This woman why I started listening to country. I heard her back in 2000 when I was 12 years old and fell in love with her voice! And I’m a black girl from the hood, but didn’t care! I still and will always love her.
I've been listing to music 50 s 60s 70 and some of the the magnificent vocals came from that Era but along comes Martina Mcbride with her powerful dynamic voice and blows just about all of them away. And the writer of independent day penned equaly as powerful a song. independence day for mankind was not 4th of july (however great) but when the stone was rolled away from Christ's tomb everyone seen he had risen now that is independence day
What a little show off hey....lol..jk. Can this little girl sing or what? Quite amazing. I loved her the first time I saw her. She's a good Momma & a good person too.
I am 69 years old, and have listened to alot of music. She has the the most pure, clear vocals I have EVER heard, beautifully displayed in this timeless, important song. She is a genuine gift to music.....and us. Thank you Ms. McBride.
This song makes me think about when I was a kid in 2001. The day after 9/11 a bridge contractor near me put an American flag on the crane. We were driving by and we saw all the guys with their hard hats in their hands while the crane was going up with the flag on the top.
Has anybody commented on her looks yet? If not allow me to be the first. She is gorgeous. I cannot believe no one has mentioned one comment about how good-looking she is or about her eyes.
Broadway Swiftie yes yes yes I agree. Even hearing the cords to the song everyone knows what song it is and is up on there feet cheering and clapping and singing.
After leaving an abusive relationship with a Narcissists and I was with him for 13 years I got tired of the choking, the hitting the gaslighting and left him this year in January. I'm so happy but I still carry emotional scars with me
Martina, you are an absolutely gorgeous lady with beautiful eyes, beautiful voice & beautiful smile. Just beautiful in every way. No one compares to you. Martina, you’re a doll with the voice of an angel. You are the greatest female singer ever.
Martina ...this is America as I remember it....what happened to America...let's unite as we are stronger together when we are united.... Happy Independence Day....James.... Canada
Such a powerful song! Martina gets all the credit but surely Gretchen Peters deserves a lot too for writing it. Always reminds me of an infamous case here in Nova Scotia of an abused woman who killed her husband. An RCMP officer reportedly said something like " she saved us the trouble."
I’m from Nova Scotia as well. My father was emotionally abusive . Sometimes physical. Oddly enough he had a copy of Life With Billy on his nightstand. This song hits home. I remember watching the movie on CBC as a kid. We had 3 channels. Treat your kids well people. You only get one shot at it.
Somebody needs to tell Taylor Swift that's how you sing that's what a professional sounds like that's class at its finest doesn't need Million Dollar close and all the makeup in the world to look good and sound good just a pair of jeans and a shirt get the girl a microphone and just sit down and watch How it's done !!!
She’s my favorite Country singer. God gave her the most beautiful voice ever. Her voice goes deep into my soul 🕊♥️🌹💙 Thank you for sharing this beautiful video and God Bless 🙏🏽🌹
Let Freedom Ring America! We did it. We took down the dark empire last night who's main goal was to destroy American Freedom and Independence. 1776 is here and it is strong. God Bless this Country! The Greatest Country in the World!
It's like Springsteen's Born In The USA a patriotic sounding title but look deeper into the lyrics and properly listen to it there is a completely different meaning
This was a crazy time to be alive, right after 9/11 the entire nation came together it was very empowering. This was less than 2 weeks after the attack. It was wild, everyone was pissed and extremely patriotic
দুর্বলকে শক্তিশালী হতে দিন..👍💪 👍🎸😍 Lyrics: Well, she seemed all right by dawn's early light Though she looked a little worried and weak She tried to pretend he wasn't drinkin' again But Daddy left the proof on her cheek And I was only eight years old that summer And I always seemed to be in the way So, I took myself down to the fair in town On Independence Day Well, word gets around in a small, small town They said he was a dangerous man But Mama was proud and she stood her ground She knew she was on the losin' end Some folks whispered, some folks talked But everybody looked the other way When time ran out there was no one about On Independence Day Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing Let the whole world know that today, is a day of reckoning Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's Independence Day Well, she lit up the sky that Fourth of July By the time that the firemen come They just put out the flames and took down some names And sent me to the county home Now, I ain't sayin' it's right or it's wrong But maybe it's the only way Talk about your revolution It's Independence Day Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing Let the whole world know that today, is a day of reckoning Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's Independence Day Roll the stone away It's Independence Day.....
It takes something pretty major to get my eyes watering, I didn't even cry at my own dads funeral but 3 get me started 1 by Reba the other 2 by Martina, Independence Day and Concrete Angel
Martina McBride is one of my favorites! Found this song a while back. God Bless AMERICA!! I know it is not your Will to keep America. I think I know why but there is nothing I can do about it!
I love her & Willie !! Thanks to Willie Nelson & Friends for farm Aid & all their help to our farmers & their familys, For keeping our Heart land alive & giving our farmers hope & love to keep the land going for generations!! We
@@emptyleadjacket If you've heard Aretha Franklin sing, you know Martina McBride does not have unlimited range. It's not even close. Same with Whitney Houston. Not even getting into guys. Even if you limit it to just country music, Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton are easily superior singers. Again, Martina is a phenomenal singer. But there are countless phenomenal singers. To say she's the greatest vocalist to ever live IS absurd. And I think you know it.
@@NH-pi5dw Ok you prob got me there On Aretha Franklin. But Patsy Cline doesn't nearly have as smooth a voice as Martina. And neither does Dolly. They're both very nasally. They both sound like rednecks whining. They were one truck ponies and they're range isn't even in the same category as Martina. They sounded good yes but they didn't have RANGE.
@@NH-pi5dw Dolly Parton and Martina both have around 30 Best Female Vocalist nominations but Martina was active from 1993-2019 and Dolly Parton was active from 1975-2019. And both had sparing performances in the later years.. So Dolly has a twenty year headstart and Martina still has the same number of best female Vocalist noms. Also Martina has 4 best female Vocalist wins at the CMAs and Dolly has 2.. Martina has 14 Grammy wins and Dolly has 11.
Tony Vann, Kid Rock said it all, This lady has it all. What a voice. I wasn't into Country music. I'm English. Martina has brought Country to the forefront. With her , The Band Perry and Tim McGraw. Thanks Martina, love you
The Band Perry are also great. Country really rocks for me, love it. I am a Gloria Estefan, fan have been for years. But, Martina's voice is awesome, so powerful and so good looking. Yvonne my wife is a Kid Rock fan, not bad for a pensioner. Byronof calgary are you from or do you live in Calgary. We where going to emigrate to Lethbridge, Alberta.
