For those that are asking! Links to music in the description, I’m putting up the tracks on my pages (Spotify takes longer), as I’m making the music for these images. Also working on an indie album due out this summer 🤞. Thanks!
It's one of my favorite aesthetics especially in movies like Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and Black Rain. It makes certain scenes more organic. Modern movies have too much of a clean cut look where even garbage in an alleyway looks clean & polished.
Curious fact: the greatest challenge to AI's is to draw hands - "AI cant draw hands or feet because unlike a face - which is symmetrical and has standard lines… the hand does not. It is asymmetrical, has a left and right variant, and can be posed in a multitude of ways -be it singly, OR together."
The movie would be about Peter Quill finding out he's the heir to the benevolent Spartax Empire. Just as they're celebrating, he's framed by his uncle Garth for the murder of his father Emperor Jason. With a ragtag band of misfits, Peter must set on a quest to clear his name and stop his uncle from gaining the Cosmic Cube to rule the universe. "Edge of a Dream" by Steve McClintock would be part of the soundtrack and play during the end credits.
Honestly I miss matte paintings in movies. I know cgi is the next step, but it's like comparing composite modern movie posters to the painted ones. It just feels like it's missing something.
I forgot to mention how creepy it is that it internalized the specific nuanced way that movie stars looked different back then. So if you look close enough, a lot of times you can see the actor from these Avengers films, but also they look like famous people from the 80's and not modern famous people
Chiseled faces, the long manes, the mustaches. They had it down to a T. Today it's just like anything goes. Which is nice, But it's probably the reason AI can't pin us down as easily as they would an older generation that already had a distinct style to it.
@@dibbidydoo4318 There are a lot of possible reasons people looked different in the 1980's not the least of which is diet and exercise trends, smoking habits is another big one. It could also be combining actors from fantasy film screenshots in its databank. I'm literally looking at an AI image on the homepage right now that seems to combine the Cavill and Reeves Supermen because of the "80's dark fantasy" prompt, Reeves would have been the Superman to 80's viewers so it makes sense. I think people give these algorithms too much credit. Sometimes without meaning to, but since they're not sentient I wouldn't say it's "recognizing" anything - although it is replicating it. So there's that I guess.
@@futurestoryteller The AI literally doesn't have access to a databank. It's a 4GB file trained on 100TB of images. The only way it's 4GB is if it has no access to the images.
Don't even have to be these characters. I'd love to see a trend where, filmmakers are making high-budget films, that are (almost) completely CGI-free, the actors aren't all looking like commercial models, and they're actually shooting on film (non-digital). With extra attention to atmosphere and decor. Not that there aren't any great films today. There are undoubtedly. But I would just love such a small kind of subgenre.
I love how the AI made an actually badass looking Prof. Hulk, can definitely picture this one as being a Grumpy and Rough guy instead of... Whatever the fuck Disney did with him And *HOLY FUCK THAT SPIDERMAN SUIT LOOKS FUCKING GLORIOUS*
Idk why Steve Rogers has such a fantastic mustache or why Fury has such a fabulous jacket, but these are all things I need to see incorporated into the MCU
You know looking at that second picture in the guardians section, the one with Rocky. I can almost imagine it moving. Just like puppet back in those movies. It's slightly jerky, but feels so real. Like it nobs when it talks kind of real. I also imagine the voice coming out of that Rocky being one the people from the muppets. All of this is so nuts!!
This was brilliant. As one who loves art by humans I’m scared what AI will do but when you see this you start thinking how you can use it to develop concepts for projects that don’t really require hand drawn (paper or digital) approach. You could create a new reference to work from but it is still scary
A sci-fi fantasy story about heroes from earth, wizards from another dimension, and mercenaries from space coming together to battle a galactic conquerer who threatens all of reality. Already sounds like a pretty sick movie
Admittedly alot of these stills look great, but yeah idk about constantly looking backwards to things from 40 years ago. There's a reason why film and technology in general moves forward. Its fun to imagine what ifs but modern films are pretty amazing, like I saw Avatar a couple weeks ago and it blew me away tbh.
@@gman7497 you make a fair point there, nostalgia's cool and all but the present has it's merits and who knows what the future's gonna bring along. Gonna check that avatar movie next 👍
Part of it being creepy is the uncanny valley of it, these are all AI generated actors, meaning these "humans" never actually existed. There are details, sometimes small, sometimes big, that are just incorrect, could be the texture of their skin, the symmetry of their face, etc., although for some of them its because they have literal monster hands with 6+ fingers.
Oh my God!😲 I would love to have see something like this in the 80s and just been reminded of it by your video, than jump on Amazon to find a copy to be able to watch it again!
Nailed it!!! Love it; so much emotion and atmosphere in every frame. I remember seeing the images on Instagram, but your music brought it together. Can't wait to see the full Ai generated film.
The eerie feeling that I've seen them all before but can't quite recall when or where is quite unsettling. It also definitely feels like images from a dream, maybe it is due to the fact that the AI uses images for reference\learning which we are familiar with and then recreated them for the request input or maybe it is because it is becoming that good in this... or maybe it is both :[ Let it +20 years and who would be able to argue that we aren't living in a simulation? >_< scary and fascinating in the same time
This is exactly how I envisioned every fantasy movie since I was a kid. Probably why movies nowadays feel... off. Being around and aware during the 80's, even if not for the entire decade can really change how you view the world. Sadly we got the dystopian 1984 future... I was hoping for flying cars and laser guns but what can ya do 🤷🏻♂️
It looks pretty amazing and when I consider that in this continuity, we'd be on about phase 30 with May Parker/Spider-Girl and Kevin Masterson/Thunderstrike, I'm kind of here for it.
The funniest thing about the guardian's designs despite how well rendered it is, is that if a guardians movie made in the 80's actually happened it would be a cult film in the style of Dune or the Black Hole and star The Ravengers since they came first lol
I wonder why the AI cant get hands right. If you look, most hands have 6 fingers, and most are "distorted" somehow. But the facial features are spot on.
You know what grinds my gears? Instead of all of these Marvel Super Heroes for potential 80s blockbuster films alongside Hulk's crossovers, Hollywood instead gave us Howard the Duck and a badly envisioned Punisher.
Dude, the music is beatiful and the art gorgeous! Damn, I wanna see this movie! 😂 By the way...Do you have more art of this Peter/ Spidey? The suit it's so damn cool!
These are amazing, I have so many thoughts in my head about what could be and what could of been. Black Panther in the style of a Blaxploitation film would of been epic. GotG as a Jim Henson Production like Labyrinth or Dark Crystal would be incredible. I would love to see Disney and Marvel do more practical effects with smaller stories and budgets. The Captain Marvel image looks fantastic along with the Nick Fury that could of been something special. The image of Thanos at 1.11 did you use Kurtwood Smith as the reference image, because that is just perfect casting!
Yes, 7 months have passed since they first started using the neural network to create such photos, and now, after these 7 months, every second person uses the neural network to create any photo and video. Take for example some sites where they upload their work: paintings, drawings and much more, but what now ....... now there is virtually every drawing is the work of a neural network. But time flies fast.
The MCU would’ve been amazing if it was made in this era of filmmaking. Sure, it wouldn’t have the same amount of special effects (for better or worse), and wouldn’t have the same kind of casting and actors. But dammit it would be an amazing array of instant classics, and ones I would certainly enjoy.
