But, you know, just because those two did okay doesn't mean everything was smooth sailing for the DCEU. There were still some bumps, like not-so-great reviews and financial hiccups. Then came "Aquaman" and "Wonder Woman," and hey, they did pretty well! People loved 'em. But even with those wins, it's not like they magically erased all the past problems.
I agree with everything except that 1: Moon knight was actually good 2: Hawkeye show was good for what it was. it should've focused more on him then Kate.(tho Kate is pretty well written). Is it as good as infinity war? No. but its a nice grounded story about one of the og avengers :) W video❤🔥
@Majimagaming2001 I actually have read the moon knight comic books and the character is comic book accurate his personality and motivations are the same the suit is start out of the comics and his weapons are the same and power are the same but we haven’t seen most of them yet and I’m pacifically talking about Mark Spector but I do agree if you’re talking about Stephen Grant
Batman has always been better than Marvel that's DC's secret ingredient. But if DC would actually hire the right people they could make a superior cinematic universe.
The Boys was originally made by DC. DC/Vertigo made vol 1 of The Boys before selling the rights to Dynamite. It was later confirmed that The Boys was in the same universe as Preacher, which was also made by DC/Vertigo
SS(James Guns),First Shazam,and Aquaman were clean and great, but I do agree that a Green Lantern,Batman,Flash should've gotten movies before most dcau projects

1:23 RU-vidrs and commenters gotta quit with this nonsense. All three franchises have had a solid amount of effort in their films for the last 25 years. None of their movies bombed because they kept up some quality, and word of mouth, ads, and audience experiences kept them afloat. But if these franchises go the way of the MCU and DCEU in the last five years, they'll definitely bomb just like the MCU and DCEU.
I gave up on DC films after Birds of Prey, so I don't have much hope for the Black Canary one (shame, she's my fave). I'd love it if you looked at the DCAU as well. I look at reviews before watching any of the films cause there's too much of them, and even then some of the ones I saw didn't live up to expectations. I read titles thinking, cool a JSA or LoSH movie, and they turn out to focus on characters like Supergirl or Flash, not the ones the films are meant to be about. I can tolerate divergence from canon ofc, but they go overboard, such as making Mon-El a twist villain instead of, I dunno, using an existing one?
In 2008, they also stuck us with crap (The Spirit) and mediocrity (Punisher: War Zone). This year its a little early to call it (Deadpool and Wolverine has to be amazing, right?). Also, last year we had Spiderverse 2 and Guardians 3 which were brilliant and very good respectively.
I was about to say I loved Guardians 3 and Across the Spiderverse....the story idea for both Ant Man 3 and the Marvels was actually good and made sense but the execution was bad. Which was also the case for all 2022 Marvel movies imo Personally, they should have written in Ronan the Accuser as the villain and had him destroy or almost kill Captain Marvel. And for Ant Man 3, Janet and Hank should have been sacrificed in order to defeat Kang, trapping him but not killing him in the Quantum Realm. Because Kang was a good villain whose threat should have been established, and the role of Carol Danvers in the Kree-Skrull war should have been explored. She's a boring character, so either kill her off....or make her have some development by nearly having her die to Ronan and the Kree as revenge.
So glad you made this video. You're 100% right. I love me some Marvel but their last several projects SUCKED ASS!!! If they want good tv projects, give it back to Netflix. I don't know what they're thinking. If they want people to see their movies they better go back to the original way they made them, and put the secret sauce back into the movies.
No your not I remember there were tons of comedy in the 2000s there were so many different variety of comedy that you could get nower days they're nonexistent or masked over a high budget movie or they just suck

I liked your video, then I took it back because you took too many shots at Aquaman. He is an original member of the Justice League, don't include him in your list of bad DC choices, becuase that wasn't one of them. His movie was also one of the highest grossing movies for DC. Same with the first Wonder Woman, she was an OG JL member, and being part of there big three, it was a good choice to give her a movie early.
While I do think invincible is better than mcu and dceu and maybe the boys too But they are not more popular The mcu still makes a lot more money than these shows combined
If they REALLY wanted to reach out to the younger generation they'd try and reach the anime community. I'm not talking about making everything in a manga art style I'm talking about proper marketing to THAT audience and not treating there characters like a joke. I cannot beguine to tell you how many anime fans I've talked to that really loved X-Men 97 or currently have it on their list of shows they want to watch. Guess what though? Anime takes it's self seriously and cares A LOT about its story and characters. That's WHY they either loved the show or are interested in it. There is a wealth of opportunity that Marvel and DC just don't take advantage of.
Don't disrespect moon night! He's a top hero in the MCU with peak human abilities and can most definitely beat Hawkeye in a 1v1... I ain't watch that garbage show though 😭
Listen I love White Batman as much as the next guy but come on now his show sucked. Most Disney+ shows suck because they are poorly written. X-Men '97 however is really good.
Superhero genre is honestly, to me at least, just in a really bad spot since Endgame made most of us feel like MCU will never be truly the same no matter how good you try to make it while DCEU just kept tripping over itself since it made the bad choice of trying to be like the MCU when it should've been it's own thing which inevitably brought it's own demise upon itself. Also, movie studios need to respect the source material a little bit more, even if they don't think it "suits the audience." at that. Invincible remains pretty decently strong as I'm looking forward to season 3 while the same can be said for The Boys season 5. Superhero genre like DC and Marvel (along with others like Image) remains very strong in the source material that are the comics while having lots of remembered animated movie adaptions (that DC is especially done a lot) and video games (even if not done so in recent years). I think the superhero genre is just a bit burnt out in the movie industries and perhaps either need to take a break or try a different approach to appease more loyal fans.
I grew up loving both Marvel and DC but now i couldn't care less about both of these comic companies. Lets be realistic and honest with ourselves they will NEVER be the same again.
I mean I’m pretty young and didn’t read comics as a kid so for me it’s just going back and reading all the old stuff. But yeah no from what I’ve heard the the recent stuff ain’t good, but I feel like there’s so much old good marvel and dc comics from their entire history that I’ll have fun collecting and reading al that even I don’t check out recent stuff
Ok bro, gotta disagree. Shazam was good, Birds of Prey was fun, THE Suicide Squad is a banger, and Aquaman made over a billion dollars. None of them are trash. ESPECIALLY not Joker. Also can say the same some of the marvel shows. Only few of them were trash or not worth watching. *Cough She-Hulk*
