I just harvested my marshmallow plant and cleaned the roots the best I can. I tried peeling the roots but they were so slippery. You said you need to dry them first. Is it OK to just cut them up with the skin on. I found it to be alot of work but I did end up with a bowlful of pieces. I was wondering if they were clean enough without peeling them. Loved your video, it was very clear with the process you went through. I would like to see how you cleaned and cut them up to process them for drying.
Quick question- I’m assuming you would seed this plant in the fall? And I know you said you took 1 plant, is that 1 seed or several? Just trying to get an idea of the spacing. Thanks so much 😊
I always sow a couple seeds and thin as necessary. Marshmallow is a really good one to transplant too. I like starting them in winter and transplanting.
I have another question lol. I did try and find info but couldn’t find anything to maybe you know? I pulled my ashwagandha today and after I rinsed the dirt off I noticed what looks like small brown lesions on them. I don’t know if this is normal or if the plant is diseased and garbaged. The water is drying now and the marks are lightening up. I also took a piece and was able to scrub off the “lesions”. Would you know anything about this?
@@SerenityHillFarmstead no. I was able to pull them out. I couldn’t see them until I sprayed them with water. I actually left them out in the sun and the spots lightened significantly and I can rub the spots off
