Marvel champions doesn’t peak until daredevil is added

I'd love to see a Midnight Suns cycle with Blade, Ghost Rider, Nico, etc.

The one thing to keep in mind, at least from what I've heard, is that the designers are always working 2 years ahead, so in theory the Apocalypse box was designed almost 2 yrs ago, so feedback from an expansion takes longer to take effect.

One day, when all the mainstream heroes have been exhausted, I’d love to see an AU take on the game where we get Villains playable and Heroes we fight against. There is just so much other content to get through before we get to that point though

This might be a far fetched idea but I think an Asgard cycle would be really cool and with that we could get a hero version of Loki kinda like they have a Nebula villain and Hero. I think that would be of real interest to people if we got like Heimdall and Loki for a campaign or Loki and Sif or Jane Foster or something.

I agree that Marvel Champions is in a fantastic spot right now and I hope it continues to get better. I will say though that I would love to see a 5 years of Marvel Champions celebration where they briefly change up the formula with a new core set that's a bit bigger than the original core set and shake the game up a bit. I'd love to see a rules book 2.0 with all of the errata's printed in it and it would be cool to see them do something a bit different, like make the 5 playable characters villains/anti-heroes who fight against 3 heroes as the "villains." If they were to do this, I would also love to see them print new identity specific cards for old/underpowered heroes with a rules change saying that you must use 15 identity specific cards but you can mix and match the old and new ones. Some things that come to mind could be like: Uni-Beam (Iron Man/Tony Stark): 2 cost event, Play only if you control 6 or more tech upgrades. Hero Action (attack): Deal 12 damage to an enemy. This attack gains ranged, piercing and overkill. Repair Protocols (Iron Man/Tony Stark): 2 cost tech upgrade, Hero Action: Exhaust this card -> heal 2 damage from Iron Man. I Am Iron Man: 4 cost event, Max 1 per deck. Hero Action: Ready Iron Man and all tech upgrades you control. Witty Retort (Spider-Man/Peter Parker): 1 cost event, Hero Action (thwart): Remove 5 threat from a scheme. The villain attacks you. Annoying Spider (Spider-Man/Peter Parker): 0 cost event, Play only if the villain attacks you during the hero phase. Hero Action (defense): Prevent all damage from this attack and deal damage to the villain equal to the amount of damage that the villain would have dealt to you. Preferred Host (Spider-Man/Peter Parker): 0 cost upgrade, Max 1 per deck. Play only if you control the Symbiote Suit. Spider-Man gains an additional 5 hit points, +1 Thwart, +1 Attack and +1 Defense from the Symbiote Suit card. Spider-Man's basic attacks and attack events gain piercing and overkill while you control the Symbiote Suit.

I m very excited for more Xmen. I was into the game due to xmen and I bought everything. I would also love to see daredevil and elektra.

Some people think that if you're not a shill you must hate a game. Constructive criticism is important and necessary, even when some people can't seem to handle it.

I agree: the game is at a soaring peak right now (minus Deadpool pack). Heroes for Hire and Defenders ought to be next. I want a Gamma set just to fix Hulk, get a few upgrades that only "Hulk" titled characters can use. I also want scenario packs that are versus, 1v1 and 2v2: keep focus on co-op cycles, but experiment with offering competitive game packs. World War Hulk, Civil War, Avengers Versus X-Men... the theme is there for tug-of-war scheme matches with battles thrown in.

I do think those pinning their hopes on Daredevil/Defenders for the next wave should possibly temper their expectations; Fantastic Four feels like the natural next step from the storylines they’re touching on.

I’m really looking for fantastic four stuff!! 2nd thing I’m looking for is defenders content as well… as a Spider-Man fan I’m always down for more spider content as well

I’m not that excited for Age of Apocalypse, but only because I’m not too familiar with those heroes and villains. I’ll be more interested in the other hero packs of the cycle, especially if it includes Beast, Iceman, and/or Nightcrawler. I’d love to see Fantastic Four next with Dr. Doom, Silver Surfer, and Galactus. And revisit some recent MCU characters like Shang Chi, Shuri Black Panther, Namor, Gorr the God Butcher, Lady Thor, Moon Knight, and the High Evolutionary

I do love how this game has created its own little ecosystem. The reddit & discord pages, content creators streams and videos. Everything i listed above is always so postive and genuinely fun to be apart of, it does actually feel like a community. Its made me realise how negative i feel when watching a video game vod or an NBA post and its just full of negative and troll comments, with their shared reddit pages being even worse. Not sure if anyone gets what i mean, but i think it does wear you down being surrounded by constant negativity. I've come to really appreciate this community and I love being apart of it.

I just need me a CLASSIC Eddie Brock Venom pack. I get that and I’m golden. Make it part of a Maximum Carnage block with the expansion containing Cloak and Dagger as the heroes, and Carrion, Demogobs, Shriek, Dopps and Carnage as the villains- follow that up with Venom(Brock Classic Lethal Protector), Iron Fist, Morbius, and Deathlok. Maximum Carnage can SELL. I’m sure Fantastic Four is next though there’s no doubt in my mind which is also very exciting, I love FF. I’m just hoping they squeeze in one more “Spider”/street level block because the last one was so disappointing.

There are still a ton of heroes they can add to the game and board game YT channels are still talking about it. I do think they need to continue to add interesting and innovative mechanics like they did with player side schemes.

Plenty of excitement for Age of Apocalypse but I think a new Hydra Box will be legit. Lots of fun hydra villains and what I hope happens is a survival villain phase. Minions and schemes keep popping out and making it harder each round. Gotta survive for 5 rounds for standard, 7 for expert or something!

My thoughts on Next Evolution vs Mutant Genesis are exactly the same. Tony is clearly a good designer, but his inexperience really showed here. I love the creativity he brought to the table, but there’s just too many rough edges. High highs, but really low lows. Caleb’s experience really goes a long way to making a solid and consistent product.

I wonder if they could keep the game going but switch to DC or Image (spawn). Overpower did that back in the 1990s

For me, it is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. I really don't like most of the newer stuff personally. I enjoy playing the guardians exclusively and things like Deadpool or X-23 just aren't fun to play with in Multiplayer.

I think NeXt Evolution is great when you see what comes out: Side schemes, trait specific resources, Taunt, and Domino basics. The villain left something to be deserved. Overall, I think it’s better than how most people talk about it because they were upset by the campaign.

When I think about it, it's really crazy that there are no big flops with this game (If I have to find something it would be probably GMW box but as you said in other video it's better now and this box was in early development era of MC) and how all of it is achieved with so many expansions and with some designers leaving FFG? I have no idea, but they keep it up, they even get better with time. Big kudos to them.

I've been having trouble getting myself to pick this game back up again (I play solo so it gets a little stale for me and the set-up alone makes me want to do something else) but Moon Knight would single handedly bring me back.

It is impossible for them to run out of heroes. If you're not an avid comic book reader, you truly have no idea how vast the hero (and villain) list truly is. Their challenge will be making each hero continue to feel unique and to develop gimmicks that work well mechanically and thematically.

I do hope we get a revisit to "Gamme" and "Asgard" in some way to improve those cards, but if Apocalypse cycle was the last of MC, I'd be okay. I mean it would be a damn crime without having hero versions of Daredevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider a Marvel Knights/Midnight Suns cycle, etc. but I think what's there is still a good amount. I fell off LOTR LCG, cause it was just too much, and then the did the revamp second edition, and I told myself if I ever want to go back, I have a wealth of content to play. if I had to make a decision point-blank, I'd rather they stop before they "jumped the shark" with the game.

I'm hoping for some theme around Daredevil/Punisher/Electra with Villain being Kingpin/The Hand, or a Fantastic Four vs Dr. Doom, or even a space faring set with Beta Ray Bill, Silver Surfer, Gladiator, former Heralds of Galactus. Also I think about great Marvel storylines like War of Kings or Annihilation Wave. Just getting into this game over the past month, there are so many characters that could be used.

What I'm hoping for is a new villain pack. We didn't have one this cycle, but I'm hoping one for next. My wish would be Onslaught, but I know it's probably not going to happen. I'll take anything that's interesting and fun to be honest.

I have to very strongly disagree, imo NeXT is the best cycle since a loong time and has brought me back to the game playing more often, Mutant Genesis was worst since GMW, Kelly reminds me of Ronan (not difficulty but enjoyment), I’m probably not gonna return to those villains anytime soon.

I’m exited for Age of Apocalypse, if only cause I’m a huge Bishop fan and I’m exited for his hero (even though the art is TRASH. After Apoc I’m excited for defenders and hopefully revisiting Web Warriors and Spider-Man 2099.

I strongly feel the game will benefit from a re-release of heroes like Hulk. I have heard they arent interested in doing that, but i can foresee, as a grand finale wrap up to the game - Hulk. But smashier.

I got a question. Do you think that they will make upgrade cards for older heroes? Make older heroes a little more powerful or would that wreck the game?

I hope they're getting closer to being done with this mutant cycle. None of the boxes or hero sets makes me want to go out and add them to my collection. If anything, I'd get them for the new aspect cards, but that's a stretch. I've shelved my collection and have moved on to other games. It's going to take something big like Daredevil to get me back into MC

Do you think they are changing some of the media handling due to the SW Unlimited stuff they are doing?
