Rare footage with the always humble and positive Martha Cooper sharing her views on Graffiti in this June 29th 1984 Interview on whether Graffiti is art or vandalism.
Around the time when the whole Hip Hop movement was getting more media attention and its key players were able to earn some income on what up to only a few years earlier was only for the love of doing it.
The clubs and the art scene in Manhattan were already taking notice and with some major movie releases like Beat Streat and the West Coast movie Breakdance the rest of the world was not far behind.
Naturally this sparked the debate or gave the people an excuse to discuss if Graffiti was Art or Vandalism.
Includes interviews with subway users and drivers and gives a nice view of The Bronx in 1984.
