Worn Out Flywheel Results In Severe Vibration From The Clutch Pedal
We had this 2009 Maruti Suzuki Swift, having completed an overall driving mileage of 196k kilometres, visit one of our MotoFyx car repair workshop for an annual service along with a concern relating that of severe vibration being observed from the clutch pedal while engaging gears. There was a noticeable performance drop along with a burning smell being observed. With driving the car in such a state becoming increasing difficulty and seeking a permanent fix to the above concern the car owner reached out to us for immediate assistance.
Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, an initial road trial did indicate signs of a weak clutch set. Dismantling the gearbox the clutch set had completely worn out, damaging the flywheel in the process. The clutch release bearing was also weak and required replacement.
