I still love this guy , the best ever as far 😍 as I'm concerned. Lost him entirely too early. He was my all time favorite. Thanks for offering this great music. We're we ever cheated!!
I did not know that Marty Robbins was this good. All of these country singers in his era were big talents. The new country singers all sound the same and lack this level of talent.
How I wish I had been able to see Marty in concert. Unfortunately, life happened and I was unable to. He was the greatest. I became a fan of Marty when I was 14. Here I am, almost 80, and I'm still in love with his music. Rest in wace, sweet man.
I’ve been a big Marty Robbins fan since I was a teenager. I’m 82 years old now. I listen to his songs everyday! My name is Marty also! He had his first heart attack on Dec.2, which is my birthday. What a sad way to remember! He passed away on Dec. 8. I’m a self taught piano player. I play by ear. What I do is listen to a song over and over until I memorize the words and tune. Then I can set down and play it. I make a copy of just the lyrics and place on piano. Then I play from the words, no notes on paper! My daughter thinks that’s amazing, I think it’s just the love of his music!
@@Mlspky Marty Spencer that is a gift Few can do it. Most that can can play many instruments all by ear. My grandmother could and it seam's the gift was passed to two of my grandson's One is son of my son the other is son of my daughter. From drum, reed, wood, to piano they can teach them self in less that thirty minutes. But there's more yet on my husband side most can play some sing and play and write song's. Country singer Michael Ray is one or our nephew's
Such a fine mellow voice. And one thing I always liked about Marty is you could tell he just loved performing. Can't stand what passes for country today! Miss you Marty!!!!
Singers and songs like Marty Robbins make you wish you could have saved them from death....but God knows best... We'll forever miss you Marty . There always were and will be one Marty Robbins Love you endlessly ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🙏🏾🙋🏾♀️
I fell in love with Marty when I was eight years old, now at 75 still am. Had the honor to see him perform live twice, had front row seat and it was wonderful to watch him. Not only can he sing, but also very humorous. Wonderful, wonderful to have the privilege of being so close to him. Miss him so much, but so grateful his music goes on. There will never be another.
Saw him on this tour in the Ulster Hall, Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1982---probably the best concert I’ve ever been to-he could sing anything, had a superb stage presence and the sound was recording studio perfect
If my mother was still was with us she’d be 83 when she was a teenager she saw Marty at a train station in Cincinnati she yelled Mr. Teardrop! his nickname & he came to my mother & talked to her and gave her an autograph 😊
When I was little my mother would put music on for us listen to when we went to sleep at night and this was one of the songs Marty Robbins and when it got to the part where the cowboy got shot and he laid and died I remember I cried
I can say; WOW he had it all. Funny funny man with a golden voice which is proven in his Hawaiian album. None better just one other with a mellow sweet golden voice, Jim Reeves. Marty. Marty. !!!!
I seen when I was about 12 at my towns rodeo in Mich , in the early 70’s. I kissed him 6 times. “Don’t Worry” is my very favorite. I also saw Tammy Wynette, and Conway Twitty at those little Rodeos. 😁
Bill Martinez is just one of the best drummers of all time. He never misses the beat. Good to see Jack Pruett up front, playing his guitar as awesome as always.
SAW HIM AT THE BROADWAY THEATRE IN PITMAN NJ 1 YEAR BEFORE HE PASSED. HE WAS BRILLIANT, IN GREAT VOICE, TOLD FUNNY STORIES, AND PERFORMED FOR 2+ HRS!!!
I loved MARTY ROBBINS. MARTY IS THE UTMOST AWESOME THE GREATEST THE BEST COULD GO ON ALL YEAR BRAGGING ABOUT MARTY ROBBINS.. NO ONE WILL EVER DUPLICATE MARTY SONGS OR HIM. JUST NEVER BE ANOTHER. NEVER! RIP MARTY ROBBINS YOUR THE GREATEST!!
Marty Robbins was and is my favorite country singer since I was young. I was very upset the day I heard he had passed away, he was still so young. Rest in Peace Marty.❤
One of the all time greats in country music history. Got to see him live in the late 70's. We even got autographs of photos my mom took of him at a nascar race.
So incredible to think he put on such a great performance than died the same year as this concert What a troopet Has to be the greatest songwriter of all time and a great voice to go along with it
Saw Marty on tour during the 60's...in Auckland NZ. Packed house, applause after applause. His new single out was...Begging To You. Audience went wild. They went ballistic... mind you, I was one of them, too! Mad Kiwi's that we were, Marty couldn't stop laughing. He ended the show... singing... the most famous N Z song. "Now Is The Hour" He asked the audience to sing it in Māori. My memory of Marty Robbins. What a showman and a gentleman.
I recall visiting dad's older brother in another state in 1956 & my uncle playing on his guitar White Sports Coat & asking me if I knew the song. A very precious memory & the song has always been extra special because of that. Plus it's a pretty darn good song too!
My grandpa was the one who introduced me to Marty’s songs and it broke me when he passed so in his honor a made an entire playlist of the songs he used to sing and the ones he loved and I realized more than half of them were Marty Robbins songs
Let’s not forget the number of souls this man’s religious music saved as well. Listening to The Master’s Call for the first time was as close to a revelation as I’ve ever had.
Greatness! And greatness attracts same, referring to the band, backup singers, steel guitar, trumpets and the rest. The man playing the runs on the guitar that the camera kept showing, is out of this world! Was that Grady Martin, whom had played guitar in the original song ElPaso? Thanks Marty! You'll always remain the greatest ! RIP.
I was fortunate to see Marty perform at the newly opened Grand Ole Opry house in Nashville in the fall of 1974. He came in late for the Saturday night show as he was prone to do because he was racing NASCAR stock cars at the local Nashville Speedway. At midnight, he rolled the clock back about 30 minutes so he could perform longer; that was his trait. He was one of the best country stars ever. Still miss him 40+ years after his untimely death. RIP Marty.
Keep it up marty your my hero and king of all music and king in general your an inspiration to anyone and your performances are sadly missed but your legend will always live on RIP God bless my friend the utmost respect
Marty was an incredible performer. I never get tired of listening to Marty Robbins! Hes been one of my all time favorites!! I will never forget him! He was good looking and a special man singing the very best songs. His style was very unique! I will always love him! Hope hw us resting in eace now!
Marty had the very best band in the world steel guitar trumpets piano all were excellent and his style of music and songwriting touched my soul. I never got to se him in person but l would have paid all my money to see him in concert. Dont forget he was also a great nascar driver and won a nascar race just one week before he died! He was 30 years older than me and today lm 69, so Marty was the very greatest entertainer if the last century!! He was born in 1925. There will never be another any greater and todays talent needs to study people like Marty Robbins if they truly desire greatness!!❤ Love & miss you Marty. I know youre in heaven now singing for our Lord and Saviour. R.l.P. my dear friend❤❤
