@@hadial-mokdad5322 tbh, it's not a matter of which is better, but to understand that both pieces tell different stories and are unique for your interpretation in each way. At the highest of the highest level, comparing two performances based off of good and bad is an immature perspective of listening classical music.

This is one of the hardest to perform live, especially with nerves in a competition of this high profile. She plays it as one of the best, and that was when she was young!

This is perfect .Each finger so strong and to get that evenness a perfectly maneuvered , subtle wrist ! And the entire etude just sings from its weighty bass .Noone sounds like this not Richter or even Pollini .She has imagination and isn't afraid to be subjective something classical music in searching for boring urtext (which ignores music ) has distressingly too little of ! I long for the day when instrumentalists show something of themselves !

For me the most perfect handling of dynamics and tempi; perfectly capturing the 'drama' that follows the A7 chord in bar 25 without overdoing it; my absolute favourite part of the piece.

Diese Gesamtharmonie trotz der erstaunlich großen und erhabenen Dynamik - eine Wonne! Und das fehlerfrei! Drüber weg spielen - war einfach nicht notwendig hier! Ich habe noch niemanden gehört, der das annähernd so gut kann. Sie ist unerreicht von Nachahmern!

It's an incredible performance of techniques. If you listen to this performance, you'll all know who the best technician of the 21st century is. Archerich's technique as a young man is comparable to Horowitz and Richter.

I don't think she played it - I heard the program said she was playing the Concerto in E minor when she played the one in F. It may have been incorrect.

Lisitsa plays it slightly slower, but I think is an interpretation choice, not that she can't. Frederic Kempf plays it even faster, but loses all the musicality.
