The compact sedan gets a complete makeover both inside and out.
At the front, it gets a new hexagonal grille which is inspired by the new-generation Swift. The Dzire further gets new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. At the side, it is curvier than before and the alloy wheels are also all-new. At the rear, the sedan gets LED taillamps with light guides.
Interior highlights include a new three-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel and a 7-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto, MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay. Also, the third generation sedan has dropped the 'Swift' moniker and will now be called the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
In terms of the mechanicals, the new Dzire will continue to feature the same engine options - a 1.2-litre petrol developing 83PS/113Nm and a 1.3-litre diesel developing 75PS/190Nm.
Transmission options though have been slightly revised and both theengines get a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT as an option. Mileage has improved across the board - ARAI-certified mileage of the petrol MT is 22.0kmpl (1.15kmpl+), petrol AT is 22.0kmpl (3.5kmpl+), diesel MT and AT is 28.4kmpl (1.81kmpl+).
