A big problem is that Blade is a man of action and few words, so having him lecture us on being Woke doesn’t work. To get enough Woke in the movie, they could break the character or move to an even more Woke character.

They already did a great "The Raid inspired" superhero movie with judge Dreed.

Millions and millions of white guys, begging for the return of one of their favorite fictional heros of all time, who happens to be black. God only knows how much money to be made. One of THE all-time coolest, baddest comic book heroes, with no gender or race swapping needed. Well, of course Marvel will ruin it or cancel it.

There is an episode of Blue eye Samurai, that has similar concept with heavy metal music and great visuals. To make it a movie , it would have required a real great action director with his hands untied. Never would have worked, because MCU Feige controls everything, he is the real director, others are just hired hands.

Such an easy, money-making concept - Blade meets John Wick and The Raid. Mid-budget, grounded, fight and stunt focused action film with a supernatural twist that also hints at secret underground societies and deep lore. Eventually lead into a "Sons of Midnight" film bringing the Devil's bounty hunter, Ghost Rider, into the hunt with Blade. Do it right and it's a smash hit. Or...they could make Echo, Agatha, and a Blade movie about 4 female non-Blade characters. It's a shame DeMayo is using identity politics as a shield, Disney least of all fired him because he was black and gay, because the guy is talented, in tune with fans, and knows exactly what people want to see - something Disney's in desperately short supply of right now.

I want do a The Blaid low budget flick. I know a bunch of martial artists and actors, in particular a few experienced stage and film combat guys I'm thinking of. I've got a camera. In fact, I used to be loosely connected to a photography and cinematography studio... hopefully they've still got equipment and software that could be useful. There's a bunch of abandoned office buildings and the like in my hometown. There's a thriving geek and alternative culture around me for consultants, writers, storyboarding, art, music, editing... There's loads of film students locally eager to be part of a production they can put on their CVs who I can get on board for making gallons of coffee. 🤣 There's a catering company that owes me a few favours. All the pieces are there, really! I did promise myself I'd stop neglecting my creative/artistic side this year, too. 🤔

Oh please adding Blade to the MCU was never the goal, killing off Blade and introducing a new female version was and all for the Disney DEI agenda. If anything this whole debacle with Blade just shows the level of incompetence at Marvel Studios or highlights the lack of interest Disney have in expanding the MCU, there was never a need to re-boot Blade or even do another standalone Blade movie, the only thing that was needed was to introduce the supernatural /horror characters to the already established MCU, the easiest way was to use Dr Strange or Wong, either would be fine, and have them uncover some diabolical supernatural plan to invade earth & "supernatural heroes" need to be recruited to battle the evil invaders, having Wong or Strange put together Blade, Ghost Rider, Man-thing & werewolf by night and have them join a group of already established MCU superheroes in battle would've been the best way, but that's too much to ask from simpletons who have no interest in expanding the MCU character roster.
