Wonder Man wore this George Perez designed uniform during his main Avengers membership long before West Coast Avengers. He did return to this look during the Mighty Avengers run.
I really appreciate the honest solid review and the added background character bio. Sets you apart from the rest. Also like how you maximize the playability ideas with added accessories and awesome pics
Hopefully we get more Serpent Society members in the future, such as Diamondback to go with Captain America, Sidewinder, or even Slither, complete with a bendy wire in the neck.
I was also thinking of a Constrictor remake with bendy wire coils, as well as a re-release of Cottonmouth with an alternate head showcasing his large bio-mechanical jaws.
@@Xmanny87 When I look at a WWE Nia Jax I see the potential for an Anaconda figure. I’ve actually seen that figure used as a base for Anaconda customs. If Hasbro can do elongated, bendy arms for Mr. Fantastic they can do them for Anaconda . . . if we’re lucky. The issue is the tooling. Not to many parts on Anaconda have a potential for reuse. She’d have to be almost entirely all new sculpt, especially in the torso. If they’re brave (I doubt it) there’s no reason her powered down arms and legs can’t be reused from a male, say Hyperion buck. Death Adder is too easy on the pizza Spidey body. Black Mamba and Asp are easy. Sidewinder uses many parts from King Cobra . . . Someone should come packed with an alt open mouthed head for Cottonmouth.
Those promo pics did Strucker dirty. I love how he looks in person and he’s a must-have for my Villains shelf! Would love the Von Strucker/Fenris Twins and a new Nick Fury Sr. on the Vulcan body too!
I just realized since you have the Extremis Iron Man and Iron Spider you can possibly remake the super hero team who were part of the Registration act in the Civil War comic.
I genuinely feel like they released the Yelena knowing that the new Black Widow buck was coming so they could milk money out of two figures when they could have just dropped the Yelena head in with the new BW fig

Classic Wonderman was always my favorite comic version. Granted this wave has its hits and misses but what wave doesn't anymore. Altogether though we get new figures never made before.✌🏻✌🏻
I already got my Ultimate Cap and the Orb figures from this wave early from Amazon and I don't even have the rest, But I am planning to get Safari Jacket Wonder Man because I do really like the Hollywood style costume, Awesome review on the whole Puff Adder wave Manny.
Awesome review! Love the Pros and Cons breakdown at the end. Maybe it's just me, but is something off with Molecule Man's torso? I'm not a big fan of the head sculpt, but I really can't get over how odd his upper body looks. His chest is so flat and his back-bend is so extreme compared to his ab crunch, that it almost looks like it's flipped around and his front is his back, etc.

I dremeled out plastic from the lower torso to allow for better ab crunch and did some panel lining and repainting on the Extremis Iron Man and now I love this figure so much more, this is my new favorite Iron Man figure
I'm excited to get a few figures from this wave. Molecule Man, Baron Strucker, Yelena, and Puff Adder. Funny I had the same thoughts about Yelena being an extra head in the new "super articulated" Back Widow (I'll believe it when I see it). Strucker's arms are retooled UK arms. The forearms have a cut like Vulcan's, but I assure you the arms are different. Wonder Man's jacket doesn't have a zipper in the comics. The side artwork on the box shows it as a button up.
Ultimate Cap is cool, not the biggest Ultimate fan but it's still cool to get them. Iron man I love, him being smaller than previous iron mans but still bigger than the old extremis is okay to me because of the way the extremis armor works, it's supposed to be a much more streamlined suit. Strucker is really cool. Could use more accessories but can't say anything else to improve him. The Orb is cool! I still don't mind the bucky cap body on characters like him. Gotta get a bike and a biker gang to go with him. Yelena is okay, not my preferred look for the character though.. Wonder man is in my most wanted costume, he's going with my classic Avengers! I do wish he was more posable but I'm still happy with him. Molecule man is by far my least favorite of the wave. He's based on a more modern design, I'd so much more prefer a classic looking uglier Molecule man. He also needed better accessories. But my biggest problem with him by far is how giant he is! Molecule man is only 5'7" usually! He shouldn't be taller than any of the fantastic four.. he's a very insecure tiny guy.. Puff Adder I like too. It's crazy that he's only the second ever usage of the caliban body. I do wish there was a black outline on his logo to make the greens not blend together so much. That's my only issue.
The ultimate cap gives me vibes for earth mighty heroes avengers feel. Maybe a ultimates waves would be nice to see and re do cap with some camo paints like the comic and fix the joints on the figures Baf could be giant man just a thought…great review
They hindered Cap’s diaphragm joint for no necessary reason. A little dremmeling and he has better range then any Hasbro Spider-Man. And after giving it some paint it’s my figure of the year and probably will stay that way.
I'm excited mostly for Molecule Man and Baron Von Strucker, since I'm collecting villain figures at the moment, so they'll make nice additions. Not sure I'll be considering Orb though.
Fantastic review Xmanny. This wave appears to have something for everyone in it. Cap looks like it could be the best one yet. I am happy to finally get Molecule Man in ML form. That character has been desperate to jump into the ML catalogue for years. Wondy in his jacket is finally here! A much desired variant, I hope Hasbro don't ignore the character for another 10 years. I would love the OG green suit. Do you think Haslab will try to go "Ultimates" ? Hmmmmmmm
I think they’ll go classic since we’re mainly getting classic Avengers this year but what if it’s a giant 2 pack as the main offer? Just got me thinking. Also, I do need that OG green suit Wonder Man to go with my Masters Of Evil.
Anyone outside Hank Pym wouldn’t work. I think it would completely mess up the Pym rotation. I feel like it should just be all of Pym’s personas. Classic & Ultimate Giant-Man as a 2 pack for the main offering would be awesome! I would set the tiers as Hank Pym with a lab coat, Yellow Jacket and a 12-14 inch Goliath (blue/yellow). That’s just my dream set up. Maybe Pym as Ultron for an early bird special.
Ultimate Cap is objectively a great fig (TOP 10 for sure) although I don't like the design. Still prefer 20th anniversary. Comic BAF is really lackluster so far this year. Great vid, and enjoy your vacation!
Thanks bro! I like 20th too but this has a lot more going on than that figure because of the all new sculpt. I always loved this look as it made him look more militant. More like a soldier. But that’s just me.
It does but some aesthetics didn’t translate well over to figure form. For instance, the gaps on the legs doesn’t fit the aesthetics as it’s not filled in. Looks like his legs are hanging and about to fall off. At least the hips on the old one (while articulation didn’t work well) it was filled in that area.
Man i need more ultimate figure !!! I really like the designs even if the writing is bad or the characters are complete assholes the designs are awesome also hope we get a super articulated new teen buck for ultimate spidey and a miles
My intention is this will be my last legends full wave until Hasbro turns things around. I’ll not say never ever but I’m mostly for puff adder since I’ve a soft spot for serpent society and like most of the looks of the characters with BAF.
The Serpent Society will look so good together if they can complete the team. I want a Diamondback so bad and Anaconda would make for a cool BAF if they can somehow make her with bendy wired arms.
13:50 it's actually not Vulcan arms or legs, it's newly retooled spidey UK buck, updated pinless. Vulcan arms much longer and buffer, these are oddly shaped.
I said it was like the Fang figure that’s spider UK retooled for pinless. But the arms aren’t Vulcan apparently as the cut on the arms threw me off. So I’m wrong on the arms. Not the legs. Also, relax with your caps. I can read the word “not” just fine. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I’m not perfect. I’m human and make errors. I stand corrected.

It came down to articulation for me. Wonder Man is so stiff and not fun to pose. I actually had fun posing with Orb and adding a bike with him gives him more play value. Also Orb has more paint apps. Where wonder man only had a zipper painted. These are things I factored in when rating.

Lucky me i grabbed my coffee😉😎👊I actually like most of these figures. Even Yelena Belova...and the foaming Cap 🤣🤣🤣 Iron Man is lackluster. Strucker is awesome. Moleculeman is meh.... 😒 Wonderman has no effect on me. There is nothing wonderfull in that one. The BAF is ... a hollow plastic.
Really? Wow. Such a classic team. For me, I have a special love and appreciation for them being a huge Cap fan. In hand, I just in no way can say the Bucky cap is more enjoyable than this BAF mold. I’m enjoying this BAF and is visually more appealing to me with the rest of the team. But that’s just me. 😎👍🏽
@Xmanny87 lol why do I have to relax? I'm just pointing something out that you should know. If you read them then you would know he's not "a man in a suit of armor." The ish is literally his second skin. Anyway, good stuff otherwise. I can honestly say I didn't like Cap at all until The Ultimates.
This is such a meh wave. Strucker is awesome (though it would have been cool to get a sword and alt hand with him) Extermis Iron Man and Molecule Man are so disappointing IMO. Owen Reece is way too big and powerful looking (he's a nerdy momma's boy) The Extremis Iron Man does not do the best Iron Man story ever told justice. Somehow Puff Adder has glossy paint and none is given to Iron Man's red armor? It cost about $200 to get this wave and the value just isn't there. I see the exact same issues with the new X-Men wave and am actually going to wait for it to get clearenced out. This line is trending down surprisingly quickly. On a side note, my Molecule Man did not come with closed fists and those lame energy effects but rather an Alt Cap head and Puff Adder head.
