You comparison should be with prestige plus with xl6 Alpha plus . even top end also carens will be best option. My personal opinion as a user , kia Caren prestige plus manual diesel is the perfect choice

Having xl6 zeta manual (face lift version)best o best value for money car, done 5000 km avg kml for me is 17.4 in highway ,if u want diesel u can go but I have compared carens lot more, investment, running cost, in every aspect xl6 fulfill me let others decide..

Finally you also said practically Xl6 good..my friend purchase Kia caren mid variant diesel price is equal to Xl6 high variant alpha +...mid variant Kia caren less features... Brother don't compare with the brochure and plz compare after sales and service.

Yes True … and he should have compared with 1.4 Petrol turbo prestige or prestige plus variant which is 12.5L and 14L. The Carens 1.5 NAP is useless to compare ….The more value for money in mid variant also is XL6 practically.

Does a wider and longer build become an advantage whereas the taller build becomes a disadvantage? Doesn't that give more headroom? Secondly, in the wheels and brakes section, in the second row, xl6 has R16 in all variants which makes it a win(same like wheel type). Which in turn makes that entire section a draw. Isn't it?

For large family i feel Kia Carens is miles ahead and very luxurious compared to Xl6. Kia Carens is clear Winner. Even from car look perspective , Carens is very stylish and gives a premium feel whereas XL6 is more of a typical design and nothing unique in it. Also Carens has features like Hill side assist and ac vent sits on top of car which gives a good AC experience duing hot summer also.

Totally this comparison is not acceptable, comparing diesel mileage with Petrol and model also , xl6 zeta with carens prestige 3.5lakhs difference and also halogen led only available in carens ,more over service with spare Maruthi is better and not notified , turbo engine is a complicated system and not perform good in low rpm’s and low pick in city ride , more over smart hybrid system explanation not given , more many features given in Kia is not used in normal use ages Before giving the comments kindly consult with experts and then give the reviews

I booked Kia Sonet Diesel full automatic a week back. Sonet Diesel is way far best value for money loaded with great features.On road price in Chennai is 15.5L with all accessories and additional warranty 4th and 5th year with unlimited kms. But Venue Diesel automatic is more than this price range.

Frist maruthi enga Kia enga in maruthi only petrol but in kia both petrol and diesel is there. In maruthi only two variants but in kia four variant petrol to petrol and diesel to diesel comparison is right and in this best o best u can give body roll over column petrol to petrol compare panuga we can see who will win

There will be demand for diesel cars always even in future due to fuel efficiency and better drivability .. EV cars has its own pros and cons.. Even now Diesel cars have long waiting period but still people wait and buy it it’s worth waiting.. there won’t be ban of diesel cars in future but GOVT may impose strict emission control norms which may force OEM to either increase cost of vehicle or push them towards Hybrid and EV. Other side EV needs to replace battery every 7 year or 5 yrs based on usage which may blow the pockets of customer. Pocket friendly EV has long way to go in India as we need to reduce cost of battery which may take atleast 7- 10 yrs from now. There is no best alternative to Diesel in terms of fuel efficiency and cost difference between petrol and diesel for next 7 years minimum. Even servicing diesel cars is little expensive but still will save a lot because of higher mileage and petrol diesel price difference. Carens diesel gives excellent mileage in long journey and within city as well.

I am a Maruti fan for close to 15yrs. Zen estilo for 5 yrs and Ertiga for 10 yrs.. ofcourse maruti is known for their service newtork and that is the very reason many go for it. But recent (3+yrs)their service has become so pathetic and made me to try other brand than Marut and landed with Kia. Not sure how they will behave. Yet Marutis service has deteriorated a lot and simply looting money.

There is nothing to resolve this bro...should improve the way of driving in slope regions and in hills ...I have Prestige 1.5L petrol which is better in such situations ...I have driven 1.4L turbo petrol in prestige too in hill areas and never faced such issues....Driving a 7 seater with turbo is not similar to driving a 5seater turbo vehicle ..Should drive efficiently in hill regions

@@BILLAAJAY This issue is because of the turbo Engine . We should adjust our driving style towards that. Because of the nature of turbo engine works that way wherein the turbo picks only after specific RPM . If this is a serious issue, i am thinking to change to DCT instead of MT.
