Regarding the first hour or so: I do say near the start of my video that I've only played Cable at 1 and 2 player so far and that's what my video focuses on. My video was never trying to be a critical analysis of how he plays at 3-4 player because I don't have that experience yet. I point this out because, at the start of this response, it sounds to me like you were hoping for a video about Cable in 2-4 player but it is instead a video about Cable in 1-2 player. Since you have only played 4-5 games with Cable, I assume that means most of those games you've played have been in the campaign which heavily favors him with additional side schemes to trigger things from and enables stronger starts in general alongside them. If it's 4-5 games with Cable, does that also mean only 4-5 games with player side schemes in general? No doubt that Cable brings massive value to player side schemes with his precision but any hero can bring 2-3 right now and they can still get a ton of value - a group of 4 all bringing at least one side scheme each is extremely likely to find a good one early (as we have in 2-player!). Regarding the alter-ego ability I wanted, it wasn't something I wanted Cable to have in terms of power, I just think a lot of heroes have very bland alter-egos after Turn 1 (though Professor is nice). If he was to gain something to use in alter-ego then the rest of his kit would of course have to be balanced around it. Black Widow from Call for Backup is a great shout though! I do mention her later as being good for Cable at least...! Hopefully you hear that part haha. Also, you cut away at Take Out The Guards but I go on to say I think it's great tech against certain scenarios. Just getting into the nemesis set and will have to resume later but, while I don't say this in the video, I disagree with liking his nemesis as a balancing factor on the basis that this set is very swingy. Sometimes it hits you and you shrug Stryfe off via Plasma Rifle mostly, grab your +1 Graymalkin ready from the side scheme, and never even hit the treachery cards - but other times it just ends games because you had no way to draw Temporal Feedback before Mind Scan ended your game. There's always RNG in card games but Champions rarely ever hits you with a checkmate like this.

I'm a Huge fan of your decks, and Loved your tier list video. Colossus is my boy and...I couldn't be mad at his placement. But Cables I really do disagree with you on. Is he S tier? I don't personal think so, but most definitely stronger than Colossus is. I'd place him mid to low A tier. Would love for you to re-visit after some more time. Already subbed to your channel, keep up the great work!
Thanks! And I did rate Cable higher than Colossus in my own tier list - not sure what's been said in the video here but I put Colossus in C tier and I've put Cable in my B tier. Definitely plan to revisit him though. Especially once we have all the player side schemes this wave - it's going to fascinating to see if we get new player side schemes in the next wave and, if so, how many.
@@VillainTheory Sorry! You're quite right. It was another *Insert RU-vidr* who said he didn't seem as strong and placed him low B. But their list had 5 tiers above B! I think once we start adding too many S+ A+ etc your B starts to look a lot like a D... I've played a fair bit of your Justice Cable deck and so far so good! In true solo he almost feels "too thwarty"? I've had no threat left, 5 side schemes in the VP and only thwarting cards to play. But in 2 player? Oh boy. It almost feels like Cable, Storm (maybe others) need a separate category of stars awarded for the support they give in multi. I know you have a spreadsheet with total points awarded! 🤣This is why you're my favourite.
@@JoeldinI think this is probably referring to my list and if not I do think it applies to my list. I think this is a very fair comment and has made me think on a few things: My list needs some pretty major TLC and I owe a video to do some reranking/redistribution of heroes. Because I am doing these one at a time I think my perception gets warped and it gets a bit nebulous on what a "A" Tier hero actually is. As I have done more and more of these I think I have a better understanding of the categories, so while I do think Cable is a B tier hero I do not think that he is worse than SpiderMan/Phoenix/Colossus etc. but my young naïve self ranked those a year ago and I just need to spend some time "fixing" it The other unintended consequence that I never thought about until this comment is the way that I am ranking these heroes (one at a time with the community voting on who I do next) leads to some skewed perceptions on the relative power. What I have noticed is that the community has voted on wanting to see the more powerful heroes first which means anyone lower on the current list looks like they are "bad" When really most of the heroes that have not made it on the list yet are those who will populate the lower half of the bracket. Not 100% sure how to approach that because I do think it is misleading... Thank you for the comment (and again if it isn't about mine I probably sound like a self centered person now lol) it has really made me start thinking and realizing I need to prioritize a video of a re distribution/explanation!
