When the Swiss Miss and Anna joined forces for doubles , man that was the best !!! Even though Anna was the THEE most beautiful women's tennis player of all time she carried herself with so much class. She knew Martina was virtually unbeatable ( head to head ) but when they teamed up they became champions. I believe it was Anna's 1st and only Major championship. Although she may have won multiple majors w Hingis...have to look that up. Anna was a great player...period and a class act w all the over the top attention that she got. I remember when Hingis was asked about the " rivalry" and she said " there is no rivalry...she's never beaten me " which if anybody remembers back then Martina had NO lack of confidence..I mean this is a girl at 5 yrs old who was routing 10 yrs old. Then the highly competitive juniors where she won multiple titles in majors and if not for a knee surgery which kept her out 8 weeks " fell off her horse " leading into the clay court tournaments she would of easily won the French Open. No preparation at all and she still made the final. Love Anna and the Swiss Miss!!!!
I didn't know Kournikova was that good. Watching the highlights (and other recently put up matches) it seems she had intelligence and skill, but seemed to rarely make it to the finish line in front (win). Thinking about her next photoshoot or?
She was highly skilled but had a low margin for error, a weak service motion and didn’t truly believe in herself. That being said, she sort of had limitless potential and could hang with anyone. That’s all on her.
I have a simple question. And I’m sure every tennis fan can relate, why in the absolute hail don’t they use this camera angle more!!!!!? God knows every tennis player would love to see the game from the players point of you for at least several points. Nowadays you only see it from up above and it is so awesome to see it from their perspective. We need to create a movement! LOL
