and it will get some ouuuuu’s and Ahhhhh’s but after that, it’s overpriced
I have the StormBox Micro and I have to say that it’s a really good speaker. It produces really good sound, especially when you consider its small package. The only issue I have with the SBM is the battery life. I was lucky if I got 4 hours out of that puppy. That’s why I decided to upgrade and get the second version. Not only do you get way more battery from V2 but it’s also a smidge louder. I do a fair amount of bike riding and the SBM is my constant companion when I do.

Thanks. I drive for Amazon and my delivery vehicle doesn't have speakers. This review helped me pick the xb13. It costs less than half of what the competitors do, and outputs 5-7 watts which is half of what the competitors do. Buying 2 of them, I still payed less than buying a Willen, got the same amount of volume, and stereo sound. Your sound test really helped me out here. Thanks again.
Willen is about twice as expensive as the Stormbox, and marginally better in sound quality and aesthetic. So Tirbit's a no-brainer for those with limited budget.
I absolutely love the willen. I had been using the bose micro for 3yrs now and needed an upgrade. Now this is my pocket speaker I use for work. All day. Love the design, the feel, and most importantly the sound.
Unfortunately the Willen has an absolutely horrible peak at 5 KHz. 10 db is no small thing, and it makes it impossible to hear the Willen on axis. Off axis as if placed on the table or floor it sounds more neutral, more refined than the Tribit. You're using the Tribit Micro 1st here. Gen; the 2nd Gen sounds better, more natural and slightly better mid treble section. The Marshall would be really great with the feature from the Bose Flex that automatically adjusts the sound to the positioning and with a better option to adjust bass and and treble. Marshall maybe release an update because treble around 5 and also at ~10-12 KHz is just too annoying. If all speakers cost the same, the Tribit Stormbox Micro (2nd Gen.!) is my very first choice.

Was waiting for this review, so much appreciated. Still sporting the SBM gen 1 but plan on upgrading to the Willem or SBM 2. Hope we see a versus between the two from you once you get your hands on the SBM 2.
Bose sounds dull. the tribit sounds extremely ear piercing, the Sony sounds calm but balanced. The Marshall sounds balanced not as aggressively ear piercing but it's a little aggressive. I feel like the Sony would do better if I had a stronger amp

I was surprised at the bad sound of the Willet when it was on your desk, you picked it up and the sound was then great, that looks like an issue? The Tribit sounds very tinny. The sony, I wouldn’t waste my money, a shower speaker sounds better.
Man I own both the A1 and the willen. just got the willen and I absolutely love it. The A1 is just a tad bit bigger and heavier. But the A1 is my go to personal speaker. the clarity is amazing with way deeper BASS compared to the willen. But for the willen size it has decent amount of BASS and very clear sound. Either one of those babies are great but if I had to choose, the A1 blows it out.
Nope you didn’t make it difficult. Best buy for money- Tribit, Comfortable,smooth sound as f*ck- bose, Best sound quality- marshall, (but if you don’t need your speaker to be small then spend a lil more and get the emberton) Sony comes in last every aspect except for the battery life so meh. Honestly what if i just get two tribit? How’d it compete against willen?
Tribit is objectively the best here and for the best sound quality go for the Minirig mini 2 (the battery ever too) or even the Minirig 3. Marshall is cool looking tho
Why do different speakers sound different on different channels?.. i guess souund depends who is the sponsor .. like on this channel generally the winner is .... yes you guessed it right
The problem is that it's subjective and even through the equipment. I'm using a cardiod mic that is highly concentrated in the cardiod pattern so you hear less reflection. Coupled with many other elements like bit rate, encoding on h264 for video and RU-vid compression. It's a fallacy to think these are sponsored and somehow its rigged. Plus i buy most of these speakers, this video has no sponsored content.
You already know how it sounds. Boom boom base, fun speaker. But fatiguing to listen after some times. I think it’d beat all speakers here if we talk about bass.
@@spurcusgodman Sorry but clip 3 is even worse, it's some distortion and pumping effect not bass... Wait for the earfun uboom L or get the Tribit, most others are not really good sounding.
