14 million people in the UK are out of contract on their mobile - are you one of them?Visit our website to find a cheap mobile deal: www.moneysavingexpert.com/mob...
BS, he lied to us all for the government, meaning he's their puppet to help fool us all. He said in another video that its Putins fault for the massive price increase in energy. If you remember or search back, the energy increased before the war, it was discussed in the g7 meeting Cornwall 2021.
There it is - once upon a time our elected officials actually worked for us. It’s so far away now we have to go outside parliament to even see it now. 😔
Yep, he sold us the bs about Ukraine being the reason why energy companies rip us off and continue to do so. He didn't say enough or use his position to stand against them
It’s like buying a coffee at costa, and halfway through your drink, they come over and charge you extra for the rest of the drink. A contract should be the same price throughout. Sick of being ripped off by these thieves.
Good excuse for a windfall tax on the companies. If I'm going to be forced to overpay, I'd rather the money went to the taxpayer than to top up their already high profits.
My motorolla phone was £99 from argos and i pay a fiver a month for the MSE Lebara monthly sim which gets me signal in a notoriously bad 'dead zone/no signal' area in thr countryside, ive got more data and minutes than i need 😊 thanks for all you do
What always annoys me is companies no matter what for send you an email telling you there is a change in the contract etc. Can you imagine if you sent them a message saying you have changed the contract they would tell you, no you signed up for this one you have to abide by it you can't just change it, but they can.
It's a dirty tactic by these companies. But when they send you this letter you are allowed to disagree and leave. Then sign up with someone else's name in the house ( if available) My Internet went from £54 to £17 because I don't put up with their bull shit
Cheers Martin - just took out monthly SIM - MSE Lebara £2 a month for 6 months then £5 after and its NO contract just rolling... great stuff and comes with 5gb - and unlimited calls and texts. suits me fine!
Martin can you please make a video about broadband providers, I am stuck with BT as the only option in my building and nearly paying 40£ a month for the second lowest speed available. That's ridiculous and they keep putting their prices up but can't do anything about it
I got into a 2 year contract which was a good deal at the time. Now prices have dropped & the amount of data increased: I have 10GB but only use 5GB a month. Most plans now come with unlimited minutes & texts.
i might add to this that you can download apps that show you where the signal is comming from and how strong it is and most of the time you can change where you are connecting to in the settings of your mobile phone.
There's no need to buy a new phone these days as there are some really good secondhand phones for about £70-80 to buy outright no contract and a £30 pay as you go sim which gives 100 gb data and most people won't use more than 50- 60 gb of data a month etc People could save a few quid by only using a smartphone for everything and cancel home Wi-Fi as WiFi isn't necessary nor is a t v and cancelling monthly subscriptions saves a lot of money too Plus buying a Portable solar powered station with 2 collapsible 100 watt solar panels would give free energy for many after initial purchase cost
Smarty do a rolling 1 month contract for 60 gig data, with unlimited calls and texts for only £10 a month. They are a 3 company on the 3 network, so coverage is as good as the others.
When it comes to renewing car insurance, companies are not letting you speak to a real person, ie Aviva. I have tried. You have a chat line which is useless. Then they send a survey link if you renew I think they’re taking the piss.
@@bertbox69 If you run a speed test on Smarty compared to say Vodafone, O2 or EE direct you will notice a considerable difference, it is worse at peak times and better off peak.
@@TheHainsFam@TheHainsFam you will get the same result compared to three direct also. Cheaper carriers throttle data. Why can't you compare to the other big 3 their infrastructure is similar, are you saying three are not as good as the others?
Thank goodness I’m out of a contract and am now with UW. They piggyback on the EE network, but still allow roaming in Europe at no extra cost. I get a great package by including my energy, broadband, phone and house insurance. The customer service is U.K. based and second to none!
We're in a sticky situation where I live as only EE has strong 5G signal. They practically have a stranglehold on the region, and that makes it difficult to switch. The fact that we only have four carriers in the UK (EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three) is a travesty.
Moved already. Left O2 because of this. Of course they cried about it but it felt good to be able to tell them to stuff it. They’ll have to work harder than their current offerings if they ever want to see mine or my daughters contact back again.
wasnt free, & all i got was a mssg from the current provider stating that they hoped i wouldn’t ‘switch’, how to claim a refund of my current balance, & some adverts for their services. cool !
I've been with SMARTY for a few years and they do a rolling 1 month contract for 60 gig data, with unlimited calls and texts for only £10 a month. They are a 3 company on the 3 network, so coverage is as good as the others.
My son was paying vodafone £45 a month for a sim only, with unlimited data. He switched to Asda, who use the Vodafone network and is only paying £20 a month. Not only that, his mobile signal is a lot better now, even though he was paying more than double to vodafone.
You might need to be persistent. I've tried this a few times recently with O2, and got a "Oops, something went wrong...." type of reply. The third attempt today worked, and it confirmed that I'm out of contract.
Yeh, I found that with 02 to. Went into branch in end, now with tesco, much better sim only deal for half the price and they run of 02 network so same coverage. . . Win win 😊
they are bald faced liars, i spent 2 hours on the phone being passed from pillar to post, then got told some lily livered bullshit about theres 2 different systems and I just happen to be on the other system which by a quirk of fate meant they couldn't do anything to help, fancy that! Funny how they never have an issue with this 'other computer system' when its time to collect the monthly bill
I did this and got a text from EE to say to end my contract would cost £0. I switched to Vodafone over a year ago from EE because I moved house and the EE signal was rubbish 🤔
Yes, it may be cheaper, but what you don't tell us is the mbs of each network. I'm getting 135mbs. If I move, will I get that or drop dramatically to say 25mbs to 35mbs ? If so, why change? i certainly wouldn't. & Yes, you can tell the difference.
Most virtual operators have very similar speeds as the network they piggyback from, try to use ones run by the network directly such as O2 -> Giffgaff, Vodafone -> Voxi, Three -> Smarty. You can also use signal checkers to compare network coverage in your area.
I'm done with paying £90 a month every 2 years. I just bought a 2nd hand fold 4 and put in a £10 sim from voxi. Cost me £400 in total. And £120 for a year, not 2k for 2 years. Im done making myself other rich.
Shed in ‘shed load’ means that the load has been shed, like a deciduous tree sheds it leaves in autumn, not a large amount of whatever it may be you’re talking about.
Even more like a lorry sheds its load if not properly tied down. Got a shed load of food mixers here love. Stolen? Nah love, fell off the back of a lorry love"
I switched from O2 at £25 a month (who id been with 25 years) for exactly the same deal through ID mobile for £8 pm. Wish I'd switched years ago. Get nothing for loyalty.
Sometimes you can haggle with the customer service and point out that you've found a better deal elsewhere and they'll price match it for you. Can sometimes take a bit of time and hassle to though.
Yep similar 12.00 but I never paid more than 16.00 as I don't contract with a phone. I buy phone via very site n spread that cost over 12 months. As it's cheaper when you add it all up.
I'm with 3 network unlimited.. mine is £12 because I been with them for over 10 years and threatened to leave if they didn't value me. If you went to 3 network it likely be around £15 to £20@@patryqoo
All I have been getting from Tesco Mobile in reply to my text for the last 7 DAYS has been: "Sorry, there has been a technical hitch. Please try again later". 😠 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm ID mobile keeps saying there is a problem, so I ticked the ask for the PAC, it turned up with undergoing maintenance. I’m trying very hard not to put on a tinfoil hat.
I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever, hoping to retire next year.. Investment should always be on any creative man's heart for success in life
YES! that's exactly her name (Stacey Macken) I watched her interview on CNN News and so many people recommended highly about her and her trading skills, she's an expert and I'm just starting with her....From Brisbane Australia
Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 12 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn't know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super
Thanks Martin. I pay as you go on my mobile phone. Always have. I pay between £8-10 per month which is a recurring bill that I can cancel at any time with giffgaff. #giffgaff 📱 The problem is, people can’t afford to buy new phones, so they tie themselves into unaffordable contracts. Why not buy a second hand phone on back market which has quality secondhand, refurbished smartphones for reasonable prices. Prices vary, depending which phone you have. But I paid £180 for an ‘unlocked’ iPhone SE which was 1 yr old in excellent condition that was sent to my home with free recorded delivery, packaged securely. #backmarket
i had a sim only contract with Three and boy it was horrible there 4g is terrible there customer support is some how even worse i was paying i think £8 a month for 6gb of data which is all i need but when my contract as up they wanted to up charge me i think like £15 or £20 for 10gb which i was telling them i dont need and i have found a better offer not only would they not budge but they were rude and ignorant when i told them i want my pac code to change provider they still kept sending me bills through the post for a contract i was no longer in thankfully i didnt have to pay it, i will never go with three again
Hi Martin, is it true that a piggybacking network gets 'second tier' performance? Eg in a busy city, would someone on a primary provider get a more reliable and faster experience, even if the network is the same?
SIM Sherpa do a comparison (would provide a link but comments normally get deleted) certainly some features that work better on the main network compared to the piggybacked services.
They do tend to de-prioritise virtual operators, yes. You won't be deliberately slowed down, but when a cell is busy, you'll find your data performance is worse than others. Also, you're at the back of the queue when connecting to a busy cell - noticeable at a popular event, for example.
8%😮blimey and there’s Rishi and his stooge Jeremy telling us all the economy is buzzing and we have nothing to worry about😢council tax, up, car tax, up, car insurance, up, internet, up, fuel, up, food, up…oh but don’t worry folk everything is better! Thanks Martin I will ditch EE for a Smarty sim only right now😂you star you…subscribed🎉
That means you're still in contract - so your provider should be in touch with you about a month before your contract ends to let you know it's coming up, and they'll also share any deals they have that might suit you to change to once you can.
@MoneySavingExpert - When can we sign new contract before price increases and be safe? I don't want to end up in the situation when I've signed up on 31 of March and got price increase the day after!
I would love to switch to a network that has reasonable coverage/signal in North Staffordshire as where I live, I can only barely get 1 bar of signal if I am lucky.
