People pointing out a clip of park at 3:07 that they think it looks worse is cause games are not in same weather season. Sm1 is autumn thats why there is leafs on the groun and stuff while Sm2 is set in summer.
is not Spider man 2 not next gen leap, is spider man 4 looks next gen on prev gen hardware. Spider Man 2 packed with much more refined details compare to Spider Man PS4
@@rogerlee4126 I have it on ps 5 and I can say it would be possible to play the game to 100 percent because it's the same engine everyone saying otherwise don't have any know how how a game works yes it would have much longer load times like ratchet and clank on pc without an ssd and a little bit less graphics and 30 fps no ray tracing etc. but it would be playable to 100% if they decide to also bring it on ps 4 pro
@@XWXS2 So you think digital foundry doesn’t know a thing about how game works? Literally all of the tech reviews are impressed of the technical wonder insomniac did with ps5 hardware. You are the one who doesn’t know a thing.
@@Hellyeahray21 yeah but I mean i expected an actual accurate Manhattan because the developers said that they spend a lot of time on google maps but ig some other time
Anyone who’s played Spider-Man Remastered on PC knows what Spider-Man 2 should have looked like and that’s not it. “Next gen gaming” is a marketing lie. Nothing about the Xbox or PS5 are next gen in any way, they were outdated even at release. The 3 and 4 series RTX cards blow those consoles out of the water.
guys seriously the first one looks wayyy better i mean maybe its because i havnt played the 2nd one yet but look at everything mostly the colors. for expample the streets or the blue on the suit. on spm2 that blue and red look like peter have been bleaching that sht for weeks . huge downgrade imo hope im wrong
@@yusseftheelusive4357 No I played miles morales first because it came with my ps5, then I only just played spiderman remastered recently and didn't think it was spoiled by playing MM first. It actually gives a good background for Spiderman 2 especially with The City that Never Sleeps DLC. Also Spiderman Remastered is only £20 if you already have MM
Is this the ps4 vs the ps5 graphics comparison of Spiderman 1 vs Spiderman 2 or the ps4 version of Spiderman 1 but on ps5 console compared to Spiderman 2 on ps5. Because if it's the ps4 version played on ps5 for Spiderman 1 then it's understandable to look that great.
@@rogerlee4126 Fake news. Also, who said anything about realism? The whole focus on realism is part of what's ruining games today. You exhibit fake gamer energy.
@@ShadowMan64572 If you paly the game instead of watching the compressed video, you will see the grass and trees in the park are big over hauled. Besides, rest of the clip shows how great spider man 2 looks and you choose to ingnore that. What a hater.
@@TheWorstRPGChannel but this is for current gen? The maps now double in size, significantly increased traffic and ped density, ray tracing and more things going on in the background. How tf is that not next gen?
@@ShivamKumar-ip6sk Fake news. Fidelity mode barely looks any different overall and runs at just 30. The Matrix remains the only true next gen showpiece.
@@ShadowMan64572 Hey it's better to stay quiet and appear to know something than to open your mouth and let everyone know, just fyi to succeed in life.
I feel like the speed you can travel is the biggest improvement over everything. Play Spiderman PS4 and web swing around for a bit. Then play Spiderman 2 and see just how much faster than you can move, it’s actually crazy how much detail the game has for how fast everything needs to load. Going back to playing the original, it feels so much slower. I think another important thing to note is that we’re comparing the remastered version with the PS5 version. The remaster had so many tweaks to the graphics, it looks so much better. We’re comparing 2 next gen games, it makes more sense to compare the PS4 version of the game and then you can see how much of a generational leap it is.
no tf is not. the traffic and ped density is significantly increases. the map is now double the size. ray tracing is now built into the game, more building details, instant fast travel etc... no way in hell ps4 can run it
Quite a clear example of trade offs for a higher frames. You don't just double the frames without doubling the resource allocations. Spiderman 2 runs at twice the framerate leaving a lot less room for higher fidelity, better draw distance, npc density, effects, geometry etc. They COULD have done a lot more with it but you can tell that they prioritised framerate over fidelity from the beginning. So as it stands, most aspects of the game are only marginally better
@@ShadowMan64572 yeah, thats the point with fidelity mode, if it were 60fps then they'd have less potential to push the overall hardware, 30fps allows them to do so. We have kind of arrived at this point of stagnation with gaming were rather than allowing the developers to choose how they utilise the hardware. We are telling them that it must have a 60fps mode irrespective of the compromises it takes to achieve it. Most people don't even understand why there is a choice and just say "i don't want to choose, i want fidelity at 60fps". It is akin to supporting last gen systems. You build the core around the lowest denominator and then scale up with any head room. In spiderman 2 case, they built it with 60fps being the focus so it compromised what they COULD have done at 30fps. Even ps1 could do 60fps, it isn't a next gen feature. It would only be standard if Sony pushed a mandate on its developers on how they were allowed to use the hardware. Thankfully they haven't but now a lot of developers feel that they have to. It could have built with more living environments, effects, npc density and interaction. Overall higher geometry but they decided to allocate their resources to the extra frames and we are left with everything else just being a marginal bump beyond the ssd usage. That's just the reality
Some comparisons shows that Spiderman 1 better than Spiderman 2 .. + idk when we could see a real next Gen game . Even though Spiderman 2 is look great but not even close to be a next-gen game I'm really disappointed
@@user-exuytv Fake news. You telling me the difference between Spider Man PS4 and Spider Man 2 PS5 is the same difference as Red Dead Redemption 1 to Red Dead Redemption 2? PS4 game with PS5 enhancements at best, not a true next gen leap. Sad, sad news.
@@user-exuytv don't be blind I don't have to play the game to say that isn't a next gen game . This video is proof that the game has some areas downgraded from the previous one or somehow enhanced a little .. + i can call it a next gen game only for taking advantage of the SSD speed of the ps5 hardware.

Howabout show about the swinging and how worse and less realstic it is.the swinging now has not a great sense of speed accelaration is to fast and its like hes swinging with zero physics because how fast it is now
@@wingedhussar1453everyone complained that the swinging was a bit slow and should have been faster. But it was limited because of the ps4. Don't upgrade your swinging speed if it affects you that much
SM1 have better textures design higher density of people and some animations looks better. SM2 i suppose took less time to develop. 1:40 - way better shadows but it automatics. 2:30 - awesome sharpening and colors but what with ground, bridge? They built up yesterday?
