Love how they are handling Pete's personality change with the suit. He's still helping civilians but throwing them aside instead of gently bringing them down, and cutting off Miles instead of bantering. The new abilities for both of them look so fun too! Definitely excited for this

I like how the symbiote makes him more dismissive and aggressive, but it also shows how it clouds his judgment, and miles is the one saving him and making more "heroic" acts... they're definitely going to fight
I love the extra touch of Miles not even sensing Peter when he comes crashing down through the roof. Hope that's consistent in the game like in the comics
At this point it should set off miles sense as he hasn't been bonded to the symbiote so his spider sense hasn't been pacified by it, I think it's just cause obviously peter wasn't gonna hurt him, yet. Peter gave miles grief the whole trailer 😭
LOVE that the developers aren't holding back and decided to showcase the symbiote right outta the gate. Matter of fact-their confidence shows that there is most certainly more to come. Love it.
The little detail of Peter looking at Lizard and back at the helicopter blades, almost as if he was genuinely considering letting those people die to catch Connors. Game looks incredible

I thought it was like "Be Greater" being the emphasis with Peter since the symbiote gives him more power while it was essentially encroaching and ruining the "together". Miles' electricity foreshadowing at the battle he and Symbiote Peter will have later on.
Peter going from vitriolically defending Connors from Kraven's guys to darkly declaring "he's mine..." at the end is a perfect illustration of how the symbiote affects him mentally. This game is going to be great
11:29 Peter rescued the civilian but on the landing just threw him instead of being cautious. Loved that detail and the reaction of Miles as well! The relationship between the two while Peter gets more agressive is going to be awesome.

Something I don’t think is being talked about is how awesome the haptics are going to be with this game. In ratchet and clank every gun genuinely had an effect that blew my mind when using it. While also when running through different environments and jumping it was really crazy so now to see all the w swinging and fighting on top of I bet the symbiote is going to have a cool effect and then miles lightning will also.
I love that little line Peter says towards the end: “I warned you about going after conners, now this is on you!” Almost like he’s justifying to himself that he can be more aggressive with taking them down or potentially harming them more than just a concussion.

I love the little look Miles gives Peter at 11:33 after he just tosses the civilian to the ground and doesn’t even ask if he’s okay before getting back to the task at hand. Miles can tell something isn’t right and that Peter isn’t himself.
I love the fact that he saves the pedestrian, and proceeds to throw him on the ground afterwards. It shows the suit and his mind are actually fighting for his actions.
It's cool but it would've been cooler if Miles said something about it. It kind of feels like an developmental afterthought without any dialogue referencing it.
Already loved the first one,but the symbiote story line has been my favorite for 30 years and they are actually doing it right!. It's not just a suit it's a personality and a boost in his strength and abilities.
It's not even JUST a boost. It's more like Venom convinces Peter to stop pulling his punches bit by bit. Doc Ock in Spidey's body once broke Scorpions jaw clean off. If he didn't hold back, Spider-Man would kill EVERYONE he ever fought.
@@toxicdemon1315I mean, of course he stops pulling his punches under the influcence of the symbiote, but he clearly gains a boost in all of his powers too, he feels more powerful just by using the symbiote for the first time. It's even worse for the villains, a stronger and more ruthless Spidey who doesn't hold back as much on their asses.
@@CobraKing5398funny thing is, I could be wrong but the original venom in the comics don't give Peter a boost, only organic webbing and of course shifting his personality.
The black suit in the comics was originally just an alien custome, that was intended to be the new permeant suit design. Because of fans hating it they turned it into an actual alien that controls Peter in his sleep, so Peter had a reason to go to the Fantastic Four, get rid of it and go back to the red and blue. And of course after they did that fans complained that they missed the black suit so Peter wore a fabric black suit for some time. Until Venom traumatized MJ and the black suit reminded her of Venom. Then Peter burned it and permanently went back to the red and blue. All the suit did in the original storyline was give Spider-man unlimited webbing, give him some useful shapeshifting capabilities (like making pockets in his custome or changing his clothes fast) and control him in his sleep. Peter gradually got more tired the longer he had the suit but otherwise it didn't effect his personality or powers at all. The ideas of the suit boosting his powers and corrupting him came from the 90's cartoon. It single handedly caused the original black suit storyline to be retconned in the comics, cartoons and movies. The symbiote storyline in it's modern form came from a happy series of retcons, followed by a bunch of irrelevant retcons and added lore nobody really cares about, besides die hard comic fans.@@patrickcarnate882
I love how the Symbiote suit looks fleshy and organic. It looks like hes actually covered in the symbiote and not just wearing a black suit. I also love that hes embracing the power of the symbiote by using the tendrils and stuff more. It looks awesome.
I don't like it. The symbiote imitated cloth while on Peter so he would wear it. Further Spiderman and Venom shouldnt use the tentacles or symbiote constructs, that's what makes Carnage special. Spiderman, Venom and Carnage were each highly unique and progressively more alien, but they aren't when portrayed like this or like the Venom films.
You're a legend, my most favourite Spiderman Game from a long long time ago. I felt the nostalgia, watching Peter + Symbiote in action again, especially that aggression he gets🔥

With how aggressive Peter is with the the suit I feel as even they are going to nail it when it comes to wolverine’s rage.. let’s hope it’s rated M that’s the only way to do him justice, maybe we can get a game with both spider-man/wolverine.

I love how they have clearly listened to the fanbase. We asked to be able to stationary launch with two webs like Spider-Man 1, we got it! We wanted gadgets for miles, we got it! We wanted to be able to switch between characters, we got it! So far they’ve aced everything and delivered so much more. A wing suit!? Hell yeah! Look at the speed too! So many new mechanics coming I can’t wait! I’m so excited!

I LOVE that we're swapping off between Peter and Miles seamlessly. It is so much better of an idea than having to interrupt the action with us playing powerless civilians like in the last game. That was the only complaint I had in the first one, and now it looks like it won't be a problem anymore.

Yeah honestly. I kinda wished we could see a comic accurate black suit but this is still good. And they’ll probably have it in the game already. The only thing im not really a fan off is the lizard design. Kinda wished they went with the og comic design. But we didn’t get a great look at him yet. Hopefully this game comes out on ps4
The way Pete simple threw to the floor that one civilian speaks a lot. I love how they are showing Pete's mood while using the black suit. Huge respect for the developers. The tone in his voice, his impatient behaviour... it's all perfect.
@@lolmetyuri The graphics were already top tier. Don't expect a gigantic jump just after a few years. Think of it as an add on because the previous games run on the same engine. You will only truly see a difference in graphics once its released on PC
@@Mr.Coffee576 I personally think the exact opposite. The “bad guy” lines are so cliche and he sounds so strained and unconvincing. He’s honestly just doing the spider cop voice which was played for laughs before. It actually low key annoyed me. Everyone knows the scariest Spider-Man is a quiet Spider-Man with how unquiet he usually is, like that comic where he had pneumonia and couldn’t talk and that alone intimidated a group of criminals into surrender. Plus every 5¢ line you throw in just cheapens the rest. It’s the definition of a vanilla “hero turns evil” characterization.
I love how the symbiote takes over the together at the end implying that the realationship between miles and Peter might be falling apart because of the symbiote.

@@quitting8736 TLDR, it makes Peter more careless and reckless as shown in this gameplay. Regular Peter would make sure the civilian got down safely on his feet and make sure he’s okay, but Symbiote Peter just made both them land on their feet then proceeded to toss buddy to the ground not caring for his well-being.
I like how even when it shows the motto "Be Greater, together" the symbiote is attempting to swarm the 'Together' section, but Miles' electricity stops it. Nice foreshadowing to his role in helping Pete not to by consumed by the symbiote's influence.
Plenty of people have already talked about how great this looks, so I’ll just say this: you can tell these guys get it. They understand the characters & what the fans want and they are working hard to deliver on the promise.
The game looks great but let’s hope they add all the suits from the previous games into this one and all the movies suits to and tasm 2 and og symbiote suit
I am severely disappointed with the web swinging and the combat. It’s almost the same as the previous games but with better graphics. If there is no web strike mechanic from web of shadows, then web of shadows will remain the king of combat in Spider-Man games. Severely disappointed in Insomniac.
Venom will be the final boss... but ofcourse there will be a fight between them before Peter loses the venom suit..... this game is Spiderman 2 not miles Morales....so Peter is always the main character of this game. l
11:24 I love how Peter contemplates whether he should go after The Lizard or save the civilians. Peter without the symbiote wouldn’t have even thought twice. It’s details like this that make me so excited for this game!

@@riot9179 I feel like the plasticky look sort of comes with this approach. Its not going to have the sharp edges and details of the normal suit with its fabric but be more smooth and shiny which is present in the eyes and other areas. It matches how the symbiote moves and functions in the gameplay
The sheer increase in scale with everything like the cinematic moments within the set pieces, the movement speed and strength of the characters is awesome. Can't wait for this game.

It more than just the suit. Base what I can tell from the video. Connors is the only one who has the answers to cure Harry who is dying. If Kraven kills him, Peter loses Harry by proxy. Another person close to him he loses from a sickness just like Anut May. This is super personal. Also it seems like Kraven knows Peter is OG Spider-Man. Since he follow him to Queens where his Aunt use to live. So it possible Kraven knows his secret identity. This means more people he cares about are in danger. Combine this with the black suit and yeah he definitely losing it.

The suit isnt evil is just taking in Peter emotion which is anger and rage it's a baby so it's taking peter emotion as it's own if Peter knew this and control his emotion he would have been more OP with the suit
The attention to detail on Pete is just amazing. He no longer uses quips or makes fun of the situation. He is grumpy, serious and considers everything as a threat.
I love how these Spider-Man games are just as highly anticipated as the movies. Like events, all to follow the overarching narrative happening. Good work Insomniac.
I loved Homecoming but I feel like the games have surpassed the movies for me at this point. They're all really solid though so win/win for Spider-Man fans.
I look forward to these games more than the movies these days for sure. The previous Insomniac Spidey game is currently the pinnacle of Spider content for me. This sequel is looking to top it for sure - as long as the story can come close to the first in quality.
For me, Spider-Man PS4 is up there with Spider-Man 2 and Into the Spider-Verse. It’s not just comparable to the movies, it’s among the very best. So yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to this second chapter waaaaay more than to any Marvel movie right now.
There’s definitely gonna be a fight between them both. For that I’d want to see him almost kill miles and that’s what makes him get rid of venom rather than miles just manage to get rid of him.
Honestly, the sound design isn't talked about enough. Just the sheer force behind those take downs is so satisfying to hear, almost like Spidey's giving them the Batman treatment. Breaking every possible bone in their body

The depiction of Peter with the symbiote is perfect. Miles having his friend fly a drone makes perfect sense, the Lizard looks like a badass, and Kraven is the perfect fit for a venom story.
Wonder what other villains will be in it, wonder if any villains will return from the first, we also know from collectibles that Pete has already fought mysterio and sandman in this universe and Norman's green goblin was definintely teased in the first game

This is probably obvious to everyone, but after watching this a thousand times: I just noticed you can see Peter Swinging alongside miles from 7:37 onwards if you try to follow him on screen
This is amazing! Peter sounds much more aggressive, fights much more aggressive, isn't chatting much with Miles, is still saving civilians but not with the same amount of care as before. The look of the suit is awesome, the powers look awesome, Miles new fighting style is great too!
I love the dynamic of switching between the two characters. I fully expect the final boss to be Peter v Miles and then Venom v Peter and Miles. Looks sick.

I did NOT want that to end. 12 minutes went by like that. What can I say. This was absolutely unreal. Kraven’s design looks sick! The black suit looks very primal and raw and alive. Yuri Lowenthal’s phenomenal voice acting gave me ‘Shocker, I’ll chase you to the ends of the Earth’ vibes. The gameplay, especially the chase sequence had me on edge. The Lizard looks huge and a proper threat. Resident Evil croc vibes. I mean there’s a lot more but I won’t be able to finish. I’m beyond excited for this.
I always love it when Lizard is depicted this way. Not as a supervillain but as a mindless monster who doesn’t know any better. And even with the Symbiote, Peter is still fiercely protective of him. Maybe even more so.
Dunno why would he, symbiote can regen even his head back if he's gonna chop it off, so why bother? This reptile dosen't have any fire or sound to use against him.
I love this! The design of Kraven hits the perfect balance of being comic accurate without being too goofy. Peters attitude and aggression and the way he treats miles. It’s not like he just suddenly doesn’t care, it’s that all his repressed anger and anxiety is being drawn to the surface. I also adore the symbiote design. The fact that it’s more insectoid, making Peter look like he has an exoskeleton. It FEELS alien, and not just like black goo. And the combat and movement! Just so fluid and with impact that you can feel. I can’t wait to play this
Not sure what explanation they’re going with in universe but in the comics Peter only wore it cuz he thought it was a futuristic suit, not a living organism. So when he wore it, it wasn’t slimey or anything like that. That being said, there’s no way he doesn’t know that suit is living lmao.

In the gameplay Peter briefly brings up the fact that Dr Connors is the only one who can save Harry so it's safe to assume they've probably already discussed the symbiote at that point unless Peter is just being left in the dark about it for some reason
I love that Peters anger is OVERT, its little things. Not reaponding to miles like he always does, not being super nice to the civilians and just his general attitude. Love it. Edit: I meant isn't OVERT.
I am actually scared of Peter and I love it! This is probably going to be one of the best Symbiote arcs ever created between the comics, cartoons, movies, and games! Just this dynamic alone I am almost certain we are going to get a Miles vs. Peter boss fight!!!

Yes! I love the big dynamic chases and QTEs in both previous games. Love that they always throw in a huge "save the day" moment, like when you stop the helicopter from crashing in the first game, or when you save the people on the exploding bridge in Miles Morales. I'm very excited to see how they're going to top those nail biter moments in this game.
The way Miles says “He’s never like that” about Peter when he instantly notices how strange Peter is acting gave me chills. I love how well established the bond between both Spider-Men are in this universe and having Miles actively notice something was wrong with Peter automatically cemented this as one of the greatest new Spider-Man dynamics ever. Too bad the comics never explored anything like this when Miles got moved to 616, but I doubt modern Marvel Comics could do it as good as Insomniac anyway.
Considering how Peter is getting the short end of the stick in the comics right now, thank goodness we have this game to look forward to. I read the first 10 issues of Zeb Wells’ run and I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed in a comic book before. The direction he’s taking Peter should be considered a war crime.

I really like Peter's aggressiveness in his voice while wearing the symbiote. Definitely feels like a callback to how he was in the 90s animated show. Can't wait for this game to come out.

They even got the detail of Peter’s web being black right!! I love how Insomniac gets all the small details correct, especially with how breathtakingly gorgeous the scenery is!!!
