Ødegaard becoming captain for Norway was actually quite naturally, he was one of the best players and one of the more experienced. My guy have been playing internationals since he was 15!😂
I thinks he has proven himself to be compared with the OG’s. That itself is a great accomplishment! With that said I don’t think it’s early to discuss if he is the best captain. Great vid!💪
Hard to take this seriously when the poster can't tell the difference between Gabriel and Gabriel Jesus. Stopping at the Premier League years also discounts Frank McLintock and Joe Mercer not to mention Alan Ball. Tony Adams captained Arsenal from the age of 21 during our most successful period and that is a far bigger testament than Martin being made captain of Norway. Norway are hardly blessed with a glut of world class players.
A disgraceful statement. Adams, McLintock, Vieira were magnificent. O’Leary, Sansom, Rice, Mercer etc were great Arsenal captains. Fabregas was a game one he done his best but fell short. Didn’t think much of Arteta, Henry, Koschielny, Mertersacker etc as captains. Odergaard is a great little player and a good captain, he leads through consistent excellence and lifts the boys heads when in tough moments and isn’t afraid to dig out players who aren’t putting it all in on the pitch. If he leads Arsenal to title he will be doing well. Vieira, McLintock, Adams were blood and thunder inspirational leaders it will take more than a league title to put Odergaard in that level of leader. Adams captained a young Arsenal side to the title at 21. If he wins the league as captain he’d be the best since Vieira. But greatest in Arsenal history is miles off
He's certainly the best in recent years, but come on. Vieira was insane for us as a skipper and as the backbone of the club, and Tony Adams is literally called Mr. Arsenal. Odegaard is young and incredible and he definitely has the capacity to become the best ever, he's already outshone the likes of Koscielny and Auba, but to be called the best ever is a tad early.
Please don't be silly. You can't caveat 'Ever' with 'Recently'. It's an awful question that encourages people to disparage a wonderful footballer and human.
I am Norwegian and i love the fact that he is captain of this team, but come on... If he continiues like this he wil surely become a club legend but its to early to talk about this. Come back in 9 games and we can talk again hehe
Not even going to watch the video but came to downvote the video. There’s a fine line between Click bait and straight up not taking your craft seriously.
@@Hattrick2022 thank you for your response. I have no doubt that’s what the video said. I was simply drawing your attention to your click bait and how exaggerated it was. That’s all.
The cult surrounding this guy is absurd. Guy has been at arsenal for basically two seasons as of writing this and already videos like this are being made. Social media is really the valley of hype and nonsense.
Martin does seem to be a quality captain. I think theres two questions though really. Best and Great are seperate thing. Best doesn't require success of the team whereas Greatest pretty much does. Viera and Adam's were both quality leaders and great leaders, due to being good at the role and getting success from it. I do think that Patrick maybe wasn't quite as good as we remember, because I think he was probably OVERLY aggressive which actually led to some serious issues with disipline throughout the team at the time. Adam's is absolutely the best and greatest leader we had. Arteta is a example of someone who was an absolutely top draw quality captain, but he can't be regarded as "great" as a captain because he really didn't have much success.
