I'm surprised she isnt a wonder woman level character in terms of popularity. It seems Marvel doesn't know what to do with its female characters that aren't x-men.
I think it's partially branding, to be honest. The name "She-hulk" doesn't give the impression that she's her own character. It just comes off as "This is the female version of the strong green dude"
Yeah even with the conformation of the She Hulk series, lots of people were saying “why make a female version of hulk”. Too bad she’s underrated but she is in a lot of animated marvel shows.
Well when it comes to this new series we got lucky to get the original She hulk because they were going to give us that big ugly version of her that was created for political bulshit. But we dodged a bullet on that one so far....
In season 3 of daredevil that would be great!and then hulk comes as Bruce banner and the origin of she hulk happens and they battle that guy on AOS That screams a lot!
She-Hulk is my favourite female character. Seriously, she's so nice and cool, I wonder why they haven't done it yet.... Everytime a new season of Daredevil comes out, I'm hoping for at least a Jennifer Walters cameo, but nothing... I'm sad...
How cool would it be if Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters were in two opposing sides in court. Like Murdock is defending a criminal whose actually framed, which he knows he's innocent based on his super senses, whilst Walters does not know this so she goes against that criminal in court.
One of my absolute favorite characters in marvel. I love how you dont have to force humor onto her character, shes already one of the most genuinely funny characters
She-Hulk is my favorite superhero. Her self-confidence and ability to love herself no matter her outward appearance has always inspired me to do the same.
I was first introduced to She hulk when I was a little kid, my dad had old VHS tapes of an incredible hulk cartoon from 1981, Jen was in an episode. Ever since then, I have been in love with her and she has always been my favorite hero ever. Thank you for a beautiful and well made video! I am so happy that Jen is doing better now with A-Force, since she has kind of gotten the short end of the stick in regards to her solo series. I have been following it since before the reboots, and I am so happy where it is going currently. So good! Also, unless there is official news, the reports of a Shulkie Netflix series was from an April Fool's day joke from 2 months ago :( my heart is broken..
She-Hulk has always been too "normal" to ever be a solo character long term. She gets a good story, its told, and then she goes on with her life. It makes her a very pleasant treat taken from time to time.
She Hulk's is one of my favorite characters. I love when characters have a sense of personality to their books and she's a neat character to see show up in other titles.
Definitely my favorite female super hero. Her personality is what resonates with me. Cool, confident, but not without her faults. Definitely not afraid to express herself, even while in battle. Overall, she's true to herself and has a heart for others. My kind of hero.
Maybe not from the very beginning......I mean they had to test the water...right?... But yet now I think the world is ready for a She-Hulk in the MCU. The question is though how will they bring it to the big screen..... Will they go full CG just like the hulk..... Or will they just go with make up and creative camera tricks..... Kind of like what they did in the hobbit.
Freddy Turner I don't think they will do it. Jennifer's best traits have been taken by other superhero live action properties. Daredevil is the superhero lawyer (although he doesn't deal with superhuman law as far as I know). Deadpool released with him breaking the 4th wall. Captain Marvel will have the feminist angle covered and the physical strength for a female character. They even gave her best friend Patsy Walker to Jessica Jones. I don't see why the MCU would add her other than fan service at this point. This is why I say they should have introduced her a long time ago.
+Bat Bapeck yeah but she's also one of the few out-of-the-closet heros, like Iron Man, but often operates at street level heroism as well. And an MCU character hasn't really broken the 4th wall yet, as Deadpool is still technically Fox-owned. (For Now, hwahaha!!!) And having her do it, Frank Underwood-style, would be awesome! Gawd, who could play her? But yeah, a helluva lot of her characteristics are already in Jessica Jones.
Cannibal_Soup I'm saying the mainstream will accuse She-Hulk of stealing the 4th wall breakage from Deadpool when she did it first (and better imo). It's the same reason I am against the DCEU using Red Hood to avoid comparisons with the winter solider. I guess her not having a secret identity but be street level would be different but it isn't like Jessica or Cage are exactly hiding but they wouldn't draw as much attention as a perpertually 7 foot tall green woman.
***** Does it really matter though? Why have her in LA and not let her interact with other Marvel characters? Obviously it was her place in her first run but since then she has moved to new york like the majority of marvel heroes and honestly there isn't really anything all that special about L.A. that warrants it being another location.
She-Hulk is one of my favorite characters. I like how she became something more(like Ms. Marvel) than just a female clone of Hulk; that she was a lawyer and she had control over her Hulk transformations and was aware. To me that's quite striking, considering that it would have been especially easy for the latter aspect to have been a part of Banner(which I believe it has), but to put it on She-hulk; what a great decision. I also love how she was on the Fantastic Four. Those were easily some of John Bryne's best work.
Man... It was so cool that I was apart of the making of this video. Although a small accomplishment but comicsexplained always take me to my happy place by helping me relate to stories and characters on a personal level and have a deeper understanding of them and myself. So the fact that I got to do this is something that I cross off my bucket list. When I'm down or just need an ego boost I just take a look at this video. I was totally unaware that She-Hulk started out as a reaction to the Hulk TV. show. I am also surprised that She-Hulk was not made a bigger character role desides a suportive character. That does surprise me.
I think it would've been important to mention during the "Doc Green" event for Hulk, that She-Hulk/Jennifer was the only one who did not get her Hulk abilities taken away. That she was the only one whom Doc Green trusted to retain her powers.
Personally, I've always liked Shulky. Like Scott Lang, I think it was great for her becoming a member of various teams and actually forming close bonds with them.

I bought She-Hulk #1 Law and Disorder just a few days ago and at first I was kind of upset because of the art style, since the cover looked all different, but after reading a while I began to love it and now I just watched your video! But that's not what my comment is about: I'd like to know, if you could provide Info about the pictures you take for your videos like from which comic series and volume they come. There have been several images which raised my interest and since I'm in a comic buying rage lately, I'd love to get some more She Hulk :D

A-Force is one of the few books that I actually subscribe to. Nico, Dazzler and She Hulk are some of my favorite characters so having them in the same title is such a treat.
I like She-Hulk. I like how they integrated her into many different titles. I get the feeling that she's always there when Earth needs her. She's smart, strong, and capable, so when she shows up, it's usually a good sign for her fellow super heroes.

I have always like She-hulk. when they did the HULK cartoon in the 90's and then created her, i thought, even though she was a cartoon, that she was beautifully drawn and have a wondrous attitude and appearance.

I like her stories .. they are usuaky pretty deep and always entertaining. She is a character who is not just a super hero she is a succdsful lawer which is veey hectic on its own. Thw qriters often dont shy away from that like they do in Daredevil.
I love She Hulk so much. A friend of mine convinced me to buy Brian Slott's run and it was the most fun I have had reading a comic...ever. Then again, I was DC all the way before that and the amount of joy in Marvel took me by surprise. Still, she is great.

I re-watched this because i'm 80% sure that Jennifer is going to transform into a different iteration of her She-Hulk form in her new series since she is in such a devastated state.

I look forward to seeing some cool but serious representation of She-Hulk. Angie Harmon told Conan a long while back that she would love to play She-Hulk if the opportunity ever came up.
