A short piece of the rare today 1932 Marta Eggerth picture, in which the young artist is singing and dancing together with her film partner Tibor von Halmay, musically accompanied by the Dajos Bela orchestra. In this scene we can see also how a record shop (here - of the Supraphon label) looked like in those days. For a short while we can aslo see Gustav Fröhlich and the unforgettable Fritz Grünbaum as the managers of the record shop.
Fritz Grünbaum died in the German concentration camp Dachau on January 14, 1941.
By this presentation I would like to pay a tribute to the memory of my Dear friend Helmut, a great film collector from Berlin.

Having enjoyed this clip, over and over and over again, I then watched the entire movie. I don't know any German - apart from the rather obvious "Skan-dal", but who needs dialogue when there is singing, dancing and comedy? Thank you, parlophonman, for this very welcome piece of froth.

Many thanks! A very nice video and song! Delightful Marta Eggerth! The title of the film in Italy was "Un bacio e una canzone" (1933); the song "Ah! Lulù!" (ten. Gino Del Signore, Parlophon record, 1933). Greetings!

Da hast Du ja mal wieder etwas ganz besonders schönes ins Netz gestellt, herrlich. Ein großartiges Filmdokument ! Man sieht es mit einem lachenden aber auch etwas trauirgen Augen - wenn daran denkt das Fritz Grünbaum wie so viele andere , neun Jahre darauf von den Nazis ermordet wurde

As a rule, I hate movies from the 30s ... almost as much as I hate movies from any other decade too. : ) But this clip is delightful! : D
