Im honestly surprised Modok became one of my favorite Marvel villains just because of this game, dude, I mean sure he looks kinda goofy but his character build and voice actor balance it out perfectly. If im being honest, I enjoyed Modok more than most of the MCU villains including Ultron.
I think the writers and designers did a great job of making Tarleton's transformation into M.O.D.O.K. appear grotesque rather than comedic, which also took balls considering he's often been used as a "joke villain" in comics or previous games. Some of his earlier scenes (e.g. in the car with Kamala and Monica) are pretty darn creepy where he hasn't yet reached full-on psionic supervillain status
@@zyxelztrife2408 in the spiderman game there is a wakandan building and this game is supposed to be connected with the spiderman games so that could possibly mean a black panther dlc or maybe even a black panther game
Mecha Man in the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi, “He’s more machine now than man. Twisted and evil.” I kinda think he doesn’t need to use a toilet while stuck in the Doomsday Chair.
There’s gonna be a shit ton of free dlc characters and dlc missions so we might actually get Dr Doom heck there’s gonna be an entire dlc campaign where you play as Hawkeye in a future where the world ended and the main antagonist of the dlc is Maestro
i thought as much. My game has a glitch where on the thor fight, Modok is outside of the fight stage, so i can't move on from that fight no matter how much i restart the checkpoint. I noticed that this game is very glitchy.
So a little while ago when this game came out for pre order there was also a sale for the dark souls games it was $20 for all 3 games and bloodborne. I had every intention at the time to get the pre-order but then I got sunk into dark souls and man I gotta say I'm so happy I paid for dark souls instead of this phew saved me $40
6:11 my modok is out of the arena and doesn't move. I've tried restarting from check points, dying, and going to the main menu but he always spawns there. I can't find ANYTHING talking about Modok soft locking the game. Anyone have any tips other than Uninstall and reinstall?
Can't imagine how good this game would have been if they only focused on the singleplayer campaign. Because this was sooo good, but with more playtime and depth it could have been perfect. Idk what Square thought when they tried to force Crystal to make a live service game
The final fight between the Sentry and Giant Kamala could have been like the fight between Ares and Kratos at the end of God of War, but it's just quicktime events... That sucks
@@R.Productions616 its the heavy brooklyn accent, which actually makes sense considering thats where hes from, but pretty much every voiced portrayal of cap in every other game and cartoon has given him a standard neutral white guy voice so its odd to hear him with an accent
I hope DLC stories are gonna be a sure thing, and more than one (especially now with Black Panther & have a skin for Chadwick's version) .. btw, where The fuck is Hawkeye & Black Widow is just a special forces fighter with twin pistols, what makes her a "super" hero? Lol
This is proof Modok can be a good villain and not what ever we got in quantumania and this is my favorite version of Ms marvel were she was actually a character.
Iron Man part was the best. Because, first, it feels right as MODOK is his enemy. Second, he uses the best abilities. His psionic blast, missiles and telepathic powers with a shield while flying, which adds excitement. You can also fight his goons if you want. As for the others, Thor and Hulk just fight his goons. With Cap, he just uses his tentacles which is lame and with Nat, the sticky energy bombs and pulling the ground up as he flies across is boring. And Kamala doesn't even fight him. We just push a few buttons against a big ass robot. Lame.
@@aidenp6001 i personally don't think it'd make sense that cap wouldn't speak like a normal person since he's just a regular guy from earth.. thor i get, but cap? i just don't see why he speaks like that.
So they obviously know how to make good cinematic boss fights. I hope they put this level of effort into some of the upcoming DLC boss fights. Not for every villain (some villains such as Super Adaptoid were simple and that’s good), but major villains should have good boss fights like this one. Please make the campaign missions replayable just like the side missions are!! Also, I’m surprised MODOK doesn’t have a villain sector multiplayer side mission. Not to this extent, but still another boss fight.
@@BossFightDatabase Goddamn it I knew it was gonna be mostly those crummy multiplayer missions & not actual ones like the starting mission where you switch between multiple characters. Also that camera, fuck I remember during beta battles with a lot of enemies became way chaotic so this makes sense.
The battle was not too difficult, as it seems, and kinda boring and long. As if the devs wanted to stretch it intentionally, they made you battle lots of non-vital encounters durng this fight. Kinda lame on their part and the game itself looks like dozens other superhero modern games
The story was good, had the gameplay been like what spiderman was, and had it centre more on the main FUCKING CHARACTER i'd honestly be obsessed with it.
@@NefariousSpecter nope, miss marvel was in the comics. Along with embiggening, and stretching, she can shrink, regenerate/healing factor, and change her appearance to that of captain marvel. (On one occasion for changing into captain marvel.)
@@nutellaninja4667 The story focuses around the character who isn't even an actual Avenger, and instead of a proper big hero moment, she gets condescending validation like a child. Gee, I wonder what the problem might be. Imagine an X-Men game where the ending has nothing to do with Storm or Wolverine, but instead just has everyone gathering around to congratulate Jubilee.
@@CaptainRegular What do you mean "condescending validation"? You're right, she is not a true Avenger *yet,* but she is definitely Avengers material. They even hint that the Avengers give her "special missions" as well, meaning she is basically an official superhero. The Avengers simply gave her credit where the credit is due. And I'm sorry, but I laughed when you said she didn't get a big hero moment. She literally got one of the biggest hero moments in the game. The "validation" came after her impressive display.
@@nutellaninja4667There's nothing in this entire shitpile game that can be called “an impressive display.” Still, kudos to their marketing team for going above and beyond, arguing with people in RU-vid comments. I hope they're paying you well.
So... Modok for me is power level 106.. while my caps at 10ish.. I do nothing for damage.. I can knock him down once but it's kinda not worth the time and effort . I think my games bugged .
I watched other walkthroughs of the game and it seem like almost the characters have the similar move set. That being said the combat looks really repetitive.
Iron man shooting the thrusters off of Modok looks terrible. Terrible idea, shooting small projectiles at the thrusters? Not even a convincing enough, looks like shit at best and at worst they’re trying.
What's with this story? Why is Modok teaming up with the Kree? Why did he get to create the Inhumans?? Why is a story involving him taking itself too seriously???
Great game but awful game at the same time. So many parts were straight up mazes or just terrible gameplay. Happy I played it to say I did but would never comeback
