Kill power alone is kinda a bad argument for viability. I mean, look at Ganon and Mac. They kill insanely early but they’re easily the two worst characters in the game. Though I am of the opinion Marth is mid tier at worst. Unlike Mac and Ganon, Marth can actually set up into his kills instead of just relying on reads.

@@JosepiThe13th for me i agree as a Marth main. Kill power alone won’t help you. Really good spacing and reads will get you to be good with him. But spacing with marth takes a lot of practice and A LOT of match up knowledge (character wise). But I do think ppl rate him worse than he really is I just don’t know why dat is

Hitbox of last hit of DB is a lie. It's actually slightly bigger than the graphic implies, that's why it sometimes looks like DB should tipper but it doesn't. The real tipper hitbox is slightly outside of the visual.

That’s because the hit box and animation do no line up at all. The tipper hit box is a solid character’s width away from the animation’s tip of the sword. :/ It’s one of the most annoying things about playing marth and the reason why you have to delay last hit of dancing blade until they’re further away then you’d think they have to be.

Tips (hehe) on DI-ing Marth's DB, if the first hits are at the base, ALWAYS DI in, you won't get hit by the tip and his sourspot can't kill. Too often I see people dying at like 50%, and it's cause they're trying to DI out of DB and get hit with terrible DI. If the first hits are at the tip, then DI out, you'll most likely fall out naturally and you'll then need to respond to whether the Marth does the final hit or not. And when I say tip, I mean the TIP, many of Marth's tipper hitboxes (F-air, B-air, F-tilt) the tipper hitbox is about the upper half of the blade give or take. But with DB, the tipper hitbox is tiny, being about the upper 8th or the blade in size but then is also displaced towards more towards the tip, meaning you're not getting hit by the tipper hitbox unless it's the very tip and a little beyond.
