The utter humiliation of what was once a great character is complete. The utter downfall of Carol Danvers at the hands of incompetent writers and artists.
And that aren't tears of joy right? More like tears of suffering? Besides I didn't know that Captain Wokeness was actually a good character in her past versions.
@@collectorking6204 This entire deveploment is just sad. I am really considering to actually write a novel someday... just to make a good female character. Someday.
i been reading comics since they were 15 cents.. so that is many decades ago. i have seen artist come and go as well as writers in both major comic book group ( DC and MARVEL) ..i have seen the rise of comics book companies and their demise (Pacific comics) so i been around and enjoyed them. I also seen writers put todays issues into them as well (such as Vietnam war veterans coming home and what they gone through) to other civil issues too. So once again i been around. But i noticed in the last few years (not that long) they agenda of some groups are influencing writers to put their agenda into their material. i can understand this as well .. but when you totally put people to literally destroy comic book characters or companies i might say.. because of a select small percentage of peoples view.. what are you say? One question comes to mind.. who is reading these books? Seriously.. it is the ones who been around for a span of years who have done so. When you are able to throw your main readers to the side to people who might not even read them .. you will have a decline of loyal readers who have promoted your company to the status that you were in or once were. Remember no readership to buy .. no comic company. The artwork is another thing.. you used to have to meet a certain standard to be in Marvel comics ok! Now i know we all have artist that we love with different styles (Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, John Buscema, as well Michael Golden to name a few) but when the mere art work is terrible and you want your readers to buy such works? what are you saying? Remember some of the comics are works of art! But i feel (my opinion) that the bar of such art work has dropped ! and this Capt Marvel is a prime example to such dribble that Marvel Comics should be ashamed of! One last point. i agree with you Collector King on you saying Capt. Marvel was already a strong character. .because she was ! And if certain groups had taken the time to do research or just plain read her comics they would of already saw this fact!!!
They don't care. All they want is to push the personal agenda they have at any cost. They use characters they did not create and worlds they did not set in motion as a personal sled. They also want to self project. They make these books for themselves and they don't even buy them. The biggest irony is that they EXACTLY what they claim they are against. Hypocritical, narcissistic, sexist, racists that hate everyone and everything that is not them. By the way it's never too late to try something new if you haven't already looked at manga. In Japan if they pander they pander to the fans. You may want to give it a shoot. They have all sorts of stories I am sure you will find something to your liking.
During early 2010s, my first female character crush was the original black suit Carol Danvers Ms. Marvel like the OG Ms. Marvel. However when they gave her that title of Captain Marvel and gave Ms. Marvel to Kamala Khan (remember her?) I tuned out. I decided to collect and play Bayonetta as my primary hobby (Japanese IP). When it comes to graphic novels now, I've read mostly manga. Just the way times are now I guess.
What on earth was wrong with the old design and personality? The main reason I personally don't care for or like the current Captain Marvel is because she both is and looks boring & generic like some cliché hero/Superman clone you would see in a cartoon/ad/comic-within-a-comic spoof, her powers don't seem all that interesting, she's unfriendly, and feels so forced & shoehorned into everything I swear. That, and both she and the c*nt actress that plays her just as "meh" live-action counterpart are outright vile and insufferable as you say.
Step aside Sondra fuller (had to do a google search to find out her name ) carol danvers is the true female clay face because her face literally looks like it's made out of clay
