These are indeed awesome instruments. I have not tried a 12 string for open tunings or slide, never really been my thing but I love the way this sounds and may have to try it. I own a more traditional 2014 model D12-28. First guitar in 1967 was a cheap Framus 12 string. The D12-28 was always my dream 12 and I found a sweet one used at Tone Shop in Texas a few years back and ordered it. Four 12 strings on the wall at present. Always on the lookout for others. If I could find a Martin OMC-35e in 12 string that would be at high risk of displacing almost anything else on my wall. I would have to rearrange everything so it is not quickly noticed....... (well, it works sometimes....)

Slide works better when you lightly lay it on strings and move it.hahaha just sayin.pretty melody a little lighter touch and a couple of pings like in the beginning. Get a old cassett player and record it to.My father had over 200 artist under his bluegrass label API
