Marvel Melee: Fighting Game Concept (Characters, Story, and Mechanics) 

As long as it’s not only avengers and MCU characters I’m ok

A Taskmaster with a mechanic that can somehow duplicate the enemy’s abilities would be interesting. If not, make him a mixup monster who is extremely unpredictable with combos from different characters in the game.

Honestly I love to see Emma Frost , her gameplay would be interesting to use in this sort of game because of her duality nature of her powers between her telepathy and her diamond form

Rocket and Groot as one character would be amazing to play as. Imagine Groot's jab as him elongating his tree arms then comboing it with Rocket shooting his weapon at you while on Groot's shoulder like in GoTG1

As long as we have Wolverine and Storm in it, I’m all in.

Underrated pick. But I’d love to see Slapstick in a fighting game like this. Sure he’s one of the more obscure characters in Marvel but that doesn’t stop him from working like Peacock did in Skullgirls.

The two Civil Wars could also work. They aren't the best stories but they easily explain why all these different characters are fighting each other. The Secret Wars could work too and reveal that not all of the fights are with the actual characters but with Skrulls in disguise which is how the story ends

As a kid my favorite game was marvel nemesis rise of the imperfects, i think if they reimagined that game and just modernized it, it would be a hit.

I would definitely love to see some Inhumans. I think the royal family needs more spotlight in many ways. Heroes, Villains and Anti-Heroes that kinda get looked over or have possibly appeared in one game and then never seen again in playable form.

My pitch would be a Neatherealm fighting game based off of the Annihilation storyline, get a ton of space themed Heroes and Villians like Starlord, Venom, Thor, etc. We still get to use characters like Thanos and maybe Doom but also throw out some obscure fan favorites like Beta Ray Bill. Plus it would be very different from Injustice and MK, instead of destroyed cities and accent temples, we get unique planets, astroids, spaceships. I think it would be a good change of pace for Marvel/Neatherealm.

I think Moon Knight, Deadpool, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the High Evolutionary, and Howard the Duck would be cool for a potential Marvel fighting game

Personally I would want gambit or daredevil, and if it ever could happen they would really need the character interactions before fights because it would work really well with some marvel characters especially Deadpool who i would want the most because the 4th wall breaks would be insane!

I feel Disney would try to delve their hand into the project a lot, which can cause some headaches. Like Marvel vs Capcom infinite. So the core avengers would have to be present at launch, so your Iron man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and maybe a Hawkeye. And I feel they'd even get involved artistically, making the character models and designs have to be reflective of their big screen counterparts.

Above all else, I want a Spider-Man that's actually fun to play. Outside that, my dream roster would include Deadpool, Legion (whose gimmick is that he can switch powers and personalities mid-match), Doctor Bong, a comics accurate Green Goblin, Sentry/Void, and the original Sinister Six lineup (minus Vulture).

I think that the bare minimum of characters that need to be in a Marvel fighting game are Spider-Man, Wolverine, Magneto, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, Star-Lord, a member of the Fantastic Four, and Dr. Strange. Without them, the game will feel incomplete. That being said, I just want Carnage.

Marvel vs Capcom 2’a art style was perfect for a fighting game. The more realistic they make comic book characters look in games the worse they come out. I feel like Netherrealm can do something like a Civil War of their own. The comic did have villains on both sides (I believe) and then I guess you can have background villains in the end (or as dlc).

I think some DLC packs would be very effective with filling pit a roster without having a massive roster from the start. Something like 4 characters each. Something like a Guardians Pack with Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, and Groot + Rocket (Ferra Torr style) or a Defenders pack with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. And maybe just a broader, not a set team, style pack with something such as a “Mutant Villian pack” with like Toad, Juggernaut, Lady Deathstrike, and Omega Red

the ONE thing i have always wanted out of a side scrolling fighting game is team fights and i dont mean "hey bro tag me in" i mean all four fighter on screen at once fighting and it IS doable. street fighter 6 came close by allowing your masters to fight alongside you in world tour mode. it can be done. just give players a button to switch their target if they have an opponent behind them and boom you have a 2on2 fighting side scroller. i know it sounds weird and unusual but i like fighting games where multiple players are all fighting at once. it feels more immersive and chaotic to me

I think rather than Thanos and Doctor Doom, I’d like to see Dormammu and Thanos. Doctor Doom has heroic tendencies, so him teaming up with the heroes to defeat Dormammu and Thanos would make more sense. Also, give Dormammu some love!

YO! Really sick video and dope channel dude! I would love to see another stand alone marvel fighting game again! It's been long overdue now especially after the success of the MCU. Always wanted Capcom to make like a "Marvel Super Heroes 2" or "X-men Children of the Atom 2" before we got another Marvel vs Capcom to prove everyone of being able to do it again (since MVCI wasn't well received) and have a chance to show their old and new catalogue of fighters. Then have that lead up to MvC4 If Capcom were to make the game I would love to see them give it the Street Fighter 6 treatment with open world, stage transition like in the old arcade games, and even use their SF6 modern controls for casual or newcomer players. Maybe even have Ryu or Akuma be a guest characters like in X-men COTA. If NRS makes the game I would love to see Scorpion, Sub Zero or even Johnny cage as a guest like how the ninjas and Raiden got to be guests in Injustice 3. Great vid dude! While the idea of NRS doing a Marvel game could be and is interesting, it just feels weird to have someone that ain’t Capcom doing a Marvel fighting game, since that’s the second main fighting game series that they known for.

Top 5 characters? Hmmm Omega Red Prowler Spider Gwen Yukio Steel Serpent Supers? Each character should have 3 supers 1 for each bar. However depending on the team lineup you can perform a duo super or a 3 man ultra, but the teammates must be compatible. For example Captain America and Bucky on the same team can perform a duo super, but if the third member is Scarlet Witch, the 3 man ultra attack won't be available, if the third man is Falcon then it wound be available.

In a Marvel fighting game, I would think that it should contain Spider-Man avengers fantastic four X-Men Invented magneto, green goblin, electro doctor octopus Loki and that’s it and also I think you’re a story idea is actually pretty good, so I’m gonna stick to your story and the whooping or the thing that can either control or destroy the universe. I think it should be. Let’s see here it’s somewhere in Mars. That’s where I would say it is and it would be pretty interesting, but they will need to go to space so I’m going to keep it at earth I’m jackets self. I’m thinking of a sword which has a red stone in the middle of it once you push it down on the ground below you and either two things can happen either if your motivation is to take over the world, then that happens but if your motivation is to destroy the world that happens, and I think there should be five endings, the first ending is where Thanos wins, and he will destroys the world. The second ending is where Dr. doom controls the world and what are the other three endings the other is Thanos dies and the avengers but also the sword with the stone, so do you only real winner is nobody and the other is reversed, Dr. doom dies with the avengers and others. and Thanos does it win with the stone destroyed. Well I’m gonna call it a gem. Actually it’s the reality stone. And there’s only one good ending where the avengers x-Men fantastic four Spider-Man win and live in. That is the second good ending and the actual true ending is what you said Dr. doom Thanos realize that the reality stone can somehow go through other dimensions. Don’t ask me and so they go in. This is the canon, true ending and most likely introducing the multi-verse the heroes aren’t that so worried, but also worried at the same time like kind of a medium worried because first of all they don’t know the universe is so they can either be weak or strong, either good intentions or bad intentions, in the second game there’s some thing that I should say you can either take to pass go for Dr. doom or go for Thanos. If you go for Thanos he will most likely kill you because that universe is already gone well because there’s only Spider-Man there Yep it’s a universe wars. Only Spider-Man is there with bad intentions no other superhero exist besides him or a villain in Thanos destroys it and probably you will as well. Well you get destroyed and Dr. doom is the correct choice because well he’s trying to take over not kill so he will be holding back much more, not that much, but it isn’t so much, anyways you’ll be playing a Spider-Man wolverine and Captain America and that’s it and most likely you win in the universe of that is called a hope this universe isn’t use the ready, but it is called oh yeah, I forgot about ghost Rider. He’s a hero and the universe is called.172730363632527 that’s the universe that they’re going in. It’s a universe where the avengers X-Men and fantastic four are in one big, super keen, which actually makes them stronger than I would universe fighting characters and when they first meet, you will have to fight them, but to make them different. They have different suits for their team and you fight them until, you explain to them what’s happening so when you have reinforcements Dr. doom is almost taken down but escapes to another universe the same universe that Thanos is about to destroy. This is about a Quarter way through the game and Thanos absolutely demolishes everybody but that universe remember that yeah they have a solid chance of picking Thanos down and they have better techniques and well better fighting skills with each other because they’re in the same team, but they give them one big weakness, and then use almost the exact same techniques. Well, everybody, except Spider-Man in the universe is kind of more of a alone fighter even ghost riders in the team, but Spider-Man is more like a once a week time thing so they battle and Thanos kills Dr. doom by accident and there’s sent to another universe and it’s called help. Nobody also has this but it is.99999999999993426384901626374035363026363 and they find in the universe and the universe is a universe where only Spider-Man exist. It isn’t like the last one, but there’s more Spider-Man there’s about 16 Spider-Man and they have good intentions, and that would be the end of the game we have about 18 Spider-Man in just two games, and that’s it. That’s the second game it’s more of a shorter one but it’s good.

On a Netherrealm helmed Marvel fighting game, I would point to the Lego series. They’ve done both Marvel and DC games and maintain a good relationship with both.

I would actually love a 2 game deal with Capcom and NetherRealm Studios. I want a MarvelXDC made in the Style of MvC2 and a DCVsMaevel game made in the style of Injustice.

My top 5 would be: Deadpool- Not only would he be a really fun character, there’s also character interactions. I think a cool stage would be on top a building in ny as you see the sinister six attacking buildings, helicopters, spiderman, etc. Then you could get a stage transition where vulture snags you or electro strikes you down to the ground where you change scenery and fight street level with other villains in the background

I don't like the tag team mode because only one person can be playing at a time, instead I think a 2v2 mode would be better so basically you and your friend can que up to find a match against another dou where everyone would be playing at the same time on the same screen.

I'd love for it to be about the entire marvel universe based on the comics & cartoons as your favorite superhero or villain as story mode with henchmen in 1 mode & a team battle mode with various modes so that the franchise never-end & never stop I was thinking of a battle mode with the grand master in a arena like tournament 1 on 1 or even 4 on 4

This title sounds awesome and we do have too many Marvel app games. Ultimate Alliance was awesome and the Spider-Man games are killing it. Versus and Arcade would let you choose, and Online will let players decide if they want to use 1v1 or 2v2 in their lobbies. There would also be "Marvel Pound for Pound" (Tournament) and Ranked matches. The game would be fun and great to see people mix and match characters with their mechanics. Players would also be able to disable item throwing in versus and online modes if they choose so for a more intense fight. In every stage, there would be items that prompt on the field as the players damage each other and destroy the stage. Small items chip damage and heavy items cause the opponent to bounce off the wall. Close and Long Range fighters can chain combos if the heavy item hits causing the opponent to bounce off the wall. Mid Range fighters can make an opponent bounce off the wall twice. One from the heavy item and another due to their weapon or superpower being used after throwing the heavy item or chaining combos at the right time. Close Range fighters are the martial artists and brawlers. Mid Range fighters are those who fight with a weapon or superpower and have an attack that causes the enemy to bounce off the wall. Long Range fighters are those with beams, lasers and blasts. Berserkers are a mix of all three, but they have an attack that can change the terrain around them, closing the distance between fighters and stun the enemy if landed perfect for a few seconds. It can only be used once. Each character will have their "Ultimate Marvel" (super move) and depending on who you pick for the 2v2, certain characters will have a unique "Assemble" (team super move). For example if you pick Captain America and Black Panther, their Assemble will be of them working together doing a crazy combo that ends with Steve throwing the shield causing the enemy to fly towards BP and he releases the kinetic energy causing a lot of damage to the enemy. They also would be a great team to use cause Cap throwing the shield makes the enemy bounce off the wall just in time for you to switch to BP and use his Ultimate Marvel if you don't feel like saving it for the Assemble or you can continue the combo. Doctor Doom would be the Campaign and Arcade final boss. If the player beats Arcade without having to continue, a secret boss battle starts and Taskmaster challenges you. He mimics your attacks and defends very well. Always remember to use the items around you, if you get the chance.

You’ve got me thinking of a HUGE list of people I want in this game, but obviously we need avengers fantastic 4 and x men and spider man, many villains like red skull and magneto, and one I REALLY want is Taskmaster

Oh my gosh, yes! This is something we all deserve! Marvel vs capcom is great and all, but having a full on Marvel fighting game would be amazing! And netherrealm could possibly pull it off with WB games, let’s not forget that Tt games is also owned by WB games, and they made the Lego marvel games. If they could do something like that, that I’m sure they could work something out.

Honestly, I'd take anyone except from Neatherrealm. MVC3 just had such a fun and unique artstyle that not expanding on it with an almost Spider-Verse esque stylization would feel like such a waste.

It would be cool if Marvel added Quicksilver, Namor, Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel not Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, and Shanna the She-Devil to the game.

I personally love the oddball picks, the characters that people might not know too well getting their time to shine. So I think adding The Sentry as a sort of mid boss (kinda like Goro in Mortal Kombat) would be insane because he’s basically Marvel’s Superman with an evil side so he could have two fighting modes. Otherwise I’d like to see Shang Chi, Namor, Mr. Negative, Doc Ock, and Yondu in a game like this
