@@toyboi291 I would love that to but I don't see that happing no time soon possible never these companies only focus on the same stuff wolverine cyclops jean grey strom rouge gambit cable bishop and magneto Iceman morph angel and beast we will never see maybe beast but not Im morph or angel
The Amazing Friends Iceman rightly gets flak for using an older body mold, but IMO it gets the deco right. Cel shaded blue and white is a good representation of what he looked like in Jim Lee era comics
Can you imagine if Legends had the unique sculpting, paint, and accessories that Select comes with? Or if Select were 6" and were articulated like Legends? Perfect line, there
This figure made me like the character even more. The fact that iceman can also change his size makes it acceptable for my mafex/ marvel legends collection
I love Marvel select, all my collection is hers and this ice man is the only figure I'm missing to complete my X-Men. I recently received the Apocalypse and I can say that Diamond select is surprising with each launch.
I always was an Iceman fan. I will have to pick this up if I see it. I like the diamond select price point for what you get and quality compared to legends these days.
TOTALLY COOL MARVEL SELECT X-MEN ICEMAN FIGURE! I LIKE THE TRANSLUCENT PLASTIC HEAD, BODY, AND ACCESSORIES INCLUDED! VERY INFORMATIVE CONTENT. THANKS FOR SHARING!
I usually forward to the scale comparison on non Legends figures to see if they will fit in with the ML collection. Cool figure but too big for my collection.
I do like the transition from white to light blue on the arms and legs, but I feel like it's too jarring of a change. I think there should be more of a gradient, you could probably get that with a paint effect, but I feel like that would stand out too much too. Maybe if they were able to have whisps of light blue somehow molded into the tops of his forearms? It's kinda hard to describe and it would probably be a lot more labor and cost intensive tho, I'm mostly thinking of how it looks when people do art with clear liquid resin, and inject small bits of colored liquid resin into it have those "whisps" of color
Great figure but im more than a little disappointed that they didnt include a smiling head for this figure after all Iceman isnt the dark an broody type he was the joker on the team also a mouthless Age of Apocolypes head would have been tight as well !
@@Sorcerers_Apprentice_11 yeah I’m not impressed. Hasbro really needs to step up their game. The best ones they have are that retro one and the AOA version, and that’s not saying much since those are riddled with problems too.
@@obi-onekenerdi yeah I’ve got them all, hopefully this inspires a marvel legends upgrade, too bad these ice blast fx are connected to these hands though bc you know ML won’t have shit for accessories
there is one thing I really don't like and that's why I'm not gonna buy this figure. white arms and legs when he's entirely blue? everything else is great but why did they make such a weird color palette? It's cool that blue turns into white, but here you can really see against a white background that he had no arms and legs. and it's even more noticeable when it's darker. Why didn't they do it like the human torch? I'm very disappointed
To me the accessories are awesome, and pretty much exactly what I’ve wanted and never gotten from Legends. The figure itself……meh. He doesn’t look too much better than a Hasbro figure with that translucent plastic.
Damn, I REALLY wanted to like this figure but I’m actually very disappointed but it. I think the gradient affect in the limbs looks pretty bad IMO. And while it’s expensive, I think a painted “frosty” body is the way to go over a translucent body because being able to see the joints so visibly is pretty ugly. And of course, like all other “non-big” Marvel Selects the lack of articulation is frustrating. The ONLY thing I like is the accessory selection tbh
