I'm so happy for her! I remember an interview where she said she was working a job she wasn't happy with, and then she got this opportunity. I'm so happy she really landed this role and aced it! 🙌 Let's go for our Echo!

Echo was solid...maybe a little to short for my taste, 2-3 more episodes would have been nice, but that only shows how much i enjoy that character (and Vincent obviously back as Fisk)

She's fantastic in the role. I definitely hope to see her as Echo pop up in more MCU projects outside the "spotlight" banner and street-level projects. As a comics fan, there's always a joy in seeing all the heroes come together, and she deserves to stand tall alongside the past and future Avengers and MCU heroes.

Perfect actress

After watching videos like this i dont understand how some people are happy after tv shows or movies fail (not talking about this one in paricular).

She is phenomenal. Any time she’s on screen I’m captivated. Really really really hoping we get more of Maya in the future, either another Season of Echo or some heavy focus in Daredevil: Born Again. DESPERATE to see Maya and Matt Murdock interact. How interesting would that be for the two of them to communicate? One who lacks sight, the other who lacks hearing, both excel in the way they compensate to meet somewhere in the middle

It's cool that it's wonderful to have an actress who is deaf and has to use sign language so everyone can read, you know. I loved fantastic marvel

I’m super happy for her and she killed it! Almost teared up watching this at the dang laundromat😩. ASL is such a beautiful language.

I binged and enjoyed the whole season in the same day. Fantastic job on all parts. Loved Echo! Loved Kingpin! Cool to see Daredevil, can't wait for more of that! And it made me miss Hawkeye/Ronin, like seeing him too in there. Also, I liked Henry, Skully, and cousin Biscuits too! Oh and Bonnie/Devery too, but I liked her more as Kahhori!

She is marvellous

This show was great, a really good change of pace for MCU great encapsulated story that didn't rely on other character cameos. My only complaint with it is that it's too short it deserves 8 episodes. I wish we could have got more time with the side characters interacting with Maya, so here's hoping we get that in the future for her character.

I love when someone can come along and make me care about a character that i cannot see getting anymore range. Didn't care about echo, i thought this was a strange project to pick up and it definitely has some of the flaws of other mcu shows but man did i have fun watching this. Fantastic choreography, great cast, pacing gets wonky at times but something interesting always picks things back up whether it's action or a well crafted dialogue.

So happy they were able to create such an environment on set. Sounds like they put a lot of effort into making everyone feel welcome and part of the team. And the show ended up being fantastic. Glad we could spend more time with Maya and meet her family. Hopefully she returns at some point.

I'm happy and proud for Alaqua Cox because she has NO complain on her own role and she needs to do this just for the Marvel superfans especially every representation like representing women empowerment, PWDs community representation, as well as the Sign Language importances. 👍👍👍👏👏👏💯💯💯💪💪

The fact that she's actually deaf and can sign is amazing. Often in movies and shows, they get someone who has no disabilities to pretend that they do for the role and it throws me off. WHen I first started watching Echo I said her acting was convincing because she actually is like her character. Talk about perfect casting.

Over the absolute moon for her. Alaqua is an amazing performer - and for her to be all these things that usually would prohibit her from getting such an huge role & her own show (woman, deaf, native) - she is a joy to watch and I truly see her as Echo. I have to remind myself she’s acting!!!

I always really love that Marvel constantly takes a chance on brand new actors, you can see they're really dedicated to finding the perfect casting and not just buying in some big name actor. That's how we got Alaqua and Iman, perfect for their characters.

A scene where she saw her mom as an adult had me n tears

I would say, the only thing I didn't like about the series was everything related to her " power ". Especially during the final episode. I don't think it well with how grounded the show was, other than that the fights were great, the acting was great, Alaqua Cox was awesome as a lead. She's great

I enjoy echo I hope we can see her more

Maybe many of us don't realize that but the power that the Maya Lopez character can have for all the communities that she represents must not to underrate. A new ispiration, very different by the icons of the MCU, but very interesting. It's truly important for Marvel Studios having a character like that and, whatever all of you like the series or not, i believe that in terms of characterization and empathize to Maya Lopez, the show has centre the point. It will be difficult for, I imagine, the not higher visualizzations that the product is having, to see the character again, but i hope it so much for the potential that she can still show more in the future. Great job by Alaqua Cox and by the studio to work togheter with the Choctaw nation

She is perfect for echo. just like most actors in MCU ,She is the unreplaceable actor for Maya. Plus I like her being disabled in both reality & acting ,because It tells us that being disabled /missing something that mostly other have makes u not weak ,but stronger & special that might make rise above the world. Love u ,Alaqua.❤❤❤ ,and thank u ,Marvel for giving her this amazing opportunity. U guys did it.

We need more deaf actors and actresses in TV shows and movies. They bring more character in their body language than the ones who speak.
