Slight nerd-picking here, but Wolfsbane is actually a woman. (Just wanted to throw that out there, since you refered to the card as male.) Great video, by the way, very helpful!
Did I actually?? That was just a complete error on my part, I know Wolfsbane is female. Sometimes when Im talking fast I make silly mistakes, you have my apologies
This video is a bit of a landmark for me so I gotta comment. 1. It's the first marvel snap video I ever watched. 2. It's the first snap creator I started following. 3. It was the beginning of playing my first card game and helped in getting to infinite the last two seasons. 4. It is what I watched over and over the first day I got sober. It's been a great year for me, and sometimes things you do help people in ways you might not ever know. Thanks Alex and everyone in the snap community ❤
This comment genuinely made my week. I am so happy to hear that you've made so much progress in your personal life (and in the game too)! Life can be challenging, but something that I've learned over the years is that we human beings are resilient, and we truly can accomplish anything we set our minds to. I'm so proud to hear that you've overcome personal challenges and I hope that the next 100 years are just as awesome as this past one was for you
@@AlexanderCoccia thanks man. I remember driving to the doctor every week with my cousin Sean listening to you and cozy on Snapchat. We both still listen every week. Please tell him I said thanks
Man that Kazar deck is frigging amazing!!! I never did as good as when I assembled that deck. I had to mix it up because some cards I don't have. It's a dope deck!!! Thanks!
I'm excited about this game. I've been playing for about 2 weeks now and love it. I played, with real cards, Marvel vs. DC System back in the early 2000's and haven't found any TCG as fun since. This is that game, love it!
This would work if the cards weren't selected at random for you. Also I think the game reads your cards because sometimes it will select matches where they purposely have things that will sabotage your cards. Also your opponents are matched with the same or slightly better cards. It's all chance tbh. I know you said it's how you play your cards but tbh the games don't always work in your favor. I truly belive they're reading your cards
Holy shit man. What a welcome surprise. I used to watch your videos when you played Gwent but didn’t keep up after (no hard feelings) 😂. Looks like I’m back on the A-Train with some Snap action.
Hey, just reached infinite! With just cards that are almost available to everyone.....started playing like 2 weeks ago!!! The Kazoo deck helped me haha!!
Loved the video, unfortunately I seem to be missing a lot of the cards that you mentioned should be attainable within the first hour or so, and I've played for awhile, also i dont see them on the reward track. Am I missing something? Korg, Angela, scarlet witch, just to name a few.
Nope, you aren't missing anything. A LOT of the cards come from the immediate rewards and starter decks, but ultimately, there are several that unlock in POOL 1, which is collection level 0-214. It isn't very long of play time, and you'll find yourself with those cards before you know it. They unlock randomly within the pool, there's no guaranteed drop, until level 214 where you are guaranteed to have ALL OF POOL 1, which is those cards plus many, many others. You'll get there soon, I promise! Before you know it :)
Don' play Yondu or Cable after Krog, because I saw Yondu removing the rock from the enemy deck or Cable making you draw the rock. Ruining both effects at the same time.
watched this game as an ad for a streamer yesterday, thought it was just another silly mobile game but turns out its a good ass card game! like to see you making content for it, i used to watch you alot during the underlord days but sadly that game died off
I love your channel and this video. It truly gives valuable info with great opinion examples. Clear and to the point perfect one for ones introduced this game. However I’m wondering what led light/s are you using for your shelf backing for that color fading? I want to get me some for my actions figures? Thx bro 🩵💎🩵⚔️🤘🏼
I started playing this today. I am glad to see you playing this too. This game is honestly fun. Edit: thanks for the amazing decks. Kinda reminds me of the Underlords decks.
I fail to see the point of Yondu's ability. In every game there's going to be a number of cards that a player won't draw (in a typical game that number is going to be 7 out of 16). What Yondu does is simply swap one of those cards with one that they were going to draw without you having any control on what cards get swapped. Basically what it does is just tell your opponent "hey, you are not going to draw this card this game, pretend it was at the bottom of your deck, adjust your strategy accordingly if you can!". Having that information could even be advantageous to your opponent, I don't know...
@Alexander Coccia Yondu and Cable don't actually control, as it is all random. It does not matter if you remove a random card or if a random card stays on the bottom of the opponent's deck. If you Kork after Yondu that is a small nice value because you increase the chance of the rock getting drawn. If you Cable after Kork you could even draw the rock! Cosmo is one of the most difficult cards to play because you need to know where and when to expect a reveal effect.
It is still Control in the sense of Magic the Gathering's Mill/Steal strategy. You are affecting your opponents ABILITY to play the game. Tempo is mostly about disruption and timing. And in a Game that usually plays 6 turns, shaving out potential (yes random) is denial. I have hit and been hit by Yondu and they took my Chavez T1
@@fearanarchy You did not understand my point: You remove the top card from your opponent's deck, what card is the top card is random, so the same chance is there for you improving or disimproving your opponent's draw. Chavez being removed might be the exception from my point. Still, most people play Chavez to not draw it until turn 6 and most don't even care if they draw it on 6. Milling in MTG is not controlling, so milling is a win condition in most scenarios (Milling being not competitive in ProTour Level 99% of Magics history is basically the proof for this). Stealing permanents has absolutely nothing to do with milling and what Yondu and Co. do.
@@d3m0nger TL;DR- Yondu is "Chip Damage" Control/Disruption; with RNG at the wheel. I understood the point. And that it is RNG "control"/disruption. The point is still that after RNG you have removed a piece. And if you like either the low 1 energy cost, early RNG, or even the convenience that you are taking their 12 and making it 11, it is still playing a non-zero factor. In game where the Location says Draw 2, or Double Reveal, you are having a greater impact. It has arguable parallels to Black Bolt in that it does something; yes BB does more in a vacuum, but it also costs 5x. Yondu hitting and making it publicly known can, in a non-zero way, impact a Snap/Escape of the piece hit were more critical. And sometimes you just hit a Cyclops.
@@fearanarchy y'all are forgetting the key part that make Yondu garbage. Since the deck is randomized, you don't know the order of the cards, so you don't know what is the top card. Milling one card from the top is essentially the same as milling the bottom card of the deck since they are both unknown. That means that you are essentially milling the bottom card of the deck and opponent wasn't going to draw it anyway. you essentially wasted a card a 1 mana for nothing. Milling cards in MTG are garbage (not only for the recursions effect) for that same reason, the only place they want to be is in a milling deck or in a self mill deck for generating card advantage with recursion. Also milling is not control, control decks are decks that use cards that generate value, such as card advantage, mana advantage and tempo. Some control decks also have milling as their win con, but not all.
Overall good points. They did shave Angela down to a 0 Power which means a lot surprisingly as now she is only on par with things like Carnage, etc. For beginners I like running Quicksilver, Domino, and Chavez as it keeps you on curve guaranteed. And I overuse Mr Fantastic in just about every deck. Sidenote: Wolfsbane is (or at least was) female.
@Miki P Domino still sees moderate play in certain builds to smooth curve. In some Agatha builds I have seen Quicksilver. I am not saying they are gold standards, but as of right now, I don't know of any card that is permanent benched. Even Yellowjacket is seeing love
What's the definition of Beginner here? I've been playing for several hours now, Collection Level 65, and don't have quite a few of these. Is there a point I should reach before I even consider looking at Deck Guides? EDIT: Found you answered this below. I'll finish Pool 1 then come back!
Amazing video I'll definitely check the other and the ones in the futures I just don't get it when you say that we can reach pool 2 in 2 hours, which is impossible
Finally got Korg today so I'm able to build the Control and Tempo deck now, which one do you recommend playing right now? I've been stuck at around rank 35 for 2 days now and really want to reach infinite this first (global launch) season.
Well that sucks... I was hoping to get a new deck to try but at a 70 collection level there isn't a single deck listed here I have all the cards for. Oh well
You're still brand new! Which I mean, is to be expected, it is launch day after all lol! The majority of the cards here are unlocked in POOL 1, which is between collection level 0-214. You are guaranteed to have all of them by then, and they are unlocked randomly as you progress. You'll get there in NO TIME! Trust me :)
I love seeing these decks... but how do I get some of these cards. The randomness of cards you get is killing me. Like I have the red dino... got him early... but have none of those other cards in that deck....
Yeah, that is how the collection system works! Its good and bad for the reasons you are experiencing. People can't just build PERFECT DECKS right off the bat, and have to experiment. Its fun, but yeah, can be frustrating. You'll get the cards over time tho!
Is it just me or is it not strange that I've been playing for several hours and I can't make a single one of these decks? I have like 90% of the first and third decks, but less than half of the last two.
Nope, not strange at all. The collection system being random makes it tricky when you first start, so you'll have to make substitutions! The second two decks has cards that unlocked a bit later on, but only in the second pool, so you'll get there soon enough!!
It probably has something to do with how the system is coded. It might be that in your deck it auto places chavez at the top and then checks whether or not it is turn 6 rather than having it always be in the 6th slot (probably because some things can change the deck count like drawing more cards)
Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, you'll get those cards before you know it, I promise! Korg is easy to replace, but Scarlet Witch is hard because she is the location correction. You'll get her soon :)
You'll have em all before you know it! I'm actually working on new videos with JUST pool 1 cards to make it easier for people just starting out. Pool 1 and 2 end fast. It's pool 3 that's a long haul lol
Nope! You've done nothing wrong! A LOT of the cards come from the immediate rewards and starter decks, but ultimately, there are several that unlock in POOL 1, which is collection level 0-214. It isn't very long of play time, and you'll find yourself with those cards before you know it :)
@@AlexanderCoccia what do you mean by collection level 214. Is that the green bar in the center that goes up every time I upgrade a card? I've been playing for many hours and I'm only around level 73 I think. Is there a trick to level this quicker? I'm starting to run out of credits. I just hit bronze level 3 on the ladder. Mostly with decks I've made myself. Your decks have inspired me to make many more.
Yep, that green bar is your collection level! Yeah, and you'll run out of credits, they are delivered to you through the missions and the weeklies over time. That's kinda the FTP catch, you can BUY gold and then buy more credits to progress FASTER. But you really don't need to. Just keep doing the missions, playing at your pace, and you'll start to raise that collection level!
@@AlexanderCoccia Speaking of luck, I just got home in my last game. Already finished the season pass by this point though so he will sit there until the next one.
