ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I think those are two different super skrulls, not the same dude. In the Secret Invasion storyline, there were like dozens (hundreds?) of different super skrulls running around, emulating hero and villain powers.

They were all called "super skrulls" which did actually bug me, lol. There was a side comic with the og Skrull Kl'rt that was okay. Bug yeah, it was a bit confusing lol!

Those two skrulls are different characters. The DS figure is the skrull that was disguised as Black Bolt and fought the Illuminati before the invasion. The ML figure is one of the skrulls who invaded New York and fought the Young Avengers.

Personally I like this set and I might pick it up. I don't have a spider woman in the collection, and I've been looking for a super skrull that has features of a bunch of the avengers so I'm kinda excited.

The marvel legends version is the Illuminati Super Skrull who has all the powers of the Illuminati and was part of the invading force during the invasion of earth, the marvel select version is Blackagar Boltagon Skrull who infiltrated the inhuman royal family. He was sent to replace Black Bolt

This isn't THE Super Skrull (aka Kl'rt, the one who appears in Marvel vs Capcom 3) it's just A Super Skrull. Kl'rt actually tried to stop the rest of the Skrulls from Invading, which is presumably why they made some replacement Super Skrulls to pick up his slack.

I missed the original release of Spider Woman so when I got this set last week for over half off I was happy with the set just to get me one step closer to completing my New Avengers, but I can completely understand all the people who skipped this set.

This, it's just an excuse to de-beautyfy the female body type. has 0 to do with it's a kids toyline. (which I doubt to be honest, I've never seen a kid with a Marvel Legends toy, ever, all collector's 16 and up)

Not really. Lyja had the 90s head wrap like Gambit and Havok. And a ponytail. It might work for casual Lyja, but I don’t think her main costume has changed that much since then? Maybe a quick kitbash with that head on Guardians1 Gamora body? Still needs her shoulder pads, tho.

Marvel Select has bad hip articulation, that's my only gripe. Still it sculpt is better and more big budget. I'm getting the 2 repaints this week and gonna cost me 92 euro's (95 usd) + 7 euro shipping. The things I do for decent boobage.

The Super Skrull's legs are too short for that body. Or seem to be to my eyes. Great head sculpt but that Neck does stand out too much. Canceled my Pre Order on this a while ago.

(Seemingly) Hot Take: I think this new upper torso is MUCH better than the old upper torso. Just like Shartimus said, the superior articulation in the neck joint is much appreciated, ESPECIALLY for a flying character like Jess But even from a detail and accuracy standpoint the new upper torso is way better. I love the way they sculpted the fabric stretching over the chest. The whole “boob sock” look of the old torso is silly and it’s not how human bodies work lol. I’ll always take sculpted detail over a lifeless sculpt without detail

Nah, McFarlane Multiverse is way worse. Yeah you get original sculpts, but so what? The articulation is atrocious (more like movable statues really), the proportions are a joke, and there is zero consistency in terms of how the figures scale with one another.
