I keep watching a bunch of these videos. I ordered the Kifaru harness. I hope it works out. The Marsupial looks so tailored and well made, has structure. The Kifaru looks like a t shirt thats been wadded up in the bottom of the hamper for a week.
Good comparison. I’ve never had a problem with magnets messing with my gps but it’s good to know that it’s possible! I found it interesting that as soon as Kifaru dropped their bino harness and all the lifers bought them up, about 2 weeks later they all sold theirs right away.
I have a buddy that swears his doesn't get affected either. My GPS would always be off a couple of degrees in the daylight and then way off in the dark. I tested it multiple times and even did a whole video on this. I know some people weren't a big fan of the straps and didn't like how you had to flip it open with both hands. However, I enjoy mine and the comfort of knowing my GPS works, and is spot on when I need it to be.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors definitely possible that I just didn’t notice. Also I’m just using my iPhone gps so maybe that’s different. It will be in mind next year when I’m out with my binos again, I’ll have to keep a closer eye on it. Thanks for the replies!
@MikeJones-vb1me happy to help anytime. If you remember, come back and let me know if you experience any issues. I'm always curious about what's different. Happy New Year!!!
I just ordered the deluxe harness. You can order tethers from other companies. I ordered a set from a company called N2 the Wild gear. Vortex sells tethers. I plan to attach mine to the hole on harness buckles.
@drewolm In my experience, you don't even need them. My binos fit pretty snug, and they don't fall out. I did think about running D-loop material to the buckles just for the added assurance.
Thays a easy pass on that Kifaru harness. Come on, Kifaru! Is that all you can offer after sitting at the cutting room table? Nothing innovative to see here. Moving right along.
I appreciate you watching and respect your opinion, but I think they have and still do make fantastic gear. Is the bino harness the best out there? Probably not, but is it functional, and I can run it and trust my GPS to work? Yes.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoorsI’m glad it worked for you. I know some folks really liked it. Seems there was far more issues than happy customers though. Just seems since the move to Wyoming that QC and innovation has fallen off. I’m sure it’s well put together. But the horror stories of bad stitching, off kilter patch, bad fit, and uncomfortable harness/no bino tether really turned me off. Glad we have many options. Appreciate the content.
